Carnival Shore Excursions Phone Support
shof515 replied to groundloop's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
i have been on excursions that said 2 hours in the description when in reality it took about 3 hours due to the tour operator taking their time with everyone like slightly longer photo stops -
very high heavy winds can have enough force to break off the ship mooring ropes. a very dangerous situation that can cause damage to the ship. With more then one mooring ropes snapping off, the ship could drift away and this could cause additional problem. Doing any fine tune navigation work like steering the ship can be a impossible task with high winds with the upmost regard to safety for ship, passengers, crews, port officials, etc the best option seems to high to open waters and go far away from the storm as possible

Cruising from Charleston SC, No longer after 2024
shof515 replied to a topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
what hurt carnival winter sailings out of New York is the itinerary. Carnival did the boring Florida-Bahamas run that stopped at Port Canaveral , Freeport and Nassau . Carnival needs to do their usually 8 day Caribbean sailings out out of New York more often. When Royal and NCL cruise out of NYC during the winter months this is the type of sailings they do. Winter months is the perfect time to do the longer 10-14 day cruises In 2019 the Carnival Sunrise did a 10 day cruise out of NYC with this itinerary: San Juan, Tortola, St. Maarten, and St Thomas. Similar in 2016 the Carnival Vista did this 11 day cruise out of NYC: San Juan, St Thomas, Antigua and St Maarten. I would love, love, LOVE if Carnival did this itinerary again out of NYC. Carnival seasonal itinerary of San Juan, St Thomas, Grand Turk and Amber Cove, Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk is getting kind of stale now -
you will need to print it out and bring it with you. onboard the ship you can use the sail n sign kiosk to add the gift card to your onboard. Guest services can do this too You could use them now for things like shore excursions, specially dinning, spa treatments, etc

Adventure of the Sea's- March 26th, 2022
shof515 replied to Cruise a holic's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I too was on the May 26 sailing on the Adventure. Tender ticket was horrible, they needs to be a better system and i too felt that entertainment was lacking on this cruise. i dont like comedy and it sucks the production show got postpone causing cant stop the rock to be fully canceled due to scheduling issues. Movies belong in a different lounge or by the pool, not in the theater and should not be a headline show for nightly entertainment another disappointment for me was the lines getting into the MDR. even with MTD reservations they was always a slow moving line that took forever -
Check in should be the usually time. If this is the Canada cruise that goes to Newport then the sailing distance is short from NYC which is why the ship leaves late

Do ships routinely dock backwards?
shof515 replied to FloridaGram's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Cape Liberty seems to be the only port where ships always back in all the time -
looks similar to the carnival triumph fire back in the day

Cruising from Charleston SC, No longer after 2024
shof515 replied to a topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Carnival tried year round sailings out of NYC in 2013-2014 with the Carnival Splendor. I guess it never worked out for Carnival which why they stopped doing it I would love more options sailing out of NYC with Carnival. I kind of hate that Carnival is only seasonal with sailing out of NYC for only 3-4 months -
Semi-Live Norwegian Joy to Bermuda - Norfolk, VA - May 8, 2022
shof515 replied to mking8288's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Express walk off still need to take those escalators , they do permit luggage on the escalators. There is only 3 options to get to the lower level and that is stairs, elevator or the escalator . They do have someone on top of the escalator to try help people get the luggage on the escalator -

Those escalator do suck and I wish they was a better way. It is a big bottleneck getting off the ship and is the area I see with the most crowds -
I noticed a similar problem. Whenever i booked any cruise directly from their website my address shows up as unknown Miami or something like that yet my carnival account shows my correct address

when i was on the breakaway last year it was just open space

this is normal, ships is always empty with no passengers when repositioning from Florida and New York
