  1. Definitely option #1. Summit has been refurbished it's like a new ship inside and the cabins are beautiful. That time in May has always been our favorite and have never missed Hubbard glacier. Northbound is also much preferred. I would rather sail north to Alaska than south away from it. The itinerary for the Summit is perfect.
  2. Try Hyatt Place just off 17th Street and behind Embassy Suites (avoid very dated). Great location right next to the Harbor Shopping center. It has a Publix Mkt. shops and restaurants. The hotel offers a shuttle from FLL to their hotel for $5.00 per room reservation. They have a shuttle to the port ($) but cheaper to use Uber or Taxi. For pricing try booking as a member or ValueTrips.
  3. In addition to the above you can order off the MDR menu for room service. We love to order breakfast some days and also dessert in the evening just before they close.
  4. There's a Doubletree on Frontage Road in Newark NJ if you're cruising out of Cape Liberty.
  5. Try The Trip Insurance Store...Steve is a contributor here on CC often. He and his staff are just amazing finding you the perfect policy for your specific needs. 888 407-3854
  6. Agree...Way over rated and over priced. I for one liked the old location better.
  7. I believe they cannot be used between brands. I had an FCC with X and could not use it towards RCI cruise.
  8. No I didn't. Just turned them on but not sure where to look...help !! Maybe I just did ???
  9. Perhaps those seats showing an "X" are being held back for crew if needed when there's only one or two at the front ???
  10. We won't be sailing until October...so would love to hear your feedback. Hopefully this will all be under control before we sail.
  11. We enjoyed the Home2Suites..very nice newish hotel. Nice pool, rooms with kitchenette and a great breakfast.
  12. My main point was the suite categories...layout vs the other fleet design.
  13. Here in the US RCI will not discuss your booking if you are using a TA. Perhaps it's different for you in GB.
  14. I booked two of these S/S Family Suites (side by side) when the booking opened for a May 2024 family cruise. I'm not too impressed with the suites option/pricing on this ship. We'll see how it goes come May but if we weren't sailing with our adult kids and 4 grandkids I wouldn't have booked this cabin/ship. We love the GS and 2 bedroom GS on the Oasis class...a much better layout and option for us when they cruise with us.
  15. Looks like you got some great answers. Remember if you have any problem ask your cabin steward and if they can't help they'll call an onboard electrician. These days this is a common situation and the onboard staff is very helpful.
  16. No, these (Conair 1875) aren't at least the ones we've had recently weren't. They have three settings off, high and low...no holding the button down.
  17. Very disappointed with these itineraries. I was hoping for something from Singapore to Shanghai or the reverse. We've done this amazing itinerary that included Viet Nam etc before. These are Japan itineraries which we're not interested in. Is this it for China or will other itineraries be released?
  18. For us it's always been TravelPro Max lite 29". Our's have traveled the world with us many times and continue to.
  19. This is one of the reasons to book directly and own your booking...JMHO.
  20. We did an amazing roundtrip Western Med/Greece from Barcelona during the month of May. Great pre-cruise nights and a wonderful itinerary.
  21. It's always a mystery. Glad you're working out what works best for you. I got a great rate for my outbound flight (Feb 2024) from LAX-MIA several months ago. Now I need to book my return flight for March. I didn't book a roundtrip then because I was considering adding a Celebrity cruise onto my RCI cruise which I did.
  22. Thanks...I just wanted to mention this for the OP to consider the policy as it may apply.
  23. RCI has a list in your online account with all past cruises.
  24. Op if you have any problems connecting then either your steward will help or they'll call an onboard electrician. We've sailed on several RCI ships recently and had no problems being able to watch our Amazon Prime, Netflix etc etc. We take our HDMI cable, universal remote and our Amazon Firestick with us always so we'll be well prepared with whatever we'll need.
