@sid_9169 I second the powder recommendation to remove sand... I buy a small bottle of baby powder from the dollar store and put it in my go bag, even if I'm not beaching it. I had a woman spill an entire bottle of coke on my foot once in Nassau- I washed it off but we were in a sandy area and I couldn't get my swim shoe back on because of the sand... out came the baby powder and I was able to get my (wet) shoe back on minus a pound of sand!

@MeganGC1983 one quick question- our TA in October returns to Miami... does Virgin offer airport transfers or do we have to find our own way to the airport? I'd love to know the rest of your gang's experience with getting to the airport...

@MeganGC1983 I really hope not! I saw pics of 8322Z on Scarlet Lady and the lifeboats are one cabin over... REALLY hoping that it doesn't, or I won't be a happy cruiser on a transatlantic cruise for 2 weeks! But thanks for the detective work- please let me know what you find out.

I'm concerned- our cabin is on the floor above (8th) just above the entrance to the Red Room... are you near 8322A at all? Also I'm concerned now about the lifeboats obstructing our view... do you know if that is true?

Full disclosure- I gave the wrong info... I checked my invoice from the parking place and it was $2.91/day... still under $70 after tax for 3 weeks!

I know! My hubby searched for parking around IAH for our TA and when he told me how much it was going to be (under $70 for 3 weeks!) I was sure he was confused! But it's true! It's called On Air Parking... cheapest parking I've ever seen!

Guess you don't want to hear I'm paying $2.51/day for near-offsite parking at Houston George Bush Airport in October???

And I'm not sure which camp you fall in, but I was really excited to find out that not only is it included in the cruise fare, but Virgin uses Coke, not Pepsi!!! Win Win! EDIT: already mentioned by others- didn't read far enough before posting!

Hmmm.... I'm paying less than that ($3300) for two people in a Sea Terrace XL for the 14 day TA in October!

It was all over the US... domestic flights could land but not take off... sounds like the issue was resolved around 9 AM but now they're dealing with the backlog.

We already have a Sea Terrace XL but thinking of trying the Rockstar Serious Suite just for grins... and the perks. One question- some of the Mega Rockstar suites talk about an unlimited bar, but the Serious Suite says it includes 'some selected beverages'... any clue what that means?

@MeganGC1983 I'm looking at bidding for a Rockstar suite... which one did you bid on and why?

Even if this weren't true, THANK YOU! I needed to hear this, since this guy had me absolutely terrified that everywhere would be jammed and we'd never get to eat or watch what we wanted!

I watched the Virgin series after you mentioned it on the Tribe page and it was really helpful. But I'm a bit nervous though- another travel YouTuber was quite the Debbie Downer about the Virgin ships once they reach capacity- not enough room for diners, no room at the shows, too crowded for all the events- I'm really hoping that Megan will give me the real scoop, as I think this guy was kind of biased!
