  1. Thanks for the hack. What I’ll do is to show the 2 options to my room mate and then we’ll decide which one will work best for us.
  2. Thanks for the information! The Metropole’s website mentions Hyde Park but is it just the park and not the Hyde Park Corner Station. We're located in central London, less than a mile from Hyde Park and Paddington Station, with 15-minute access to Heathrow Airport LHR via the Heathrow Express. I read on the Hampton Waterloo hotel website that they are close to some of the places that I want to visit but as a Hilton Honors member I would get more perks on the Metropole lounge. Knowing that the Waterloo station has lifts and elevators, tips the balance towards the Waterloo hotel. What I need to know now is how to make a transfer from the Piccadilly line from Heathrow to the Jubilee line.
  3. Yes but I am going to use the train to go to places. I just need one of them to sleep. I just want to know if the stations have an elevator or escalator. The Hampton Inn Waterloo has the Waterloo Station and the Hilton Metropole has the Hyde Park and Paddington stations. Thanks.
  4. Anyone here has done it on the Vista? I’m doing it next month on the Vista. I liked the menu from the pictures of the Venezia and Magic except the mushrooms.
  5. Good advice ziggy. I’ll talk to my PCC first and write the email. The good thing is that I have the sail and sign card as evidence.
  6. I need to decide between these two hotels: Hampton Inn by Hilton London WaterlooHilton London Metropole. The difference in price between them is less than $10 for the dates that I am looking for. What I need to know is if the train station has an elevator and not just stairs so it would be easier for us to carry our suitcases.
  7. Thanks ziggy. I am going to look for all the information that I can find before I call NCL this week.
  8. Thanks for the responses. I cannot believe that after all these years, I didn’t notice that my first NCL cruise was not credited. This is a good possibility because I remember that I had 2 accounts and they merged them.
  9. I have been checking the points I have with NCL because I am close to Diamond I thought that after my Christmas cruise this year, I needed another cruise to reach this tier. I was checking my cruise history to see if the points of my last 2 cruises were credited correctly when I noticed that the first cruise on my history was the Dream and I knew that I had travel NCL before that. My NCL Sun cruise is not there. I have a Business card holder in which I put all my cruise cards and fortunately I have the Sun’s card there. Do I need anything else to prove that I was there? It has been 20 years. Does that matter? Is there a time limit to credit cruises? Has anyone had a similar experience? Any tips before I call NCL.
  10. I have sailed on different cruise lines and I like them all. Some of them more than other ones. I only have been on Celebrity cruises twice and I didn’t see the conduct described here. But I have to be honest and say that the friends that I travel with sometimes don’t want to cruise with Carnival because of the perception that they have of some people’s behavior. When I travel with Carnival, I travel by myself and I have a good time. That’s funny. On NCL is the opposite. The comedians are always making fun of the Haven. Those jokes get a positive response from the audience.
  11. Thanks for the information. I’m going on my birthday cruise next month and I want to pamper myself and book some spa treatments and see if I can book Chef’s Table for my birthday. OBC will help me to do this.
  12. But can I apply before I board ( whenI pre book)?
  13. Can you use onboard credit if you are pre booking?
  14. I did not know that you could book them with the Cruise Next people until I was on the BTS tour and the CN person told us. I went to book the shows as soon as the BTS tour ended. I don’t know if that happens only on the Escape. I would like to know if this happens in other ships.
  15. I am absolutely sure that was the case because I was traveling with my best friend on that Panama Canal cruise and we booked other shows for both of us but I was the only one booking the comedy since she doesn’t like it. @hallux is correct too. When I was on the Escape I was also able to book the comedy show with a cruise next representative. I also booked the Choir of Men and the Supper Club dinner show using the Cruise Next person. That was a new one to me. I wish that was the case for all the ships.
  16. When I I was on the Joy in January, my best friend and I went to the Social Comedy Club and Night Club ( deck 6) on embarkation day and booked all the entertainment that could be booked including the comedy for me. They give you a paper with the shows and times/ dates and you fill it while you’re in line and then turn it in.
  17. That’s exactly what I do and once in a while I print the signature to have a written record just in case,
  18. I have won trophies for all the Carnival ships that I ‘ve sailed except for the Mardi Gras. I won a game and a trivia but the host was only giving medals.
  19. I would agree with you until my May cruise. My cousin and I joined a young woman who happened to have a photographic memory. I thought that photographic memory was a myth until we met her.
  20. I figured it out. Check the Miami Herald photo with the big 3 ships and. a fourth smaller ship docked at the port. It could have been one of the ships used on the investigation or something else.
  21. I wish I had taken a picture because there were 3 ships behind the Escape. The Sky was too gray so I didn’t take one.
  22. Yes but people were mentioning here about 3 cruise lines NCL, Carnival and MSC. NCL had the Escape, Carnival the Celebration and MSC at least one ship but which line had a second ship to make it 4 ships.
  23. I agree with you. I think NCL handled it well considering the situation. We knew from the beginning that there was an accident involving a small vessel and the captain and the cruise director gave us updates every 30 minutes. They also told us that once we were allowed to dock at the port, Customs was going to take about 2 hours to do the inspection. That way people could calculate if they needed to change their travel arrangements.
