We just did a full transit from Los Angeles - Tampa this past October and wouldn't hesitate to book a true aft although we did love our OS on the RCI Serenade.

I've done LAX-YQB and it worked out great. Right now I'm watching the same route for December to go to the Christmas Market.

Recently sailed out/in at this port. I would say you have a good chance that they will take your luggage if not the poster above gave you some great info. I must say that this terminal is one of the best we've used (and we've used many). They are so friendly and well organized. A staff member actually came out to our taxi and loaded our two very large bags onto a cart wheeled them in and then tagged them and put them onto the conveyer belt. and then walked us to the checkin line. At one point I thought he was going to walk us onboard !!! First class service at it's best !!!

We've booked the Hampton Inn Suites in Elizabeth NJ for our pre-cruise this upcoming October 5th sail date. We've done this before and a taxi worked easy for us.

We've used South Florida Shuttles. They provided the car seats we needed. Great service from this company.

Going Feb 22, 2024 for one night pre-cruise out of POM. just the 2 of us. I went ahead and booked Hampton Inn Brickell and think I may have enough points after my upcoming 2 night pre-cruise in October 2023 out of Cape Liberty staying at the Hampton Inn in Elizabeth NJ. So we'll see and will certainly keep our options open. Thanks so much all, and sorry if I may have hijacked the OP's thread a bit.

RCI...those windows never open. Depending on the ship/deck some will have a round port hole type others have a rectangle window.

Good to know. We had a Waterpark Cabana last year (April) but there were only 6 of us. Next year (May) we'll be a group of 8. Now if the pricing would be comparable 🤪

Yes...you can, but have you considered using a private shuttle instead? There are a few we opted for Cruise Control.

We're on her Feb 14th. and got in on the crazy price point when the bookings opened.

Look at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Elizabeth NJ...right by the large Mall that should have anything you might need.

Perhaps it's chartered. We were on in January 2022 and January 2023 and will be on again in February 2025. Waited a long time for RCI to return to our coast and love the Navigator.

The port at Cartagena has one of the best bird/animal exhibits we've seen. We enjoyed spending time there and then took a taxi to the walled city. This is so easy to do on your own. Then when you're ready to return to the port take a taxi back. Cabo, PV and Mazatlan so easy to also do on your own. Be careful in Acapulco though.

Watch out for traffic on that road out to the Fortress of the Bear. Hope you enjoy what ever works best for you.

Good idea...Every time we're there always other ships at the same time. Do what ever works best for you and enjoy !!!

We always get to the tour early and line up for the best seats (we like middle 2nd row) and the line up starts early for the 9:15 tour. You'll have plenty of time to see the town when you return. Check that BQ will be open the day you're in port. We have also usually booked directly but this past September it was cheaper via cruiseline booking. It doesn't matter who you book with. Enjoy !!!!

Agree...OP if you're a Costco member check out pricing on their website for your rental.

Agree..Black Friday/Cyber Monday which the OP has missed. I usually purchase anything that pertains to my sailings during this time....so far in advance.
