  1. The encore was supposed to do sailings out of NYC in 2020. That never happened and the ship never visited NYC. Hopefully one day it will
  2. Brooklyn is the only cruise terminal with shore power and princess is the only cruise line that uses it. MSC ship does have shore power but there is compatibility issues with the ship and the shore power connection
  3. Yes. The new name is the pour house and the seating area is the same when it is open and used for other events
  4. All carnival ships dock at Puerta Maya
  5. Breakaway is not listed for my sailing in the middle of October
  6. It is very easy to open tsa locks, all you need is a pen or similar object. Google and YouTube can show you how ineffective these locks are
  7. I have done before with no issues with a similar time gap between tours
  8. Milkshake is my favorite drink. I get at least one every day
  9. They are signs at the water dispenser that says to use a fresh clean cup to fill your bottle . That's the rule on all ships that people ignore
  10. I am on the Breakaway in the middle of October. Bar Harbor ship schedule here https://maine.portcall.com/#!?tab=2&port=Bar Harbor does not show the breakaway in port on October 16 or 23. Breakaway is suppose to be there every Wednesday in October Another oddity is breakaway is listed as port a call in Boston in the middle of October: https://www.massport.com/flynn-cruiseport/cruise-directory/cruise-schedule something is up with Breakaway Canada/New England itinerary with a bar harbor cancellation .i wonder how long it will take Norwegian to send me a a notice me about itinerary changes
  11. i am on the breakaway in October. i was confused when Maine released their ship schedule and the breakaway was not listed to visit bar harbor on the day norwegian says boston looks like an alternative port or it will be a sea day
  12. yes. the meetup is in the freestyle daily at a bar or lounge somewhere on the ship
  13. a passport is one of those things where you rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it
  14. i have cruise out of Cape Liberty in Bayonne. the only thing i hate about that terminal is about a mile away from the main road/light rail station and it is similar to the NY terminals with only one entrance to the terminal/parking lot area Last year i got stuck in traffic on that one and only one road leading into the terminal. I could see the ship in the distance and it took like 45 minutes to finally get to the terminal. sooo much traffic
  15. i would love if RCCL can update MTD so it works like carnival where you can request the table using the app and then go to the dinning room when the table is ready. the current MTD process on royal ships ive been on is a massive mess with long lines and long waits.
  16. this is the age to travel: Guests are required to be 21 years of age (on embarkation day) to travel on their own. Guest ages will be verified at embarkation. Guests not conforming to this policy will result in denied boarding and no compensation will be provided at embarkation. For additional minor age restriction guidelines while on board, click here. Guests Under the Age of 21 MUST travel with a relative or guardian of 25 years of age or older
  17. the best part of coco cay is the dock, sooo much better walking off the ship onto a pier. Tendering at HMC and other tender ports sucks
  18. you don't make a reservation for 1. book everything as size 2. this is normal restaurants only have seating for 2, 4, 6 and so on.
  19. the only thing i hate about studio cabin is the toilet is in the narrow room. depending on your size it can be a tight fit
  20. Beef jerky is an animal product and a snack. How strict are they with it?
  21. could be a clerical error that they forget to include the page in the report. carnival corporation website still shows the shareholder benefits
  22. i am sailing on the breakaway in October 2024, 2 ports have 0 excursions and the other ports only have about 5 right now slowly over time more get added
  23. flying is getting expensive. The average price i pay for airfare to Florida for a one way flight is about 275-300ish, roundtrip is about 600 or higher. Thats almost about half of what i pay for a cruise
  24. i miss the summers when they had two ships, one doing the Florida/Bahamas and one to Bermuda it now seems like NCL is cutting back NYC to only have 1 ship. the only time they will be more then 1 ship is when gaps need to be filled based on the itinerary like in the fall months with one ship doing bermuda and one doing canada
