I pack my favorite brand of soap, i have sensitive skin if i use NCL i will itch and will be miserable. I also have my own shampoo, for the same reason.

Well flip flops are not sandals, i will leave it at that 🙂 I am a man and i love sandals, I take care of my feet and i use them in the MDR, and i am sure i would use them in the Haven restaurant. If Sandals are good enough for women to wear in the restaurants ( and i have seen them) then I will certainly go for it and i have :-).....Now shorts, well that's another matter, during lunch i am ok with them, now dinner? hmm don't know about that, but that's just me. Wear what you want, i say. I am too busy enjoying my meal, or talking to the person in front of me to look at peoples feet or legs. IMO :-)...

We are 8 days out on the Escape and our offers for Haven bids are still pending, we figure we should hear something this week.

if you bid for the Haven Spa Suite you and get it, yes, you get the spa access, and access to the Haven, what you don't get are extra perks that may come with it if you had purchased it outright. I hope it makes sense.

9 times out of 10 they do drop. We are 11 days away from our cruise and when we first booked it the price for a Balcony guarentee was 2100 dollars per person. Now, the price for a balcony guarantee is 1059 hundred per person, that goes with other categories they all went down in price.

yes, i mostly think is because if they are accepted they are already on the ship or in a place with limited WIFI...For instance, our cruise in Nov 1 and we will be traveling on the 30th which is Sunday, So hopefully we will hear something by that Friday. Will definitely post whether it was a yes or nay...LOL

Our offers are still pending on the NCL Escape and we are 12 days out. I am guessing we will find out sometime next week. We are currently bidding on 4 categories, 3 Haven suites and 1 non Haven.

To use the NCL app do you need to pay for wifi on board? We usually put away our phones once we get on board, but we may need to check on some things while on board. We do have some free wifi minutes.

you won't find a better deal. NCL has not changed their promotions in forever. they go from 70% off then 40% same perks, Believe me, they just repeat their promotions over and over. LOL

Thankfully we have never had to pay for laundry on the ship, only once, did we have to do extra laundry and we waited when they had the special half off for a bag of laundry...

Same here, we have been on the Epic 4 times and going on our fifth soon.

We only take 15 days plus cruises and in the past i have been able to do laundry twice. It really depends on the cruise next manager, 9 times out of 10 they allow it. We are both Diamond so we try to work it out to do our laundry together and extend that perk , the problem are those flimsy bags LOL...the rip easily.

how is your cruise doing? you can pretty much tell how you will do. In my case Haven is almost sold out, only two categories available as of now. Good luck to you too, they may have not sent it to you because your bids may be good, just guessing.

We have just received an email from Norwegian telling us to participate in a " real time bidding"because we have just been outbid on the forward haven access suite. LOL we will keep our bid where it is...our cruise is in 14 days on the Escape

Today, I checked our cruise on the Escape , and is interesting how much the price has come down and yet the bids stay the same. Haven is almost sold out, 18 days out. oh well i guess we wont get it LOL...

just out of curiosity, I've never noticed before that the Haven on all ships are forward, what is the problem with that? I guess we always book midship and only thing i notice going forward is the ship movement, specially on a transatlantic.

exactly. I will going on my cruise in 23 days, we just got the latest booster along with the flu shot, so we are ready. We plan on testing before leaving and after we come back. I have a mother with alzheimers and a centenary plus grandmother and i must protect them, is the right thing to do. We are looking forward to our first cruise since 2019.

completely agree. For instance, both of us are Diamond but unfortunately we still get two vouchers. So if friends decided to travel together and they each earned their status only two vouchers are given because you are sharing a stateroom it doesn't matter if you have different eating hours. I find this ridiculous.

I just did that, covid and flu shot, check :-). I agree with you, my nephew who is 17 years old has gotten it twice. Mild. I believe i got it back in 2020, December to be exact. I lost my sense of smell and taste for 2 weeks, had some problems breathing but back then there were non tests and no vaccines.. I am looking forward to my cruise.
