  1. We have done Alaska with our extended family (6&10 year old's) on RCI a few times (as recently as this past September) and we all enjoyed the Serenade roundtrip out of Vancouver. Next time I think we'll do the larger RCI ship out of Seattle just for a change.
  2. I continue to hope RCI will again someday have one of our favorite itineraries Singapore-Shanghai.
  3. Any idea when we'll know about Amsterdam to Barcelona on Jewel. We end our British Isles on Jewel on the 29th. And would love to continue on to Barcelona.
  4. The Sawgrass Mill Mall is absolutely worth it instead if you can get there. Absolutely huge and we loved it. We had a car rental but it seemed like there were shuttles to get there also...not exactly sure how but hopefully someone will post the info for you.
  5. Solarium Bistro on deck #15....Mini Bites. Yes JR's for breakfast. Dog House, Sorrento's & Cafe Promenade.
  6. I find it easier to use a taxi and only a metered one from PE to FLL.
  7. I'm a bit (very) confused with all this. If I use Uber where exactly do I meet them after exiting the ship ?
  8. I'll just say...you won't be sorry sticking with the Bering Sea in Ketchikan. We've done it a few times as recently early this past September.
  9. We're booked for July 18, 2024 with RCI their British Isles itinerary. Any possibility you can cruise then?
  10. Go up the elevator through the Pan Pacific hotel ... much easier to catch a taxi there.
  11. We've been on Harmony twice as soon as last April and we ate all our meals in the WJ. One of our favorites. Lot's of seating. We especially liked sitting towards the aft with a view and Harmony has serving stations that are spread out nicely.
  12. For sure Harmony has the Lucky Climber....Our grandkids used it again last April.
  13. We've gotten it from room service (suites...so no fee) and also for a fee on some of our Alaska cruises...they would go around and sell it with a souvenir mug out on deck when we were at the glaciers. You can also get it at the onboard Starbucks. As far as whipped cream and chocolate sauce in the WJ...for us that has varied...sometimes it's available and sometimes not. Our Panama Canal cruise on Serenade this past October they were out of chocolate syrup in the WJ the whole cruise.
  14. Sorry nothing specific...there was one street area that was just lined up on both sides with so many options with outdoor seating and posted menu's. We just chose at random.
  15. Ine...gave you some great information above. We paid a bit more for our taxi (from the taxi stand) due to some road construction shut down during our time frame there from AMS to the Banks Mansion. Lot's of great restaurant options near by walking distance. Enjoy this hotel and all their amenities...especially the wonderful breakfast.
  16. Not a fan of those dark chocolate powder mixes. We've gotten the real stuff onboard at times.
  17. I believe we did this....and it was great. However our price was lower. 10% off...I would wait for a better sale. Not sure when you're sailing but if possible check out a black Friday sale.
  18. Last time we port stopped there our cruiseline offered a shuttle from port to near the Quincey Market...roundtrip.. Hoping they offer it again as we'll be there in early October.
  19. The Gold Rush Dog Tours sell out quickly. I tried and tried to book very early for our cruise last September and ended up having to book the Musher Camp with RCI instead.
  20. I feel the exact opposite...Aft not necessary for Caribbean and aft wonderful for Alaska.
  21. Your cruiseline will offer transfers for a price. We find it easier and less expensive to take a taxi when there are just the two of us. When we have the extended family with us we use a private shuttle pre-booked option.
  22. Going to the Christmas Market in Quebec City this December for four nights and will get some small amounts of CAD from my bank...no fees for me. I always prefer to have some local $$'s.
  23. Thanks....Appreciate hearing that.
