    We were disappointed in Michael’s Club on Eclipse last December. And I’d guess most Retreat guests agreed with me. It was empty most of the time. No fun bar action, no snack menu offered. Dark, gloomy, and empty. No fun.

    Yes, we did get very lucky. However, we were only sailing from Honfleur and were scheduled to disembark at 7:00 am. Luckily, Customs went very smoothly. We only had the one option for a direct flight to ORD, so plan B was to stay overnight and try again the next day. Not ideal. A later flight would be much less stressful

    We did the 12:15 pm on AA. No problems. We had arranged for a private car (Trenchard), got lucky with very little traffic and arrived at LHR about 8:30 am. Plenty of time to enjoy the great shopping and the lounge.

    We used Trenchard Travel LLC in June, 2022. Very happy with the service.

    It’s been a year, but we very much enjoyed Buenos Aires. We stayed at the Alvear Palace (outstanding!) and did a mix of private tours and tours by locals. We had two days in Rio at the end of our cruise due to an overnight, and we Much preferred BA.

    We highly recommend Steve at tripinsurancestore.com. I wouldn’t ever buy insurance from the cruise line or my travel agent.

    Our Regent hotel was Le Meridien. Wonderful service, very comfortable room and a great location.

    So, is lunch no longer available in Compass Rose? It was open on Voyager, and through room service. Sadly, I know this because I was quarantined with Covid. Hoping for a healthy sailing in July! (Splendor)

    Eclipse library had books in December 2023. Food and service were both excellent. The ship needs some work. Our balcony was pretty decrepit. Carpeting needs to be replaced, and yes, the decor is dated.

    I’m late to the party, but so happy to read another Charla adventure! Very sorry for your loss and the last minute stress. We also have a dear rescue dog who cannot be boarded due to her previous trauma at a puppy mill.

    Forgot to ask - are there better wines available if we buy a drink package?

    I’m so confused. We booked our first O cruise with OLife. Then we booked a TA with Simply More. How will this be handled? Likely there will be people on our OLife cruise who booked later and have Simply More. Am I missing something, or will this create a confused crew?

    I sleep with the tv on, so I hope ours isn’t on a bed wall with our neighbor.

    3:00 pm should not be a problem. We had a 12:15 pm, booked our own private car to LHR. There was a lot of traffic, but we had plenty of time. The duty free shopping is quite good.
