  1. i think it is because since you were already upgraded, you do not get upgraded again. you only have 1 chance to get upgraded either by bidding or calling
  2. deck 7 is the main embarkation deck, they have multiple places to place the gangway on this deck
  3. i wonder what is going to happen if people no longer book the specially dinning any more due to price increases and the restaurant remains either empty or the number of people that do go there no longer make sense in those number games these ceos and big wigs play with i have done Teppanyaki many times on many ships and noticed over the years the entertainment from the chefs that do their thing has went down in quality, its like it lost the wow factor that it used to have before. it seems like the chef is rushed to do the show and move on
  4. you can book now online using the carnival website. yes singles sometimes pay double but even if you use a travel agent you still gotta pay the same rate
  5. regular dollar bills is much much better
  6. the article says this is due to the china cruise market. Carnival corporation has an partnership with a china cruise brand called Adora cruises to build new ships for the china cruise market. i am confused on what is going on with the market. why are building ships now when they are issues with the ships they have now? wont it be easier to transfer these 3 ships to that new china cruise partnership company instead of building new ships like what they are doing now?
  7. it could be a glitch with the website. i had things gone missing then reappear a few hours later or it would reappear when i switch from firefox to chrome try again later today or in a few days. you can still enroll onboard the ship if needed
  8. most insurance is non refundable. what does your policy say? try contacting the insurance provider directly instead of carnival. carnival outsources their insurance policy to a third party and due to this reps can be useless with insurance to make a non refundable policy refundable the insurance provider will request a reason for the cancel and request for various documentation that you canceled the cruise
  9. Part of the problem is that original encore itinerary had the ship calling on Great Stirup Cay on day 2. then they flipped the ports around and made Great Stirup Cay near the end of the cruise causing this conflict with the prima
  10. did you do any price adjustments? if you did that can cause promo codes to be dropped off
  11. box office next to the theater
  12. depending on cost, it might be cheaper to use royal shuttle service. with that amount of people plus luggage you need a car service that has a van
  13. I stayed in a studio on the breakaway a few years ago and my only issue i had with it was the lack of a desk area. they was a small table under the tv but it was filled with a lot of unnecessary junk taking up space i had to use the stool under the small desk and my suitcase as a makeshift table
  14. they are always near the elevator on every deck in both forward and aft elevator bank on both the port and starboard side. they are also a few located near the atrium area
  15. Escape does not have the observation lounge. This is on the Joy, Bliss, Encore, Prima
  16. when i was on the joy in October they was a card on the desk area saying that if you want the coffee marker to request it to your steward. it was not in the room automatically
  17. thats what royal does when you book a regular cabin. nice perk
  18. On NCL they do something similar with 1 point for interior, oceanview and balcony and double points for suite
  19. yes and there is also other entertainment around the ship like music and comedy
  20. I am always packed and ready to go. I never unpack my bags from previous cruises
  21. I think what make this ship and the Sunshine the most hated is that they converted the 3 deck high traditional theater with tier seating now to a 2 deck non tier seating theater to add additional cabins and they also removed the deck 5 aft lounge that was used for other events to also add in more cabins with more cabins and less public space it makes the ship feel very very crowded very very quickly.
  22. similar here in the states they are some states that do have a state sales tax on drinks when the ship is in port . once the ship reaches international waters there is no tax
