    We were 100% sure we’d be switching to the 2026 WC and then….we saw the itinerary. Not our cup of tea at all. Sticking with 2025.

    We did it years ago and Master Chef Alfredo Marzi was onboard and did ours. Incredible but there’s no way to top that one and haven’t done it since. Risotto to die for.

    I disagree. I think they know a certain percentage of cruisers remove all tips. The people that leave them on are picking up their share. And this is exactly American tipping culture. Pay them the minimum and make it up with tips. That’s not English, Canadian, Australian or any other culture.

    They don’t have to raise it $150 pp. ever seen the line up at guest services to have tips removed? I’m tired of paying for the cheapskates. Make it mandatory and add it to the fare. Royal Caribbean’s is now $55 Cdn a day. Enough!

    They deserve to be paid a living wage by their employer, not me. The whole US based tipping culture is out of control.

    I have a slightly different take on riviera. As her last cruise is a repositioning cruise to Asia, they’ll be released when the exotics gets released.

    I’m from the Westcoast. There are plenty of wild salmon that is not from Alaska. Costco on the Westcoast sells fresh or previously frozen wild salmon. Usually Copper River or Sockeye. We do not eat farmed salmon. Costco is actually pretty good for seafood on the Westcoast. Lots of fresh crab.
