Many thanks to all that helped. I opted for #8185.
I'll be getting off an 8 night RCI cruise and will board Summit the next day. Looking forward to this newly revitalized Celebrity ship. Only my 2nd cruise with X which was on Eclipse.
Thanks...From the video's I've seen of the aft wake on Summit there seems to be a canopy over the top of each balcony and you're not looking down directly at the cabin balcony below and deck #9 isn't looking down on your deck #8.... Yes or No?
Thanks...but what I'm specifically asking is when you enter the cabin (#9165) is the bed on the left handside. I know the beds are by the bath so not my question.
Looking at cabin #9165, 67, 69, 30 and 32. Can someone tell me if the bed when entering is on the left or right side?
Also considering cabin # 8185. Love afts but I heard theirs a band that plays and it can be heard in the cabin...how late is there noise coming from this onboard venue and would you choose this cabin?
Thanks from a long time RCI cruiser who is pretty new to Celebrity.
Where did you purchase these? We'll just stay near port this next trip in October. We've always done a tour but opted not to this time. I did not see these last trip as our tour took up our whole visit.
We easily flew home the day we disembarked. We did self assist about 7:00 -7:30am. Taxi's were lined up and we were at the airport in plenty of time for our 1:00pm flight (DL). Our arrival pre-cruise was a night mare but our experience home was so much better.
I'll note that our ship actually returned the night prior to our scheduled day due to the tides...many got off then but because our flight was originally booked for day of we enjoyed the early arrival into Amsterdam. That could easily happen to you too as we sailed late July last year....so you never know. I would keep your flight.
My one complaint about the GS on the Radiance class is how far the TV is from the bed. Hate that it's in the corner by the couch...not great viewing from there either. We usually sail in OS on this class. And ... yes... we do watch movies at night on our firestick. We're no longer fans of night activities onboard usually.
You will get a notice in your cabin about how you'll be disembarking. However just don't leave your luggage out...and note the time self assist will start from your cruise. I'm not sure that anyone really cares or makes note of it. Luggage tags may or may not be left in your cabin so just disregard them.
So looking forward again to our Canada/NE cruise this October...I have a Holy Donuts coffee mug in my kitchen I look at everyday.
We too are lobster roll fans and have actually had a pretty good one (in addition to the above) at Quincey Market too.
The problem when in a public space is the loud chatter and I'm sure not going to say "Shh" in todays world that can be a problem 😬
And as far as some of those that suggest the TV, turning it on and getting the right channel you can easily miss most of the announcement.
Yes...Liberty doing the Canada/NE route and looking forward to it this October. We've also done it on Anthem.
We sail for the itinerary not the RCI ship. Loved our Arctic Circle on Jewel 2022 and Panama Canal 2022 on Serenade. We'll be doing the British Isles July 2024 on Jewel.
We did it in September 2022 and it was raining...no problem it just added to the excitement of this tour. They of course have very big warm weather proof jackets they offer you. Go and enjoy !!!
