  1. very very very rare almost like no deposit sales
  2. Norwegian is not the only cruise line doing this too. For November i booked a cruise on royal Caribbean independence of the seas to labadee, haiti . With the way how that island is right now and the port being shut down since march or so i doubt i will go there for my cruise. Royal, just like Norwegian is keeping quiet and not saying anything about itinerary changes i somewhat expect to get itinerary changes for this oct 13 cruise and the November cruise on boarding day. it will be a piece of paper in the room with the daily schedule Cruise lines love to wait till the last minute for these situations to avoid any last minute cancellations and/or to prevent to giving out any future cruise credits for itinerary changes
  3. back in the day, i sailed on a different cruise line where the omelet station had a worker with a paper that you checked off with the things you want in the omelet. then they gave you a pager. When the pager went off, you went back to the station to get your omelet. worked out perfected and does help with long lines. would love something like that on carnival ship. they already used a pager based system for seafood shack
  4. Here is a 5 day cruise compass from April: and a 4 day cruise compass:
  5. No. i do not see any lunch options in my planner for my october cruise on the liberty
  6. this is getting off topic but i am looking into MSC for the future, is there a way to tell which studio cabins have a normal bed and which have that horrible couch bed type thing is msc studios similar to ncl studios? i love ncl studio cabins
  7. 2. I would like to bring an empty steel insulated water bottle to keep water cold while on excursions, or around the ship. Is this allowed? yes it is allowed 4. Do I get to pick the time I want to board the ship on the first day? How does that work? yes, you do this when online check in becomes available about 21 days prior to sail date
  8. yes. you can bring prepackage snacks onboard. i am pack some chips/pretzels. they are perfect for long port days
  9. it not just NCL with crazy pricing, Royal Caribbean also has ridiculous pricing and its even worse on the 3 days cruises they do on the new ships its just a sign of the times we live with inflation and how everything is going up in pricing
  10. i always stay near the elevators. i very very rare hear any elevator noise, the only noise i hear is the regular hallway noise from loud people
  11. depending on how tall the ships is, yes and a bridge will reduce the number of ports the ship can sail out of
  12. on the invoice details page, next to prepaid gratuities they should be a small link that says Add with being 3 days from sail date, it might be too late to do it for that cruise but you should be able to do it for the other cruise
  13. glare should not be a problem because one side of the ship is always in the shade
  14. the outside deck area on deck 5 has seating and some areas have table/chairs
  15. i wonder if this means that an excel class sails out of NYC. The Mardi Gras was scheduled to do a few cruises out of NYC which never happened in 2020
  16. RCL does do not that many canada cruises with an oasis class ship. currently their website only shows a mid size ship, freedom class doing all of the canada cruises this year and next year Oasis class ship only visited Canada once in 2022 and 2023
  17. Next year in May 2025, both the Encore and Joy is scheduled to dock at Ward Cove on the same day. Encore is 7am to 1pm and the Joy is 7am to like 5pm. how does ward cove handle two breakaway plus ships, can the shuttle bus cope with two big ships at the same time?
  18. where do you see this? The Breakaway will be in Bermuda on Thursday and Friday The changes i see for the NYC Bermuda cruises is it is now a Saturday to Saturday cruise with it being in Bermuda on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for the Aqua 7 day cruises
  19. Norwegian docks at their own cruise terminal they built called Wards Cove. its north of Ketchikan and requires shuttle buses to/from town
  20. i also noticed it can be cheaper to book the ship excursion due to the all of the various discounts. Also as a solo traveler, it is much easier to book everything with the ship. In the past, multiple tour operators refused me because i was a solo and they wanted groups of people. i didn't mind joining existing groups for the excursion but the operator never allowed it
  21. thats why i hate the platinum free drink. the gold free drink can be used anywhere on the ship. why is platinum limited?
  22. will this happen? for many many years he made various hints about changes that never happened
  23. Viator can be good. I have plenty of tour operators who do not have their own online booking system and use viator/trip advisor for booking
