  1. I get my TA discount 365... no need to wait for a 3-day window from another organization.
  2. Not a Princess sale. Never has been. Always in summer. Used to mimic PCL 3-For-Free and Sip 'n' Sail.
  3. I find it interesting this sale is allowed to be discussed on here since the agency involved is very obvious and well-known and easy to derive if one had no clue and spent 10 seconds on Google.
  4. All MDR's on all ships offer the same menus at any meal they are open for. ETA: Reserve (a.k.a. Club) Class dining section in one of the DR's on each ship is likely to have an additional option or two, but you must be in a Reserve Mini or Suite to dine there.
  5. Some of the above is rather out of date. Canada has eliminate the paper document and declarations are done on terminals at the airport. The paper document was not used for land ports of entry. I am not sure if any airports would still be using the paper document any longer, but certainly not YVR. If a ship arrival at end of cruise still uses them, well, that's an exception case. IMO, I would delete ArriveCAN app from your smartphone. I did the minute it was no longer required. Don't want the government having access to anything they don't need.
  6. True, but many folks want to secure their dining res well before stepping onto the ship.
  7. We would need to have your itinerary details in order to let you know the formal nights. More significant is that you should not worry in the least about heading to the DR on a Formal Night in Smart Casual clothing. ETA: Your initial events listing will document all of the designated "special" nights (not all nights are called "Formal" anymore). Also, a Formal Night will never ever be the embarkation night nor the final night. Please reply with itinerary and many of us can tell you with 99% likelihood which nights it will be for you. (Just the ship and date will do as we can look it up on Princess.com).
  8. Sure. Just go into the night(s) you want to change the time and look for a new time. If you find something suitable, then confirm the new time and the old time will be replaced.
  9. You can arrange the TD and then just let them know if you have other plans and they will use "your" table to seat other guests for that timeslot.
  10. Of course not, but I can order online in advance and just pick up. It would be nice if they had a service right to the terminals at PE.
  11. We would have to look at the menu(s) in order to determine if any of those are sold that way. I have never analyzed WBTG pricing since that isn't the way to BYOW to the ship. As you know, many of the WBTG selections are also on the wine list. In fact, they all were until they started offering the "No Name" plonk for Plus package WBTG.
  12. All that does is send a request in that someone has to action between PCL and EZ-Air. It does not do a real-time ticketing process from the Cruise Personalizer flight booking pages.
  13. Get the point but Princess' high mark up on wine is not generally 5X retail. I pulled up my PCL wine spreadsheet from last year and ran a new column. Factored menu price divided by retail sticker price (usually TW). So, did not factor in gratuity nor sales tax. I think the last time I posted my wine analysis (bottle pricing only for BYOW comparisons), I stated the best values on the wine menu are generally the very high priced examples a their markups are only in the 10% - 20% range. Now if PCL pricing for WBTG of is much more than 5 glasses = 1 bottle, then of course, the factor increases if purchasing WBTG from PCL. IMO, if a guest is NOT doing Plus/Premier, it should make more sense to purchase bottles and not WBTG. Here are all the bottles with markup 4X or greater: Bin Wine Region St / Cntry Price w/Grat US Retail Sales Tax w/Corkage Savings 100 Attems Pinot Grigio Friuli IT 59 69.62 13.00 0.91 33.91 35.71 4.5 165 Dashwood Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough NZ 59 69.62 13.80 0.97 34.77 34.85 4.3 176 Saget La Perriere Petite Sauv Bl Loire Vly FR 45 53.10 11.00 0.77 31.77 21.33 4.1 225 Conundrum White California CA 63 74.34 13.00 0.91 33.91 40.43 4.8 325 Charles & Charles Rose Columbia Vly WA 47 55.46 11.00 0.77 31.77 23.69 4.3 540 Etude Lyric Pinot Noir Carneros CA 80 94.40 17.00 1.19 38.19 56.21 4.7 745 Los Vascos Dom Barons de Roth Colchagua Vly CH 46 54.28 10.50 0.74 31.24 23.04 4.4 765 Substance Cs Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Vly WA 59 69.62 13.00 0.91 33.91 35.71 4.5 770 Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauv Sonoma Vly CA 65 76.70 13.00 0.91 33.91 42.79 5
  14. @lx200gps, thanks for input. I might look at it again, but 25K level was always pretty useless to me. Yes, the SE days were nice and it seems you did more travel than I. I was often creative to get the SE each year, such as booking some cnxns. I would think 25K would hardly ever get eUpgrade after SE and E have first dibs. Anyway, better set this aside as into hijack mode now.
  15. No1-connection flights for your route? The airlines really get you when flying multiple segments as you end up paying more in seat fees than if a non-stop. I realize you are going to need at least one connection, but isn't there some flight offering that? (You didn't mention three flights on Delta, for example). Also, AC has seat selection fess for lowest economy classes. If you were booking on their website, you would end up with similar fees.
  16. I get that to Plus or not Plus is a personal thing based on your life habits, etc, when on a cruise. However, one doesn't need to be a teetotaler to justify no Plus. For example, we BYOW and have Elite mini-bar benefit, so there are quite enough drinks to suit and purchasing the odd bar drink still leaves us ahead of the game. Just wanted to point out that there are some non-teetotalers for whom the Plus math doesn't work. We often have a drink while ashore and of course that comes out of pocket. So, call us light drinkers and lump us in with the teetotaler crowd who don't need the Plus.
  17. Why not use the AirCanada.com website or Air Canada App? That will have the most up-to-date info. Those PDF's are kind of old school and have limited 3 month timeframes. I would say the extra flight is a summer route only and in winter, you have to connect at YYZ. I would say yes. There probably isn't a lot of demand between YUL and LAX to justify two non-stops.
  18. When I retired, I decided I wasn't interested in maintaining Aeroplan because I was never going to have FF Status like I had before which made sense to be loyal. Now, I prefer general travel point accumulation and am free to spend on any airline if AC doesn't suit. The last points basically went on Business seats between YYZ & SYD back in 2018 for a 2019 trip.
  19. IDK why EZ-Air would care how much guest pays for a flight. I might elect to book the most expensive flight offered on a particular route because maybe I prefer that airline or cannot stand the other. I wouldn't expect EZ-Air to intercede due to the price I booked at. They aren't the ones paying after all.
  20. My bet is that AC will not allow this. They are expecting customer to book an AC revenue ticket and then they allow the Buddy Pass to be used. I imagine the same issue exists if customer was booking via a third party travel site. AC website should have documentation on full T&C for the Buddy Pass usage.
  21. And they indicate can mess with your mind such as mixing up which one beats the other and changing to other items (e.g., thunder was mentioned).
  22. This is a joke. At www.xpass.fi, the XPASS App is documented as only available for Apple devices at their App Store. Why on Earth would Princess block out the majority of smartphone users (more people use Android phones than Apple phones)? SMH, JP.
