  1. The RCI Freedom class had an open play area. I remember when the grandkids were toddlers we took them there...open hours....but that may have changed and be ship specific.
  2. Book your own air directly with the carrier. Cruiseline air isn't always a good idea.
  3. Agree with the above. We did the musher camp (Juneau) last September and it did sell out quickly. I kept watching and then it opened again. I booked and then it sold out again. I also contacted Gold Rush Dog Tours and that one also sold out quick. I was on a waiting list but it never happened and so glad that we finally got on the ship excursion one. Keep watching !!!
  4. You should have no trouble booking the noon flight. More than likely you'll be able to disembark as early as approx 8 am. Our last four cruises into Vancouver and we've never had trouble making our noon flight.
  5. Not exactly. I received my email from RCI it ends up being $21.78 pp. Our stop in Coco Cay onboard Icon for May 18th.
  6. Thank you so much...hoping this doesn't become necessary but we'll see.
  7. The link I posted above at the very bottom of the form it clearly has an area to be used by the Notary. This is nothing new.
  8. Yes, they have always had a passport. However, as long as you have "all" the needed documentation including their "birth certificate" you should have no trouble with a closed loop itinerary. Enjoy...cruising with grandchildren = memories !!!
  9. Luckily Nassau isn't one of our port stops...not a favorite.
  10. I book our extended family often...not hard to do this at all. But I have had a lot of practice. I do my research and then call RCI directly with the cabins/category I want. We usually have 3-4 cabins when we take our group.
  11. Yes...back to Banks Mansion. We also just love that hotel and location. I've been watching for dates to open and they did the other day. Price isn't that bad compared to our last stay...well worth it to us. They sent a nice email welcoming us back.
  12. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/minor-traveling-without-parent-or-guardian-form.pdf This is the form that RCI and we have always used when we've cruised with grandchildren. Nothing new about this or the policy.
  13. $21.78 pp to be exact....oh well. I knew taking the whole extended family on Icon was gonna be $$'s !!
  14. Just got our notice. Ours went up $21.78 pp for our May 2024 Icon stop at Coco Cay.
  15. I do remember the change but we also were already in Amsterdam... Also were we supposed to dock the night before disembarkment I thought that was a change also to our original itinerary and why I booked our flights at 2:00pm. I believe they said it was because of the tide? We were happy to stay onboard that last night but saw several people leaving.
  16. Those that embark from Amsterdam certainly stay longer that a few hours and spend a good deal on hotels, restaurants etc.
  17. Care to share the company you'll be using and the price point?
  18. Sorry...I always forget about the World Cruise. Amsterdam was also simple for us last July 2022. I was hoping it would be the same for 2024. Best of luck.
  19. Wonder when RCI will start notifying of any change? We sailed out of Amsterdam July 2022 (Arctic Circle) and loved sailing from there. We also will still fly into Amsterdam...I just booked our pre-cruise hotel and next up will be flights. Something to consider now will be transportation and where we fly home from. Oh this was going to be so easy...now ??
  20. So our stop at Coco Cay (Icon) May 2024 is going to be an additional $30 pp x's 6 of us? Oh my !!!
  21. I was just asking/agreeing about the charge being retroactive...but thanks...got the answer.
  22. Such helpful info...thanks to all of you.
  23. I was hoping for an answer about you handled it.
