  1. The ones in Canadian airports may as well have a gun and stick you up. I wouldn't buy currency in an airport. That said, it seems to me that some small foreign place we were once was okay at one location and I had read about it (a DR airport, perhaps??). Best idea is a local bank to exchange funds. It may have been in the DR, but I mainly used a bank in downtown Las Terrenas with the best rate.
  2. What sort of policy angle are you asking about? Pricing, consumption, packages, BYOB? There is information on Princess.com as to their alcohol policies. I can tell you a fair amount, but would rather direct a response to a more specific question. PS - Welcome to CC and the Princess forum.
  3. Normally, PCL uses this date as a "book by". However, I have seen FCC posted with both "book by" and "sail by" dates, so it depends.
  4. Sure, go right ahead. You might want to keep in tune with happenings as PCL may stop the W&G dress theme by the time you cruise.
  5. This group is amazing as I see multiple people trying to help another member who doesn't seem to want to, or know how to, help themselves.
  6. Since you got such a financial benefit, why not book two cabins? Such as an inside for the kids and some type of balcony for you?
  7. Actually, only works - and barely - if 2nd person in cabin doesn't buy any packages. CA is $32/day. Internet is $30/day. Single Plus standalone beverage is about $77/day. Total is $139. 2 x Plus cruise fare = $120. With internet 50% off, you have $32 + $15 + $77 = $124. Hmmm.. also exceeds 2x Plus. The only way standalone beverage makes any sense whatsoever is if the guests are passing on internet and only paying the CA. $32 + $77 = $109. Now person #2 has only $11/day to spend on whatever drinks to beat 2 Plus packages.
  8. Just to clarify, this post has to mean the beverages-only package and not the cruise fare package. Guest can also purchase the cruise fare packages on Day 1 for same cost as pre-cruise and use any OBC available to pay towards the cost.
  9. Generally, you can do this. If you see your steward, just let them know all you are doing is dropping off in the closet. Sometimes, it has been reported that deck doors are closed in the lobbies of each deck. But I think that is rare as B2B guests will have access to their cabins. Best to drop and take off if cabins are not available. If you do see your steward, they might mention when they think will be done (they will see you are an early boarder versus some of their other cabins).
  10. PCL does not have "websites". They have Princess.com. Are you referring to social media perhaps, or what other websites do you mean? Anyway, the QR code is not required.
  11. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/food-and-dining/beverages/
  12. I am not sure how this will fly. Guess it depends if no one is unduly held up, NBD. Otherwise, I imagine complaints will be forthcoming.
  13. Maybe he will sneak another one later when you aren't watching. 😉
  14. If you and hubby do want the Plus Cruise Fare package, speak with your (hopefully) experienced TA or a PCL rep and inquire about options such as excluding the 2-year old from being assigned the package. I would imagine that on board you could re-assign the package to hubby. Also, important to know you don't have to pre-order Plus package and can buy it on board on Day 1. You might get some flexibility from Guest Services given that you and hubby would both be buying it, excluding the toddler.
  15. Find Carmen's page on FB. Same idea as John Chernesky used to do and she is accompanied by the same woman (sorry, forget her name) who used to do the webinars with John.
  16. It is always the next day. Elites get a 1-day jump on all new voyage releases.
  17. IDK anything more than you do about what's coming. (Hope you were joking).
  18. Too many Martinis could land you at the Coroner's!!
  19. I would think so. No reason not to. That said, don't expect it much with ships selling out a lot these days. You are just paying for a better cabin and nothing else changes.
  20. And you didn't see any discussion threads on this forum about it? Asking because you do belong to CC obviously.
  21. Question of the Day: Is there an Americantown or Canadatown in Beijing?
  22. Since they have lemon slices and lemon wedges and use lemons in various cooking and baking, yes they have lemons on board. I would ask in the buffet area when you need one. Are you bringing a juicer - or perhaps they will do it for you once explained.
