  1. Take liquor for example. Does Ocean Now support ordering a double, ordering neat vs on rocks? I cannot order a Yellowbird or other tropical concoctions I and bartenders can be aware of.
  2. You might want to catch up here: https://book.princess.com/captaincircle/membershipBenefits.page Download the PDF and review it. You should also check this out: https://www.princess.com/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages/
  3. I have read this issue. No way to know unless one could dialog with the system designers as decision-makers, but they may have reduced sharing space in DMW. Here is why it could be and why you shouldn't worry much I am thinking. As I mentioned, the App cannot and does not setup a group of strangers at a sharing table and keep them together. Sharing is going to be a 6-top or 8-top 99%. The rare 10-tops may be reserved for large family groups or it could be at least some of them are open for sharing spots as well. I would think as a walk-up who wants a sharing table, you would not be waiting long at all to be seated in whatever DR they direct you to for that option. Do you see all three DR's available in the App when searching for any kind of a table - Private as well? Yes, more space could open up once on board - especially if your ship has a DR held back from the App in advance of sailing date.
  4. It should be an option in the Princess Medallion App. It should also discount the cost for Platinum & Elite guests, but the App doesn't always have the correct member level for some guests.
  5. Yes. $20/day. If you qualify, 50% off that rate. For some unknown reason, they did not increase this price when they bumped up the Medallion Net rates.
  6. Being not much into liquor (other than tropical rum drinks or a rare dark rum & Coke), seeing this makes me think of J.R. Ewing's "go-to" libation.
  7. Last full wine menu I saw offered only one port by the glass. No Tokaji. Bottles I presume? Old stock? Were they willing to pour BTG?
  8. Your Plus packages are priced lower to account for missing the Crew Appreciation since CA is baked into your cruise fare that you pay. It costs $15/day for a single device and not sure what the current PCL conversion to USD is in play. The $20 figure quoted above is not quite accurate as that is intended for single disparate days. If you book for the voyage, it is $15.
  9. This is unnecessary. Just take the bottle with you to dinner (or lunch). I don't mind it at all as I am saving a ton of money when I bring my own wine on board. I also have a collapsible tote that I can strap a carton to if needed. Have not seen a staffed wine table in "forever" since we check-in early. Seems like that is typical from reading other reports.
  10. LOL. Not quite. $20 wines are more like $60. I have priced out all of the Princess menu wines and some are around the $10 - $15 mark at retail (Total Wine or similar). Markups these days on their bottled wine is often $40 range or even more typically. That said, one can find a small number of bottles on the list where the cost to buy and pay $20 corkage is under $10 savings over PCL menu price + 18% gratuity. There was a Merlot that was actually cheaper on the ship, but IDK if they still have it. Something like that is a rarity on the full wine list.
  11. I seem to recall someone posting that the way Catch was designed, foot traffic doesn't come through the restaurant area any longer.
  12. Not a proactive TA - they just made the change requested by their customer. It is up to Princess guest to spot and take advantage of a better offer or price drop after booking a voyage. From original pricing, a price drop could find a higher category cabin (say, M1) pricing lower than a guest originally booked a MA or MB at. However, the same MA or MB will also have gone down in price. Guest can either get a price savings on original cabin or decide to spend the savings on a self-made upgrade. That's a nice thing to happen for a Princess guest. I have done that a couple of times in moving from an Inside to a Balcony. In the case above, I guess I would still be looking at the value proposition for what Reserve Dining cost me versus my new lower priced original cabin.
  13. Definitely the 14th per itinerary. I looked up the port times which OP did not provide.
  14. 2. YES 3. For an aisle seat at a popular show, 1/2 hr early should be good as long as don't care too much about location. 4. Without an accurate floor diagram of all 5 DR's probably impossible to say. They can also adjust many of the tables into 2x2 or 1x4 - at least on ships we have been on.
  15. Agree. And it might save a $5 delivery service charge.
  16. Medallion Net has been $15/day for single device for a looong time now. Platinum and Elite get 50% off. 4 devices is $40/day.
  17. Gotcha, but I was opining about more normal advance bookings. I realize Drop 'n' Go's are fully payable and non-refundable. And choice can be limited. Yes, I find it odd that DW comes with Ref Dep if booking in advance. It is a nice situation as some of them are great on Royal Class.
  18. Okay, but I think more posts perhaps have suggested they need to reduce the demands from ON orders and RS orders. RS was expanded during pandemic sailing and I can see them looking to cut it back. Already, guests are reporting reduced menu choices. I am not so sure the demand on these services is going to go down that much. It could even increase as folks try to get their money worth out of an included item or one paid for.
  19. Can you make it simpler for the TA? Just identify the cabin you don't want. Advise the TA you want that booking moved from ABC to XYZ and since they are same cabin category, it is something can be done easily for no charge. The TA can make the change themselves in POLAR in about 1 minute if they know and use the System. Otherwise, it's an easy thing for them to do on the phone. You can then move guests around once on board and Guest Services can program the Medallions accordingly. Come to GS with all the Medallions and one adult from each affected cabin. The TA must be looking at the whole picture and thinking needs to cancel and rebook. You can change out names on a booking, but one origjnal must remain. Wait until on board.
  20. From the title, I was wondering if you had been hit by a new system bug. Hope all is well for you now and can soon look forward to a replacement voyage.
  21. I am wondering how many guests are still booking the lead-in GTY categories with Non-Ref deposits. If insufficient, how can Princess fill the cabins since they cannot place a guest in anything lower than they booked. I suppose a low OV can be placed in a BF and a BF in a DF and a DF in a ME if necessary. Or they could even move a BA to a DF and it's an upgrade to Princess. Anyway, it would be interesting to know if this experiment is working in their favor or not.
