  1. it depends on how they do the price adjustment from what i noticed. i had price adjustments were they just adjusted the fare and i had others were it was a considering a cancel and rebook. a good way to tell if it is a cancel and rebook is look at the booking date on the confirmation my most recent reprice was last month and my booking date stayed the same with the adjusted fare. it was not a cancel and rebook
  2. yes you can go back in and change it anytime until i think 24 hours prior to sail date. there is no need to print documents. all of your cruise documents remain the same.
  3. Carnival is still doing this itinerary every year. in early 2024 they have very interesting itinerary going to barbados, st kitts, st lucia.. I too am getting very very tired of the same old boring Florida, Nassau Bahamas itinerary. It would be soo much better if they do some of the winter 8-10 day cruises during the summer months too
  4. Add me to the speedy turn around time. I submitted mine early Monday morning and i got my approve email with updated notification this morning last time it took it a few weeks
  5. similar to me..last night i saw a price drop of around 100 dollars which made submit the price adjustment . this morning pricing went up 150 dollars..ouch. when they restored my booking it had the higher price which was not good. so glad they were able to restore the lower pricing i had when they processed price adjustment its somewhat hard to keep to pricing when they can change like every 12 hours or so
  6. From what i noticed over the years, if the full deposit or an additional deposit is due it will always be in the confirmation email under payment schedule and you always have a day or two to make that payment. additionally in your carnival account they will be message on top reminding you to make that an extra deposit is due. It is kind of like your booking goes back to that courtesy hold state before i do a price adjustment i always do a mock booking to find out what deposit is needed and then i make payment first if needed and then submit a price adjustment form
  7. yes they did. i hate how carnival is handling this process. i just had a bad experience with a price adjustment that caused my booking to get canceled because my old deposit from back in the day never fully transferred over causing my booking to get cancel due to a lack of deposit. That was not a fun call to make to carnival to get that fixed i also don't like how they downgrade me from a window porthole to a regular interior cabin. i don't mind interior cabins and that is my prefer cabin anyways but i thought they will at least upgrade me a regular oceanview.
  8. Starting January 1 2023 the gratuities/daily service charges will be increasing to: Haven and Suite = 25 dollars per day Club Balcony and all other cabins = 20 dollars per day as per the ncl website: https://www.ncl.com/ca/en/cruise-faq/what-is-onboard-service-charge
  9. when you book an excursion online before the cruise, they reduce the price of the excursion by 50 dollars. if excursion was 125 dollars and you have the the 50 dollar credit your payment method will only be charged 75 dollars onboard the ship if you need to cancel that excursion, they will refund you the full amount you paid which is 75 dollars
  10. If you have a booking that was switched from the magic to venezia, be very very careful when you submit price adjustments. when you submit the early saver form online and get approved, double check the new confirmation email that was sent to you. Look at the payment due dates under payment schedule. If you see 14/Nov/2022 as due date, there is something very very wrong with your booking. For example: When this happens, the booking instantly gives removed from your carnival account. If you try to add it back, you will get an error message about something like booking number not found or something like that and if you try to pull up your booking using the make payment button on the carnival website, you will also get an error message about invalid booking number not found or something like that If this happens to you, take action right away and call carnival or your pvp as soon as possible. Failure to take action right away will cause your booking to get canceled. after the booking is canceled, you will get an email that says the booking is canceled due to a lack of deposit I learned this the hard way. It took a 1 hour phone call to get my booking restored and everything back to normal. Expect to wait a long time on hold because the carnival person needs to transfer you to a different department to get everything squared away. The cruise fare should be priced protection even if the promotion is over. i was able to keep the rate i was given when i submitted the price adjustment What a way to start the morning, oh what fun this is. I don't like how carnival is handling the magic to venezia ship switch. it is a very messy horrible process and it looks like they are still lots of glitch's in the system causing these weird errors like this
  11. This is normal and happens all of the time. This is the quickest way to get ship between NY and FL
  12. tender is rare and is optional and is only used as a last resort if all of the berthing space is taking by other ships
  13. book early like a year in advance. holiday cruises is always more money and its cheaper when it is booked in advance
  14. i finally got my 2 cabin assignments, porthole on deck 2 to regular inside on deck 1. seems like a downgrade to me. it is what it is. for a short 4 day cruise i somewhat dont care
  15. Woohoo. I finally got my assignment for both of my cruises. I went from deck 2 porthole cabin to a regular inside cabin on deck 1. It seems like a downgrade which I expected since the Venezia does not have portholes. Now I can submit some price drops now that I know my cabin category
  16. I think the trend of this big massive mega ships is somewhat over. Mid size ships is now the trend. a good example is the new Norwegian Prima
  17. crowd management is vital to an emergency and that is where you will noticed the good and bad crew
  18. i think for some people like me that already have a passport, that is really all they need. there is no reason to go to update your id to this real id. depending on your id, updating may not be done online and you need to go a dmv or some other place to get it done
  19. they should rename nassau to the cruise ship parking lots, lots of ships in port
  20. that rate is because of a group rate the ta has for that specific sailing. not every sailing has group rates from what i noticed i am part of the magic-veneiza ship switch and i am still waiting for my cabin assignments. no one at carnival can help me
  21. you do not pay to access the ship wifi. accessing the ship wifi is free and is require to use all of the features in the app.
