  1. Go to your manage online account and add the cruise info and booking number yourself.
  2. Our private tour operator gave us some amazing history on the explosion....something we had never really heard about...very interesting bit of history.
  3. What did you opt for (considering Hampton Blue Lagoon) and what will you do for transportation after your cruise? We'll be traveling with 4 adults and 4 kids next May. We've done this for a PE cruise but POM is kinda new for us for hotels/transportation. We prefer a private booked shuttle not Uber for our group.
  4. Not that RCI has ever done it but I would like a small area of the WJ open into the late evenings like Celebrity does. Better desserts....I don't care what they look like I want them to taste like homemade !!! Miss the Wonka Pie !!!!
  5. Years ago we used to purchase the AT&T cruise option. Now we just use Voom Surf/Stream We put our iPhones on wifi calling and can call/text our family members as needed, and check emails. We also bring our firestick to watch Nextflix, Amazon Plus etc. etc. If we're spending time pre or post cruise (out of the country) we use the AT&T international calling then it's for each 24 hour period of time when used.
  6. You can't really compare hotel to cruise to flights. $675 for "three" nights at this hotel...isn't bad. But I would check pricing as a member rates vs the 3rd party booking the OP is using.
  7. I'm sure it wasn't you. For us it was a very old gentleman...I wanted so much to wave and get his attention so he could close the curtains.
  8. And from the promenade. We had quite the show once when setting at Sorrento's 😬
  9. No...not necessary. We sailed on Serenade last September for Alaska and Panama Canal in October....Enjoy.
  10. Our private tour with Halifax Titanic Historical Tours with Paul McNeil took us to an old lighthouse just a bit of a hike to get to it. It certainly wasn't the tourist trap of Peggy's Cove.
  11. Sounds like the price doubled since we did this option last September. As mentioned above it's not a HOHO. Our shuttle driver was just wonderful and was a local that had so much history/info and she drove to each of the two sites. She waited for us at each stop and gave us a time to meet in each parking lot. At each venue there was a senior and a child discount available. Approx 20 people on our particular bus.
  12. The grandkids are 8 & 11. Both daughter and son-in-law can't make it to this cruise and so the reason we're taking the kids with us and the rest of the family. Yes...I have printed the RCI form for both of them and will get it notarized when we visit them in October after our NE/Canada cruise. Thanks so much.
  13. We did the Panama Canal RCI itinerary (full transit) last October and we also did Cartagena on our own. Took a taxi from the port (which we loved with all the bird/animal exhibits) to the walled city and back. No concerns at all about feeling safe. In Costa Rica we did an amazing tour with "Thumbs Up Tours" with our roll call. This was just amazing.
  14. We're taking extended family on a May 2024 cruise out of MIA. Most all of us will be flying from LAX-MIA via ATL on DL. Looking at a long connection time in ATL (21/2- 3hrs). Daughter (not going with us) will meet us at ATL so we can take the two grandkids (under 12) with us. Question is will I have any trouble booking their air since on their roundtrip it'll be just two kids?
  15. Most all have a port shuttle. We usually stay at Hyatt Place but opt for a taxi instead of their shuttle.
  16. At times it's been designated for Pinnacles...no more smoking in there.
  17. This seems to vary so you never know. One of mine was 90 days out.
  18. Definitely either one of the 11 nights on Explorer that doesn't include Coco Cay. We're on the March 30th itinerary on Explorer. Booked this one when it opened and got a great price. Amazing itinerary.
  19. Don't be too concerned about being under a public area on Jewel. We've sailed recently on her and Serenade in OS's and no problems with noise.
  20. No reservations needed for ice show. Black Friday we have found the better sales for cruise planner items.
  21. It was noted each time in the Cruise Compass and our concierge's have also made a point to let his guests know details of each port stop that might be helpful. We've also seen that some people only seemed to find out as they exited the ship. So always a good idea to check. The most recent time this has happened was our September cruise to Alaska when RCI docked very far out in Juneau. First time this has happened to us at this particular port.
  22. Try Costco in your home town if you're a member. They have some great "real" vanilla.
  23. I've found that many times the type of shuttle (I was referring to above) offered by RCI isn't advertised and have only found out about them once onboard. This has certainly been the case with our last port stop in Boston as well as several other ports when RCI is docked either in an industrial area or far from the city center.
  24. There certainly was a provider offering this last September. Had a large sign as we exited the shuttle from the ship into town and several bus's offering this tour option to Fortress of the Bear and Raptor Center. Sorry it wasn't an option for you. Many posters on CC gave this recommendation before we cruised to Sitka and so I knew to look for them.
