  1. I’m curious we booked three specialty night dining on our cruise for next year because I wanted certain times in the restaurants. I know as elite plus we got 15% off when I called they said I needed to go ahead and book online and deal with guest services when we get there. I am curious if it is difficult to get the extra discount back as OBC ??
  2. That makes sense I didn’t even think about it being a holiday cruise!
  3. I have booked specialty restaurants for 3 nights and times using the Celebrity app for a Sept 2024 cruise .I could not imagine why you could not book yet.
  4. We had the free continental breakfast 8 out of our 10 night cruise. We like a light breakfast so a fruit platter, yogurt ,cereal and pastry is perfect. We usually had coffee (not the best) and hot tea.
  5. I am curious about this also.I just canceled a cruise on a Pacific coastal I only had a $500 non refundable deposit down. And I assumed if I was not putting it towards a new Cruise, I would lose the entire amount.? I just sent my travel agent and email asking if we would get $300 FCC back to use towards a cruise that we already have booked. I was under the impression it had to be towards a new booking only.?
  6. I rented two cabanas in March, one on the Solstice and one on the Edge. We had the beverage package on the Solstice so we got a bottle of champagne but it also came with the 6 beers fresh fruit, skewers, and lunch. On the Edge we had a 1/2 cabana and we did not have a Bev. package so had a bottle of kettle one vodka ,6 beers ,4 waters ,fruit skewers. And also 2 bottles of Evian facial spray!! I also thought the cabanas seat cushion and pillows were very comfortable! And the table in the 1/2 for 2 people would have room for a game . The full cabana for 4 was very large . We booked a second day we enjoyed it that much.
  7. Yes I used that perk most afternoons I had a mocha iced on the Edge ! Free
  8. I just saw that also on my cruise planner for my Sept 2024 cruise!! It was $137.99 pre cruise Wow !! No way would I pay that.I was looking to see if the upgrade to premium was on sale.
  9. Is it this Sept 2023? I am on the Solstice Sept 2024 I just looked it up and it says Sept 2023 it just happens to be the same dates.
  10. I will post some pictures! But you will have to wait almost a year and a half!!
  11. Thank you for your detailed answer I thought the starboard would have sunset views.1546 is on the starboard side so looking forward to some sunsets. It will be the most sea days in a row so views are important .
  12. I am booked on the Solstice in Aqua 1546 for a September 2024 cruise. I’m curious if someone that has done that cruise if there is a side that is better?? Since we have 5 sea days I would like some sun and also sunsets would be great! I of course know where the sun sets since I live in San Diego but not sure with the actual route between Vancouver and Hawaii. Thanks for any input
  13. That is odd!! On the Solstice and the Edge in March I wore a swimsuit with a coverup the entire day !
  14. I just saw my last post and glad you knew I was not wanting to know what shift you were on 🤣
  15. Georgia _peaches we booked a cabana alcove on the celebrity solstice on a port day and I believe it was $99 and that included up to four people. On that cruise we had 4 people and the beverage package so we took the bottle of champagne. On the edge we took the Cabana for two people on sea day and I believe it was $175 well worth it with the extra perks when we did not have the beverage package ! And the bonus as we liked having a designated seating area that was comfortable and had a great service !! but it was only charged as a one person price if that makes sense. Even though it says per person. We booked it for the third day (Edge)because we wanted to see where the cabanas were and if we were going to like it because we could cancel 24 hours in advance. what shift are you on??
  16. Georgia_peaches We did a cruise in March without the package and our bill at the end of our 10 day cruise for beverages was $200 . We do enjoy our cocktails. We brought on 4 bottles of wine also bought a 2 of bottles of wine in Eden with 20%off. We also booked a cabana and received a bottle of vodka and mixers also 6 beers. Most of the vodka and a couple beers went back to our room to enjoy!! At HH we enjoyed a martini(or 2) then brought a glass of wine to dinner.A couple nights when we we went back to the martini bar we would have another glass .A few nights the did not charge us for our nightcap.Maybe because we always sat at the bar and got to know the bartender and we always tipped.? Also enjoyed many cappuccinos that are included as elite plus . Our next cruise next year we have the bev package booked before we did our BCC cruise but would not have a problem going without the bev package in the future. also if you drink beer the sell them by the bucket and is much cheaper! We also had one bottle of our 4 bottles brought on left that we enjoyed in our last night at the hotel!
  17. We are in Puerto Vallarta now and have been for the last 3 weeks and weather has been great . We saw the cruise ship come in and just caught up on this report to see why the late arrival. Sorry your stay is so short.I will be in downtown today for shopping and lunch . enjoy Salud
  18. When we stopped there on our cruise we did a sail excursion about 3 hrs with Vallarta adventures which we enjoyed . We have since bought a condo here because we loved it here.We live here part time since retiring. If you don’t have a lot of time I would just suggest to go down to the Malecon and look at the artwork and find a great restaurant on the beach with toes in the sand to have drinks and lunch.
  19. I finally caught up on your review! I am enjoying your review and pictures. We did the full transit on the Infinity in 2018 and loved it and it is still one of our favorites. We are in Puerto Vallarta now and the weather has been 85 and sunny for a few weeks now 🙂
  20. I just caught up on your review. I am enjoying reading about your trip! I thought the fish sandwich looked interesting and then someone said it was on raisin bread! I probably would’ve been skeptical, but now I definitely want to try one!! after I posted this, I realize that I’m not caught up on your review!!
  21. Good things come to those who wait 😉
  22. And for anyone gluten-free just off the edge they will make you a gluten-free pizza fresh and generally give you the whole pizza! My DH did a few late night walks down to get pizza to bring back to the room!! I thought it was pretty good!
  23. Just off the Edge cruise and we left $3 to $5 dollars each round . They were also very appreciative and we also wanted to make sure they were taken care of since it was a free drink. Roy on the Edge makes a very good dirty martini 🍸
  24. I just got off the edge 10 day cruise and had martinis at the martini bar every night with the happy hour menu.
