  1. One of the comedians on one of my Valor cruises in March made a joke about taking the elevator with a group of passengers and the strong smell of pot. They were there at the show and raised the hand and laughed.
  2. Update. I posted this on another thread about my Jade experience on my August 28-Sept. 4 cruise. No $50 credit for the 2 activities not offered : tour of ship and dinner with officers. Wines of the World was offered but the Cruise Next person gave me the wrong date and I missed it. Instead of having a sign with the date like the latitude party. He told me to write it down on a paper. I asked him to confirm that I had written the correct date and he confirmed but it was the following day and he could have said tomorrow. No admission of a mistake and no compensation. I am not impressed in general with the Jade. After my experience with the man from Cruise Next, it doesn’t surprise me reading about your experience.
  3. You are right but I have been lucky so far this year. It’s funny that you mention the Breakaway and the Getaway because those are my next 2 NCL cruises. One next week and the other in October. I was on the Breakaway in February so I know that I am going to see probably the same shows but I am looking forward to see Six again. I am happy that Mardi Gras and Horizon have different productions.
  4. Thanks for posting this. I was on the Valor twice this year and I didn’t want to repeat those shows on my 2 Carnival cruises next month. I have been on 3 NCL cruises and 2 RCI cruises this year in 5 different ships and all the shows were different. If they could do it, why can’t Carnival do it. So I am so glad that you posted the Carnival productions. 👏
  5. I think it depends on the ship. I have been on 7 cruises so far this year. 2 of them Royal, 3 NCL and 2 Carnival. The entertainment on the Brilliance of the Seas was just ok but on the Ovation was very good and different with a robot show and the group Mosaic that had a show 2 days in a row to meet demand. I was on the NCL Dawn in June and the Jade in August with some similar shows but the violinist and the singer were better on the Dawn. I only had been on the Getaway once (second time will be next month) but I see that they still have the Million Dollar Quartet and Burn the Floor which are good shows.
  6. I got off the Jade on September 4th and yes you have to take the Covid 19 test to board the ship from Greece.
  7. Thanks for the information. I have a cruise that ends in Trieste next year and this is useful to me.
  8. Arrived 2 days ago from the Jade. Voucher good for the restaurants printed there.
  9. In addition to what had been said they also have some arts and crafts with Christmas motif. I have been on several Christmas cruises including the Joy in 2019 and last year on the Epic back to back beginning the week before Christmas and the ship was already decorated and had the Christmas/ holidays activities.
  10. So NCL reinstated it this month. I was on the Dawn last month and received a $50 OBC because it was not offered, there wasn’t a ship tour and no dinner with officers as Sapphire. Same thing on the Breakaway in February. My next NCL cruise is the Jade next month. Let’s see what happens there.
  11. Nice review. I was on the Brilliance the last week of May on The Greek Isles itinerary and Kotor. I liked all the ports but Mykonos was my favorite. There was a show every night in the theater but there were also activities and/ or music every night in the central part of the ship/ lobby and the Colony. I went to most of the activities but I missed the comedy club like they do on NCL or Carnival. My next cruise is the Ovation of the Seas in 2 days. I hope they have it there since it’s a bigger ship.
  12. But I have always seen some doors decorated on NCL ships. Especially for Christmas.
  13. Thanks! I put Victoria for my July 15 cruise.
  14. My September 2023 cruise was canceled too but I was not surprised due to the current situation in Ukraine. I wished they had substituted ports.
  15. Thanks for the answer. So I can set up my own Navica account and use the other tests on my solo cruise too?
  16. I am traveling with a friend on the Brilliance if the Seas in 12 days. My friend bought the 6 tests package from emed and I was going to buy the 3 package one from Binax now on Saturday but I couldn’t go through because of password issues. I saw her later that day and she told me that she could divide the package and I could pay half. I need to be sure that I can use her tests since I am going to another European cruise 10 days after I return and I was planning to use 2 of those for that cruise since I plan to be tested at least once at the FCO airport for this trip. So far I have been tested at the airport, port or near it for my last year and this year cruises. These are my first proctored tests and I don’t know if I can open a separate account for emed and later use the rest of the tests on a solo trip with an opened box.Can someone please tell me if they have been successful doing this. I also read that the ihealth test could be used if you pay for a proctor. Has someone done this for a European cruise?
