What is the date of your cruise that was moved to Rotterdam and when did they notify you of this, before or after final payment date? Had you booked flights/hotel etc and how was it handled?
Hopefully just because other cruiseline's have moved I'm still hopeful RCI will not change the last two cruises in July 2024 to sail from Amsterdam as this is as far out as the schedule goes.
I'm not too worried about the 2024 season as things aren't going to move that quick.
I've booked my pre-cruise hotel and will look at flights soon.
It was a mess at Scheiphol last year for our arrival July 2022 but our flight from there was absolutely easy. We made a 2:30pm flight and was so sorry we hadn't booked it earlier.
I won't hesitate to book a noon flight.
We booked with Costco and used Budget which we picked up our 2nd pre-cruise day. Since there were no ships in it couldn't have been quicker and easier. We returned the car morning of cruise after DH had dropped our extended family and luggage off at the port and he used their shuttle back to us and was gone no more than 25 min total...Worked well for us.
Possibly a new terminal in Sloterdijk...But I have read a great post by Dutch_Travelgirl and she gave some very helpful info. Seems like this move will take several years.
Well I'll certainly be watching this as we sail out of Amsterdam July 2024. Loved sailing from this port (2022) which had the best terminal staff we've encountered.
This is kinda what we did. Since there were 6 of us we had Cruise Control pick up at MCO then drop off at Home2Suites. Rented a car thru Costco from Budget to use our 2nd pre-cruise day to get to KSC. DH dropped us off at the port terminal and all our luggage day of cruise. He then took the car back to Budget and got a shuttle back to port. He was gone no more than about 25 min. Cruise Control picked us up cruise end day and back to MCO. This worked out so extremely easy for our 4 adults and two kids.
Loved Home2Suites !!
Personally if we're not doing a round trip Vancouver the North Bound is our favorite. Would rather sail "to" Alaska than away from it and the scenery just seems to get better as we sail.
Enjoy whatever works best for you.
If anyone is just wanting a cruiseline transfer from port to airport this will be offered onboard, especially mid to late cruise end so no need to book it prior.
We've sailed often on Navigator in OS's (my favorite) I certainly wouldn't give up my preferred OS cabin number for the RS as I don't really care for it.
Not unusual for RCI to make this offer as those above have shared.
The ship docking a day before, you should have no trouble getting to SJU from I assume your hotel. Have them call a taxi for you and be at the airport early as you must go through the additional agriculture check before checking in at your carrier.
We'll be staying at Hampton Inn & Suites this October but will opt for Uber instead. Last time we were there the shuttle times didn't work for us...so always something to consider.
To get some exact information on what you need specifically speak to a professional.
Call the Trip Insurance Store and speak to Steve who is often a contributor here on CC or one of his associates. We as well as many others here have used him for many trips.

"Lost Freedom" I don't get it !!!
If someone mispronounces your name just nicely correct them.
My husbands name is Robert even though he goes by Bob and he could care less if he's called Mr. Robert by staff onboard.
