We are going on the Spirit in August and we saw a video on you tube and noticed there are no pools, or whirlpools and quite frankly the fees they are asking for the thermal spa are ridiculously high. We decided to forfeit the spa pass and splurge on a Balcony Stateroom, is an expensive cruise. for 16 days

We have a 16 day cruise on the Spirit Alaska-Hawaii we are paying 1274 per person, great price, IMO. in a Balcony Stateroom.

well our 16 day cruise from Vancouver to Alaska and Hawaii, for 16 days went down in price, 1100 dollars to be exact, i actually find that NCL is having better prices, depends on the cruise of course

No, again the haven in older smaller ships used to be called the Courtyard therefore the suites were in the Courtyard area. The name the Haven came later.

Not all ships were called the Haven I believe that started with the Epic but for smaller ships it was the Courtyard and courtyard suites.

We are on the Spirit this year in August for 16 days, still before final payment, and our cruise has already gone down 1100 dollars in price. We may or may not bid for the Courtyard suites, those prices right now are over the top.

Spa Balcony and Club Spa Balcony suite are excluded from the Diamond free upgrade perk. We asked. We have used our perk going from Ocean view to BA balconies, one on the Epic this coming April and one on the Spirit this Coming August.

Our cruise went down in price after final payment and we were just told by our PCC that we will probably get FCC...

Well on our last cruise on the Escape the ship was at 60% capacity and even though we bid on the Haven our bid was not accepted, we found out when we were on the ship. We were later on told by two people in the Haven that some of the rooms up there were empty. We were willing to up are bid but it was already too late, I wonder if the ship is not to capacity whether the Epic will do something similar.

currently bidding on the NCL Epic April 22 of this year. We will see.

We are going on the Epic in April and it will be our 6th time on that ship, we enjoy it. We were on the Escape last November and we loved that ship. Between both ships? i would go with the Escape but for us depends on the price. :-).

interesting, on our last cruise they dropped a port and we got a refund on the port taxes and fees as refundable on board credit.

I have been on the Epic 5 times going on 6 this coming April, and although i find the ship not that appealing i like their itinerary and the price. Everyone has their opinion and as i said before is grain of salt for me. The times i have been on the Epic it has been fun, uneventful, i don't care about the rooms we don't spend time there and we like the ship.. We have never had a hard time booking a restaurant, a show or anything really. I am sorry so many people have a hard time with this ship.

we don't care for it either, or the ship tour. I love your idea of another premium dinner, or how about some extra onboard credit. 🙂

We will sure to file ours this coming week for our two cruises coming up in April and August. We have never had a proble getting our credit and always within 3 days..

The spa on the Gem, Epic and Star are my favorite. I have also seen the Spa on the Jade and that one is negligible, I haven't been on the Dawn yet but if is anything like the Star you should be ok. I would go to you tube and find videos about the Spa. I hope this helps. The NCL Star has a nice pool in the spa.

My passport was set to expire December 12, 2022 and I renewed it that April of 2022, reason was, they had announced delays in passport renewals.I sent my application, paid normal delivery and received my passport within 3 weeks. I also renewed it because I was set to go on a cruise October 2022, didn't want to take a chance and i think some countries require you passport to be at least 6 months from expiration date, if i am not mistaken.

I have friends, American friends who live in San Miguel de Allende and Playa del Carmen who are now thinking of coming back to the US. They tell me that it gets more and more dangerous as time passes. I have been to Mexico and i am always cautious but the again i grew up part of my childhood in South America and you learn to be cautious at all times.
