  1. Is that because there were none available? Sometimes Celebrity can move people around to accommodate people traveling together with friends and family. Our TA working with Celebrity got this done for us last year on the Reflection. We were in Sky Suites cruising with my sister and BIL. When we booked there were no adjacent Sky Suites but it got worked out for us.
  2. Too bad you are not adjacent as you would be able to open up your balcony divers and have one much bigger balcony. We do this when we travel with friends or family.
  3. Yes it is subjective, and we prefer Luminae food and service over Blu.
  4. I agree and further proof that this whole thread is useless and needs to end now.
  5. Not Texas, maybe Florida but not sure.
  6. I can't wait to see what the drinks packages will be priced at tomorrow, I am betting they will be back to $109 and $89pp per day. In my state of Texas this sale would have violated our state deceptive trade practices laws.
  7. I have had 100% success just deleting the data and cache without deleting the app and reinstalling it. This is on my Samsung S7 Tablet and Samsung S23 phone.
  8. As others have suggested above, you need to go into your settings for apps, find the Navigator app and under Storage clear the Cache and data then sign back into the app. I have to do this every time HAL updates the app.
  9. Okay, good to know, we are on 11 day Volendam and 7 day Koingsdam with CO.
  10. Where do you get the $15 pp per day? The CO upgrades we did last month for cruises this year and next we $25pp per day, which is still a great deal.
  11. Is the VQ category cabin one that you are happy with? Not sure what a VQ cabin is, if you had a VE, a VA or VB would be an upgrade to higher category. See what I mean about trusting what HAL reps tell you. It's not just HAL, Celebrity reps are just as inconsistent too.
  12. I NEVER trust what any HAL reps tell me, they are undertrained and very inconsistent. If you were being upgraded you would already have your new cabin assigned. Every time we have added CO we immediately got our new cabin number. You should contact HAL NOW and find out what cabin you are in with less than a month to your cruise. Here is a copy of the upgrade info from HAL's website. You will be upgraded to the highest cabin in the category you booked.
  13. This is the same tour we did last year from the Reflection. We had 4 in our group traveling together and this tour was for 8, which defines what we consider a small group tour. It was an awesome tour. We are so tired of being ripped off by cruise line sponsored tours and have found so many great 3rd party ones, with help from our CC Roll Calls. Our Apex cruise in September from Amsterdam to Athens is 100% only 3rd party shore excursions all in small groups.
  14. I am not aware of any SS with obstructed views, they are mostly on the upper decks well above the lifeboats. The only decks we avoid are the decks under the Lido because of noise from moving things around at night. On the Vista class ships that deck we like is deck 6, with a deck of cabins above and below the deck. One of the nice features of all HAL ships is a complete promenade deck that you can walk around the ship.
  15. We always book the Signature Suites for the room size our next choice is Vista Suites. With Club Orange you get a private dinning room for Dinner and breakfast plus priority boarding and tendering. For $25pp per day it is worth the cost. We have an aft facing VS Verandah on the 6th deck on the Koingsdam in November with CO added. The K'Dam is the NS's sister Pinaccle class ship.
  16. We used our 1 HIA specialty restaurant credit on the Koingsdam with Tamarind, which we prefer over PG. We have been in the PG so many times and the Tamarind is only available on a few of the HAL ships.
  17. If the OBC is from HAL as a promo you will not be able to use it until you board the cruise. I think these stinks as other cruise lines allow OBC to be spent on excursions and restaurant bookings before boarding. Your invoice from HAL should have the OBC listed. Here is how ours is listed for our November Koingsdam cruise. It is under the section Guest Information on the first page of the invoice,
  18. Most certainly is, if you do not want to dine in Blu, you have the option of going to the MDR. I did it many times while in Aqua Class on both S and M class. At Least this was true pre Covid when we traveled with non AQ class friends and we often joined them in the MDR. Now we all only book the Retreat Suites post Covid.
  19. Even if you do not want to dine in Blu, you still can do anytime dining in the MDR, on E Class this means any of the 4 different MDR's.
  20. We also like SDT, but they have been super slow on sending email confirmations for paid tours. We paid for our September Apex tour on May 18 and saw the payment on our CC but 10 days later we are still waiting for the confirmation. They need to be more prompt with confirmations.
  21. Call Celebrity, if the Aqua is the same price as current booking in verandah, you will get the AI included. What do you have to lose? In the past we have done this and not lost any of our deposits, but the rules with X keeps changing.
  22. We are also looking at other lines for itineraries as well. The 18 day Oceania cruise of South America in March 2025 was so much better than what Celebrity is doing for only 14 days. The August 2024 Volendam HAL cruise of NE and Canada has an itinerary and small ship that Celebrity and even Oceania can match, so we are straying too, After making Elite with Celebrity and no longer wanting to cruise the Caribbean after next week, we find Celebrity's itineraries are getting too boring and repetitive. Also Celebrity has too many shorter cruises unless you pay more and do B2B cruises. I hope you will comeback here and do a comparison of Celebrity to Ponant.
  23. last year on the Reflection we had no problem with brining wine back from ports in Italy and Greece.
  24. Alaska and Canadian cruies look really good when its 105 in August in South Texas.
  25. no lunches at any time
