  1. Not surprising at all. And I bet you are not alone. It's not good for PCL.
  2. Solution is simple now. Just go to Guest Services when you board and explain who in cabin XYZ is now moving to cabin ABC and they can update the system accordingly and alter the Medallion programming to open only the new correct door if you prefer.
  3. There is no cheat at all unless one is expecting an 8-day voyage or an 11-day voyage when booking 7 or 10.
  4. You are incorrect there. Although many folks talk about cruises in days, you are paying for 7 nights, 10 nights, 14 nights, etc. Some travel types might advertise it as a 8-day voyage since a guest is on the ship on 8 calendar days. With Princess you can almost make it 8 x 24 hrs if you can board at 11am and stay on until 9:30am on departure day. Think of any cruise booking in nights as that is what it really is. Same as a resort or hotel booking - you pay for each night - not each day.
  5. Do you find with all the Princess App frustrations and issues that you are recommending other lines to clients who aren't decided as to which line they want to go on for a particular itinerary?
  6. I had to look that one up. I had guessed correctly on two ingredients.
  7. The mini-bars are a RS responsibility, so pick up the phone and call them rather than asking cabin steward who has to do it. Much better for you to do it and that way the staff on other end of phone can let you know if something you are asking for is out of stock and you pick a substitute. ETA: Note that you can have anything you want for the 10 alcohol items, but only non-alcohol for the 10 non-alcohol items.
  8. Unless all you drink is Bud Light. (I am thinking the cruise lines could get a bulk order at a good discount these days).
  9. I wouldn't wait around for Princess to offer a discount off the Plus/Premier pricing. You can get a discount from some TA's, however.
  10. I was doing a "Ha Ha" response to the above and then the person whispering in my right ear said "Not supposed to throw anything overboard". So, then the person whispering in my left ear said "Okay, throw it in the trash".
  11. Yes, they could. There is a separate reservation booking field for agency group code. It is listed on the Travel Summary.
  12. It is $20 for a single day (1 device).
  13. With certainty, if PCL still offering the same Cruise Fare Code (3 alphanumerc) today that you booked under, then a re-fare is possible. If the current Fare Code has expired and the new price is therefore a new Fare Code, it seems some agents can finagle a re-fare, but I would expect a cancel/re-book. Also, it is possible to "lift and shift" some things to the new booking and not have a "do over". In the situation of a cancel, try and plan to have the time to go in and cancel reservations like excursions and such that you are going to lose anyway. When self-cancelled, this should trigger a refund back to form of payment. IOW, "clean up" your res file before the agent executes the cancel/re-book. Advice for all, but tagging @MsSoCalCruiser. Be aware in advance if you can re-book your air at similar cost or not. If not, have that discussion as to whether they can preserve the air. Have TA speak to someone at PCL because this can happen. Understand that you still have good acceptable flights to book and will any airfare increase cancel out out the cruise fare savings you are going after.
  14. CAN = USA market in terms of booking rules and related policies you might say.
  15. Sounds like there might have been a bit of organization confusion for a time there, but there has been no removal of an Elite benefit. Priority access to water shuttles is still done and well organized from my experience last Fall.
  16. DUPLICATE THREAD POST. Responses are in the first one.
  17. Crew Appreciation is $16/pp/day. MedallionNet is $15/pp/day. $31 accounted for. That leaves $29 for bar charges. Deduct the 18% bar gratuity and you are down to $24.50 in menu pricing for drinks. All you need now is to estimate what type and quantity of drinks you will order and consume per day (you van break it up for port days and at sea days if you wish). You need an approximate menu cost for those beverages and then add up and see if comes to $24.50/pp/day or more and your decision is made.
  18. 1. MedallionNet is unlimited and costs $15/day for a single device. $40/day for up to 4 devices. You can actually use as many different devices as you want, but can only connect one at a time or up to 4 on the other plan at a time. 2. If you are booked thru a TA, you must upgrade to PLUS with them. OR, you can wait until you board the ship and booked it there, charged to room account. If adding it with TA, ask them if they will give you a discount. Otherwise, I would just book it on board.
  19. Keep posting in your original post. No need to keep starting new threads.
  20. You said it much better and is what I have read before. Nice memory jog.
  21. Seemed to fit. Nice discount.
  22. Right, but we don't want to be giving PCL any ideas.
  23. The alternative is to leave the 3rd person where they are and switch the couples. (I realize the OP did not indicate if all cabins are the same category or if in proximity to one another).
