  1. I didn’t find out until halfway through the cruise.
  2. I have the Tach hard sided and love them. Unfortunately I got a boo boo on the way to San Diego. I have filed a claim and hopefully it will go through.
  3. Good morning from San Diego, We had about 17 people stop by from our roll call at the Wyndham. Some stayed to talk and othered just said hi. I met Susan and Caron and we are going in the hop on and hop off bus today. It is a bit chilly and I am glad I grabbed that jacket. I thought I heard sea gulls honking since we are on the water here but soon realized they were noise makers! It really wasn’t bad and I went right back to sleep. Everyone have a great New Years Day!
  4. Arrived safely in SD but my next suitcase got a boo boo. Filed a claim, we will see what comes of it.
  5. I found a row of chairs away from the crowds. It was cold in KC this morning and I grabbed my jacket and scarf on the way out the door. Kept me warm.
  6. It is cold on the plane! The only working bathroom is in the rear of the plane. They have to escort the pilot for safety. Poor guy. Everyone knows his business!
  7. Good morning from the plane, 3:30 AM came early. I have a looong layover in LA before the one hour flight to SD. I may find a sleeping pod! Have a great NYE!
  8. Actually yes and I worked with lots of patients who sent money home to help families and are working in poor conditions to do so. Using cell phones to communicate with their families is a real. We all saw the isolation with Covid 19 did to mental health. It is the same for them. Seriously people you need to not take this so personally.
  9. I have read through the comments and all I can say is WOW! People are mean. Anyone who says they can just stay home and work if they don’t like it does not know what home is like. It is a great sacrifice to leave your family behind but they do it to give them a better life. It is not just on cruise ships it is in other places in the world that people work and send money for their families in the depressed countries. Wanting to give the crew free internet is not a crime against cruising. Lighten up.
  10. Sandy, I love the pictures and now want to go on an Antarctica cruise. I will put that on my list. I have been around the horn of South America but not to Antarctica. I just ate some Canadian bacon and I am thinking of a bacon cheeseburger for later today. The kitchen here is closed down and all this dishes washed.
  11. Good early early morning for me, I was up and out of bed at 4AM. Sleep was alluding me. I will need to get up at 3:30 AM tomorrow so go to bed extra early tonight. I should be tired. I went through my checked and carry on luggage to see what I could take out and found very little. I packed a lot of disposable stuff so I will have room to bring back souvenirs. Due to my OCD trip planning I have two plane reservations with miles and need to cancel one. Of course, I can’t make up my mind on which one! I will feel much better once I make it to San Diego. it seems odd not to be traveling without a broken toe or hand surgery rehab! I hope we all make it through the cruise with no mishaps. Prayers for all in need. Have a great day.
  12. My first TA would only send their agency invoice and I had to ask for the cruise line invoice every time. My new TA sends both which is nice. I like to have the cruise line invoice in case there are any questions while on board.
  13. Good morning, It has been cold here and I have to stop myself from packing warm clothes. I keep telling myself I will be sweating and complaining about the heat in a few weeks. Jacqui, I had a dog who always had to have something in her mouth when greeting people. She would panic and pick up anything. It was comical what she came up with. I have a Christmas picture of Murphy. She is making slow strides. She is one lucky baby to have such dedicated parents. Prayers for Debbie and her surgery. Have a great day!
  14. Rich I hope your knee feels ok this morning. The next day is always a little worse.
  15. Good earlier morning, I was up before 6 today. It is reminding me of when I worked and was up at 5:30 everyday. There will be a nap for sure today. Today’s quote was sad for me. It was a tough holiday and it hit me this morning when reading it. I guess I am a little melancholy over doing this long cruise by myself. DS is coming over to do a few things to help me get the house ready. I have been sending things home with him for Molly so that Saturday the only thing to bring over is her. She has been glued to me and even laid in my feet when I was working at the counter yesterday. She knows! My DGS has been attending Kids Strong this week. It is full of both physical and mental challenges and he loves it. He got the coaches award yesterday and was thrilled. Prayers for our care list and have a great day.
  16. Good. Opening, I am getting up earlier each day. I need to be moving it back or I will be out of bed at 3AM in San Diego. We had a dusting of snow yesterday. It is just enough to make it slippery. I have a couple of appointments today ( Molly grooming and a haircut for me). Hopefully in a couple of hours the roads will be better. Today’s quote has a bit of truth in it that you can choose who hurts you. It is easier said than done as often times the ones closes to us do the hurting. I am not good at it and keep setting myself up. Christmas is all out away and I went over my itinerary again yesterday to see if I made any mistakes. I have a nice mix of things to see and several ports with nothing which is ok. I have a lot of OBC so if want to add something I can. Prayers for those in need and cruisers have fun.
  17. Wow, Pauline has worked hard these past few days. You are very lucky.
  18. Good chilly morning, Yesterday was tough for me. I went to dinner with a friend who lost her son last year and we had a good cry. We went to the restaurant where he worked for many years and they had a plaque up in his honor. Baby Murphy faced timed with her cousins as they opened presents. My DSIL said Murphy smiled and enjoyed the activity. I sure hope the new year brings many blessings to that family. Roy, I am sorry to hear about your latest challenge. That darn cancer is smart and works around all the treatments we have. Luckily prostrate cancer is slow growing and we can play their game. Home ownership is a mixed blessing. I love my new house but you have to tinker with it. I do not like today’s quote. It is a bit of a downer. I am glad we heard from @HAL Sailer they have been on my mind. Prayers for the both of them. DS will be over this morning to help deconstruct Christmas. It should not take long. Then it is full speed ahead on house prep for my long absence. Prayers and well wishes for all. Have a great day.
  19. I loved my induction cook top. I would buy one again in a heartbeat.
  20. Thank you for your review. You can use Pro Tip all you want. I was not put off by the phrase.
