  1. Their internal system on the ship that hosts use has that info, so it ought to be possible to provide it to the App - at least when on board.
  2. Sure, but they cannot execute well on what they have now.
  3. Not for a PCL cruise anymore.... and I am thinking some others as well from posts I recall. If TD is important, you either pick a cruise line that offers it, or work within the constraints and opportunities that Princess offers. I don't see them going back to the old way at all, so I adapt and learn to live within it or I take business elsewhere.
  4. Yes. I have not seen this to be a problem. Parents Medallion can be programmed to open both rooms.
  5. Thanks for the additional insight and color to the situation. Sounds like another bad move by Princess without fully thinking it out.
  6. Although they have eliminated it as a DR-wide option, Princess continues to promise the TD experience and guests who desire same table and wait staff can get that by request and working with DR Mgmt. As for a shared table with the same group of strangers each night, well that is kind of out of Princess' control since the DMW system cannot possibly deliver on that and guests may not show up at the same time each night, etc. That said, if guest gets lucky at a shared table on night one and the group would all like to continue as such (save and except for those times when folks may go to SD venue), then ask DR Mgmt and they can probably do something. The additional dining options do make it such that various guests at a shared table can be off going to a SD, going to Chef Table, buffet, Alfredo's, etc. Used to be MDR and Buffet and that about it.
  7. Princess still promises the TD experience and many many guests have been successful in requesting and getting same table and waiters each evening. You have to request and work with DR mgmt and you should have success.
  8. Yes, GS will accommodate. I mentioned this in my first post. Yes, price is the same on board. I mentioned that as well. Princess announced this not too long ago. Your MedallionNet plan works because anyone you share credentials with can login and use it.
  9. Are we privy to facts that all of these tasks are removed from the position? I am not sure we read that much into @ldtr's post.
  10. I can beat that with 324 down and 29.7 up. Hah!!! 😉
  11. Forget all the previous stuff above. There is a simple solution available now that Princess allows purchase of the cruise fare packages upon embarkation. Saves on trip insurance cost and you can use any OBC to off-set the cost. You are perfectly fine to book one parent and one child in each of two cabins. Once you get on board, visit guest services and make the swap you desire (age is not a factor). At the same time, add on the Plus or Premier Fare package for the same price as you would pay pre-cruise and there is no issue since now you and spouse are aligned in the same cabin. If you so choose you can leave the teens with no package or there is a non-alcoholic drink package (not a cruise fare package) that you could consider adding on. Subtract out the Crew Appreciation cost and see if the difference make sense. I would also upgrade one parent's MedallionNet included in the Plus package from 1-device to 4-devices and no need to purchase separate MedallionNet packages for the teens.
  12. Well that video was informative - not. Without further information, the man could have had a medical incident and died from that subsequently and the incident could have caused him to fall into the water.
  13. I should have said "we" as "we" don't even finish a full bottle at dinner, let alone two. Ha, ha.
  14. Everything Princess sells from the cabin and voyage to the shops on board is priced to make a profit.
  15. Neither can I, but I can equally not imagine downing 2 in one meal!!
  16. But you can decide when to purchase the USD and supplement your stash based on USD-CAD rate which has been fluctuating a lot in recent times and went big in favor or CAD towards end of last week (not that I was buying mind you).
  17. Yes. Other choices on the beer menu are possible. I was surprised last Fall that I got some Grolsch when I asked. At the very least, you can select other beers at same or similar price point.
  18. Piece of cake. Search cruises on Princess.com. Select Asia and Diamond and all months showing in 2024 that match Asia and Diamond. This tells me your 29-night voyage is the one departing Tokyo on Sep 4. There are three other voyage lengths offered, all departing Tokyo on Sep 4: 20, 22, & 24 nights. Presumably at some point they were selling shorter voyages after 20 & 22 nights that could be cobbled together to make 29 nights.
  19. You are definitely hitting the pain receptors with the proposed pricing.
  20. IDK why the new old position person wouldn't appear at the CC Loyalty reception, the formal night champagne shin-dig in the Piazza, etc. Why wouldn't they still organize the invites to the MTP Luncheon? Aside from that and after reviewing all of the discussion, I can understand an increased focus on on-board sales. Huzzah from a Shareholder perspective to take advantage of a captive audience that is presumably having a good time. That said, the Loyalty Host did serve a purpose, so seems odd to hide them away in the GS back-office.
  21. That second one is way short. We have yet to not receive our full entitlement, including the custom requests.
  22. Just start coughing when the doors are about to open.
