  1. Yes that is still the case. Norwegian is far far behind with this
  2. looking at the damage it will buff out since its mostly paint scrapes. the bigger damage is internal with the hull dented and banged up. going to need lots of dent pullers
  3. a dry dock is like taking the ship to the local mechanic shop. when i take my car to the shop, they estimate the repair is only taking 2 days. during removing and replacing things, it turns into a bigger job that will take much longer. the same thing can happen to the ship .
  4. Royal coco cay island in the bahamas is getting hit hard with very strong storms. it got so bad they had to order everyone back to the ship in the afternoon
  5. tomorrow the ship is suppose to go half moon cay. Ship AIS data shows it is going directly to nassau are you skipping half moon cay due to that delay or due to weather?
  6. These drys dock is legally mandated by the various ship organizations and is part of the overall maintenance due to her age, they need to be done every few years to inspect the hull and other mechanical systems. This is out of carnival control and will still need to be done if carnival wanted to get rid of the ship newer ships typically need to be dry docked every 5 years and older ships is around 3 years. if you look at the dry dock history, you will see this 3 year pattern.
  7. i wish carnival can deliver the vifp gifts and waters to your room like what used to do before back in the day i am always surprised when i sail on Royal and Norwegian who can place the water, chocolate strawberries, loyal gift in your room on embarkation day
  8. full list of ships is on the ncl website: https://www.ncl.com/downloads/ship-guides
  9. you dont need to make reservations for the main dining room before the cruise. you do this onboard the ship. they will be no issues going to dinning room on embarkation day
  10. How is this for the escape?: https://www.ncl.com/sites/default/files/Ship_Map_ESCAPE_06142022.pdf
  11. for about a year or so, Norwegian has been in the habit of withholding valuable information like this until after final payment so that you are limited with the changes you can make to your booking. basically your only option is either go ahead with the cruise or be prepared to spend extra money making changes to travel plans This is why these types of topics is coming up now because final payment for these cruises is quickly approaching as Norwegian requires final payment 120 days from sail date
  12. disembarkation will not begin until around 1030 from a FB post embarkation for the next cruise is also delayed too
  13. i noticed the same thing. no luggage tags with the you are leaving soon paper
  14. yes. there is two different behind the scenes tour. the paid tour and a platinum free tour The free platinum tour you need to book by going to the cruisenext desk. The free tour is a shorten behind the scenes tour compared to the paid tour. the paid tour is slightly longer and goes to more places

  16. reading the fine print that is in the member benefit page here:https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/crown-and-anchor-society-benefit-grid.pdf it looks like you can only redeem it onboard the ship
  17. this is very common. Lots of ships gotten waivers in 2023 due to weather. Carnival, Norwegian could not dock in Bermuda, their only port call due to weather. I was on a Bahama cruise last year that was unable to do dock in the Bahamas due to weather, a 4 day bahama cruise turn into a 4 day cruise to no where
  18. midnight est, you dont need to do everything in one shot. you can select the arrival time first and then go back later do the rest. you will need a selfie, your passport info, credit card that you want to use for onboard purchases, emergency contact
  19. i see various posts on FB, the Norwegian Gem will be porting at Jacksonville starting in November 2025
  20. closer to the airport. orlando feels tooo far to/from the airport
  21. Princess cruises new ship, the sun princess also has a bubble forehead too
  22. its a great wonderful place to go if you need to spend some OBC
  23. what kind of school work? if you need to log into blackboard or any other website then the value plan will work fine if you need to attend to any kind of google classroom/zoom/teams then you will need the premium plan that works better with streaming
  24. In 2025 the Norwegian Getaway is doing the weekly Canada/new England cruises in August, September and October out of NYC : August 17, 24, 31 September 7, 14, 21, 28 October 5, 12,19 Looks like they are doing the same number of cruises as they did last year. If anything it appears they added some more in middle of August. Usually they done begin these types of cruises until the last week of August The schedule is still not finished and more cruises will be added as the Getaway, Breakaway is misses cruises for 2025 As for as Boston, the Norwegian Gem is doing these types of cruises for a few weeks in September and one week in October . These types of sailings may not be popular out of this port so maybe norwegian is reducing these cruises to sail to bermuda which seems more popular
  25. For 25, CCL is returning to summer season out of NYC just like what they used to do before. no more year round sailings like what they are doing this year. . The Carnival Venezia will return again back to NYC on May 22 and will be in NYC for only 6 months leaving on November 8. NYC is a seasonal port for carnival with ships only here from like May to November from what i noticed over the years
