  1. A bigger issue I think is can the port handle an icon class ship? As is with 3 ships sailing, parking can be rough with overflow lots and lack of garage parking Traffic is another big issue with getting to the port. It took me about 45 minutes of sitting in traffic on the the one and only one road to the terminal
  2. for which month? i see January, February, March and December 2024 on the website. ship is breakaway
  3. should be arriving close to schedule like around the usually 6-7am
  4. yes it is normal. if there is any last minute cancellations that opens a cabin, that cabin can be used for royalup
  5. supply and demand, the greater the demand the higher the prices go up
  6. i am sailing on sunday. i hope this is not the case. i was really looking forward towards this
  7. traditional dinning does not require the app for dinner breakfast you can use the app to make a reservation or you can show up to be seated. breakfast is never crowded and a reservation is usually not needed
  8. and also a disembarkation port for the return transatlantic from Europe and then a embarkation port for the reposition cruise for the ship that need to return to Florida and elsewhere i would love to see Norwegian return back to running 2 full time ships out of NYC like what it used to do. With Royal and now MSC doing the weekly Florida/Bahamas runs, that is a market that Norwegian is missing out i think. Yes those itinerary is dull and boring but Norwegian has ship that can complete with the Oasis and soon to be Symphony of the Seas that is coming next year
  9. Cooc Cay is being expanded with a beach opening later this year
  10. correct you dont need to print out the whole cruise doc. i print out the seapass check in document due to my phone having scanning issues when they try to scan the barcode from my phone
  11. Norwegian went up too, they are now about 20 dollars and they too have one day housekeeping and so far they are the only cruise line with the higher pricing
  12. the crew still needs to be paid and the gratuity you pay helps pay for the crew. if royal needs to pay more for a crew, royal will pass that extra cost to you
  13. Its about 129 USD dollars, cheaper then Royal that charges about 150-175
  14. its another word for the section that you use to purchase things like shore excursions , spas, specially dinning, wifi packages, etc, etc. Carnival calls the Cruise Manager, another cruise line calls it the cruise planner and another cruise line calls it something different but all work the same way
  15. It goes to more areas like the theater, provisioning area, bridge and a few more
  16. The Behind The Scenes Tour can now be booked online before the cruise. It can be found under Onboard Entertainment and Activities page. For my future cruises, the cost of the tour is 129 dollars. the tour is on the last sea day with 2 time slots. Latitude and shore excursion credit does not apply
  17. check your cell phone carrier coverage map. not all carriers have good coverage in Alaska causing cell service to be spotty
  18. it can be normal for a brand new ship, and/or brand new first in the class to do a few travel agent/invited guest sailings before the first official inaugural cruise that is open to the general public
  19. a few days, usually around 3-5 business days it go back to the credit card
  20. yes. it did a short cruise from LA to Vancouver
