  1. It looks like the start time of "November 10, 2022 at 4 PM EST" for this offer is accurate. The email I received about an hour ago contains a clock counting down to that starting time. Kind of an odd start time for a 1-day promotion, but the fine print indicates it expires November 11, 2022 which means it should be good through tomorrow. It also looks like this offer is indeed only for North America. The fine print says "Offer is available to residents of the 50 United States, Canada, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Mexico and the District of Columbia." The discount is on the base fare before the single supplement is applied. For grill suites (which usually have a 100% single supplement), a 25% discount on the base fare is the same as if the single supplement were reduced to 50% on the original fare. For Britannia staterooms (which usually have a 75% single supplement), a 25% discount on the base fare is about the same as if a 32% single supplement were applied to the original fare. It's not clear to me if this offer applies to grill suites though since the fine print only mentions "Up to additional 25% off the single supplemental fare reducing the supplemental from 175% of the double occupancy fare down to 132% of the double occupancy fare." I count 123 voyages for 2022-23 for this offer based on the list of voyages provided in today's email. Also, it is not a straight 25% discount on all those voyages. Note the "Up to additional 25% off" in the previous quote. The fine print goes on to state "Additional discount ranges from 14% to 25% and varies by voyage."
  2. Here's another webcam view from my collection of a port we've already seen. This one is not as difficult as it may appear at first glance. This scene may not be immediately recognizable but there is enough information in the image to identify it.
  3. We were booked on Queen Anne's 13-night Caribbean cruise from Fort Lauderdale departing February 8, 2024. It does not appear there will be a similar itinerary from Fort Lauderdale in Queen Anne's revised schedule as there is nothing about automatically moving us to a different cruise in the email we received. Our booking has been canceled and 10% FCC will be issued. I'll be interested to see the details of the revised schedule. Here's a note we received in our email about Queen Anne's replacement itineraries. "We very much hope though that you can join us on one of Queen Anne’s new maiden season voyages that will now start in May 2024, and will include sailings from Southampton to the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, the Canary Islands, and the Norwegian Fjords." Edit to add: We may know something about Queen Anne's replacement itineraries as discussed on the "2024" thread. No assurances that schedule will be going forward now though.
  4. QM2 is in Trondheim today. Here is a capture this morning from the Turistskipskaia webcam found on the Trondheim Port Authority's website (trondheimhavn.no). I am posting this courtesy of the Trondheim Port Authority.
  5. That is indeed Santa Margherita (aka Santa Margherita Ligure), Italy. I have a few more webcam images (mostly distant view) of Cunard ships I can post. I'll wait until after your port day tomorrow in Trondheim before I post another, @sfred.
  6. Here's a hint to assist with the identification of my last webcam image. In addition to this port being the subject of a previous photo on this thread, it has also featured in three of the word games we've played here (anagrams, Christmas words and month abbreviations).
  7. Welcome back to Australia, QE! Here is a webcam capture showing QE entering Fremantle Harbour a few minutes ago. Who would have thought when she left Brisbane on April 7, 2020 it would be two years and seven months (to the day) until she returned to Australia? This is a capture from the Victoria Quay harbourcam found on the Fremantle Ports website at "https://www.fremantleports.com.au/the-port/harbourcams/victoria-quay-harbourcam". I am posting this image courtesy of Fremantle Ports.
  8. Yes, I received that email. Not sure, but this might be a North American-only promotion. I have no special insight into this promotion, but my guess is that it might be an offer eliminating (or reducing) the single supplement on some voyages. For those who haven't seen it, here is the text from that email. November 10, 2022 at 4 PM EST. SAVE the DATE 11.10 For one day only we will have an exclusive offer for all solo travelers. 9. Here's another of my webcam captures. This one shows a partial view of one of the Cunard ships at a port we've already seen.
  10. QM2 is in Tromsø today and is scheduled to be there until very early Tuesday morning. There is a distant view of her on the webcam for the "Vervet Live" YouTube channel. I have not received a response from the folks at vervet.no to several requests over several weeks seeking permission to post an image from their webcam, so I'll post a link to it instead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKpPfH8u3GI Edit to add: For the next few hours, rewind to around 11:40 if you'd like to watch QM2's arrival from the distance.
