Vista last drydock was in 2021 so a dry dock is not needed for another 5-7 years or so most likely it could that they are still working on finalizing port schedule with the ports for that month

most likely the news is about the Magic sailing from Norfolk for during the summer months instead of just seasonally. Between this, and the Bermuda cruise ship 2023 schedule this is just more proof that: Magic is being re positioned to Norfolk for the Summer months like what the Bermuda ship schedule says and that the Magic is no longer sailing out of NYC

i look "able bodied" and i have screws in my knees. i have good and bad days with taking the stairs. sometimes i can do i and sometimes i cant. Going down the stairs is not that bad for me, going up the stairs is where i sometimes have the most problems. i have no problem taking the elevator up 1 or 2 floors if needed

here is a picture of the gangway: i somewhat hate to say but it kind of looks like a fun slide to get off the ship. that could be a neat way to leave the ship

When I was on the Joy last month they was a few ports with the gangway on Deck 6. The door was next to Q steakhouse. Behind the crew only door is the outside door that looks like this

and i also love how they separate the terminal in half. if your cabin is on an odd deck like deck 9,11, etc then you go to the check in area towards the back of the terminal and then if you cabin is an even deck like deck 8,10 then you go to the check in area towards the front of the terminal. Best way to spread out the crowds. its a much much better system what carnival does at the same terminal. I did 2 carnival cruises out of pier 88 on the magic and both times the checkin and embarkation process was unorganized crowded with very long lines and wait times and my 2 NCL cruises out of the same pier was much quicker with little to no crowds.

For those going on the go karts be aware of the scale. they do weight you before you get on the go karts and there is no leeway either. if you are 1 or 2 pounds over, too bad and they refund the 15 dollars

based on the pictures it appears this is a port gangway. the ship gangway is always on the lower decks like 4 or 5

This year i cruised with Carnival, Royal and NCL and all 3 my room was ready at the usually time of around 130pm around 1-2pm is the norm for all cruise lines

Royal Caribbean will never have their big mega ships tender. they will always dock The biggest thing cruise lines can do to make getting off and on the ship in ports and on embarkation/debarkation quicker is using multiple gangways in different areas of the ship. I recently went on a NCL cruise and for embarkation and debarkation they had one gangway in the aft part of the ship and one in the forward part of the ship. it makes getting off and on the ship a big easier

every year the offer gets renewed. come may/june 2023 they will update the benefits for the new year

from what i read, the casino drinks on us is suppose to work everywhere on the ship, you can go to a bar to get a drink
