I have now seen enough anecdotal evidence to convince me that being vaccinated (which I am, and double boosted) does not prevent catching or transmitting COVID. But I do understand your thinking, as I was there myself until recently.

My parents started going to the casino later in life. They went enough that they won lots of items like caps, shirts, camp chairs, etc., all with the casino emblem. Mom sewed patches over the emblems so everyone wouldn't know they were gambling. 🤣

As someone else suggested above, I find there are more similarities than differences. I have not found the food on Celebrity, at least in the main dining room, to be superior to that on NCL. But, as of the last time I cruised on Celebrity, they still had a night during each cruise that lobster was served in the MDR. I've enjoyed sailing on both line numerous times, but more on NCL. I'm not much of a nightlife person, so can't really offer much there.

I also thought Cagney's was way overrated before the pandemic, and I quit eating there. But gave it another try when cruising started back, and it has been excellent on the 3 ships I've been on since.

Other than the butler, won't the person in the balcony room still get Haven perks? Personally, I'd probably rather be in a balcony room by myself than sharing one cabin with 4 other people.

Does anyone know if it can be transferred to another person? That may be an option if OP cannot cruise again before the end of the year.

It looks like that falls under the category of "Premium Global Assist Hotline." It MAY provide emergency transportation, but only under a bunch of conditions, it appears. I don't rely on the card's coverage for medical.

You don't have to book through that agency, as there are other agencies that are "American Express Travel Representatives." Just make sure to ask before booking if they are able to secure the benefit for you.

I should specify that I know this to be the case in specialty restaurants. I'm not sure if the main dining rooms will do it.

They'll even do that if you are not in the Haven and don't have a butler.

I was also able to book the same restaurant twice by using the chat feature on the website. I hate talking on the phone.