  11. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico? I think this is a view of the Cabo San Lucas marina from outside Plaza Bonita next door to Señor Frog's. The key was recognizing the flag at the left is the green, white and red of the Mexican flag. At first I thought it might be the blue, white and red of the French flag which of course had me headed in the wrong direction for a while. From there, a search for a Mexican boat named "Phantom" led me to "Phantom Fishing Cabo". Google street view did the rest to find the precise location where the photo was taken.
  12. While we ponder @babs135's contribution, I'll offer a hint for @sfred's latest set of photos. Let's just say I think they offer arrival and departure views for a very recent port call.
  13. QM2 is in Bergen today. Here's a view from Mount Fløyen this morning courtesy of Fløibanen AS. I posted a couple similar images on the Queen Victoria current location thread in July. Now it's QM2's turn. It's a rainy day in Bergen but at least the clouds haven't socked in this view from Mount Fløyen (yet).
  14. You are correct, @ExArkie. That webcam capture of mine is showing Gijon, Spain. Your research did not steer you wrong. That previous photo (which presumably is Stavanger) was posted by @sogne. He will need to confirm that identification. We'll assume that's Stavanger unless he lets us know otherwise.
  15. It depends on which voyage you are on. Some of the QM2 departures from New York are on the list of "voyages with standard requirements" which no longer require evidence of a negative covid test. Other departures from New York are on the list of "voyages with additional requirements" where evidence of a negative observed covid test taken within two days of embarkation is required. The October 7, October 25 and December 3 eastbound crossings from New York were/are on the "standard requirements" list. The November 20 and December 22 departures from New York to the Caribbean are on the "additional requirements" list. The requirements for departures in January and beyond have not been stated yet.
  16. Well, that's interesting. This certainly wouldn't be the first time for Cunard where it seems the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I take it then that the drinks packages aren't available for you to purchase under "Drinks", "Explore", "Add To Basket" within My Cunard for your voyage. Is that correct?
  17. I think the OP's 5-night Dutch Christmas Markets cruise just makes it under the wire as the minimum voyage length for the drinks packages. At least the World of Drinks brochure and the Cunard website state "Drinks options are only available on voyages of five nights or more." Has that changed?
  18. Here's another webcam view from my collection showing a Cunard ship departing a port we've already seen. Believe it or not, that blip on the horizon immediately to the right and above the land is a Cunard ship.
  19. A potential issue with that approach is one of each couple's keycards will end up operating the other couple's door instead of their own, right? I could see that as an issue for us if only one of our two keycards could open our door. Would Cunard agree to recode keycards to open different doors than the cabins guests are officially registered in?
  20. That will work as long as both of your parents are the ones actually drinking the alcoholic drinks ordered using their drinks packages. Sharing is not permitted, so you (or your parents) can't order drinks using their drinks packages that you would be drinking yourself.
  21. First of all, welcome to CruiseCritic. Just to expand a bit on the excellent advice you have already received. If the two of you that are drinkers are in the same cabin, that will work since both persons in the same cabin will need to purchase the same package. Otherwise it won't work so well. If you have one drinker in each cabin, then all four of you would need to buy the package according to the stated terms and conditions for the drinks packages. The terms and conditions for the Beers, Wines & Spirits drinks package state you will receive a 20% discount off the full price for drinks over the $12 limit.
  22. The Southampton VTS website has posted a revised time of 23:30 for QM2's departure this evening.
  23. Excellent example of how QM2 can make up time on a crossing. After leaving New York about five hours late, she's still going to arrive about six hours ahead of schedule. And that's going east where hours are lost for clock changes (she did have the advantage this crossing of only four clock changes because of the shift from Summer time back to standard time in the UK on Sunday).
  24. Yes, Cunard offers transfers to the three major New York area airports. It's hard to tell though since there is no sign of their availability in My Cunard. There is a section to add a transfer when making an initial booking on the Cunard US website, but all it displays there is a list of prices without any descriptions for 2022/23 bookings. Anyway, for the remaining 2022 QM2 voyages to New York, Cunard coach transfers are listed at $50 per person to JFK and LaGuardia airports. Coach transfers to Newark airport are $50 in November but they go up to $60 in December. For 2023 QM2 voyages to New York, the price for coach transfers appears to be a consistent $60 per person to all three airports. Edit to add: Cunard also offers transfers via executive car or mini-van (at additional cost of course).
  25. Now that we are four pages on since the last time I posted our ports lists, here are the latest versions. We have now seen 597 Cunard ports/cruise-by locations but there are still plenty of opportunities to add more. We also welcome photos showing different views of ports we've already seen.
