  1. Good thing is, it's mostly warm weather (lighter) clothes. Shorts, sandals, t-shirt, robe
  2. It's nasty stuff. When it starts rotting....blah Avoid beaches if it's there
  3. We have a Qantas flight from Perth to Brisbane (Internal Australia) and we have baggage weight limits of 50# They have to weight them, have to know total pax and stowage weights to fly
  4. No one really disputes that, but there's a balance. For every person mad about missing their daily bacon fix, there's someone else mad about the 15 drink limit and another person mad they have to pay to use the Therapy Pools "Because it's just another pool" or some foolishness. You will NEVER, ever make every customer happy, ever. This is why they're not always right. There's a general rule of internet forums and those on them, those on them represent less than 1% of the total business. A tenth of that are the ones who actually follow through on anything they claim or threaten.
  5. The Masters (Golf) will be going on during the cruise, I wonder what we'll be able to watch onboard?
  6. Isn't it expensive? At least trains in the US are costly and they suck for long travel
  7. Most of the time, the customer is wrong. Customer's opinion is also usually wrong.
  8. Right! As a shareholder, they protected your INVESTMENT and kept the company alive, and if that's less bacon or once a day room care, so be it....THIS IS YOUR MONEY. Normally, "customer is job 1," but in times of great company distress, keeping afloat (no pun intended) becomes priority one. I can't help my customers without a business. Believe me, I know, I started a business and there were times where we teetered on the edge of disaster a few times, but we made it through....by tightening up. That's what you're mad about and complaining about, their tightening up to save your investment and make you money on that investment </ end rant >
  9. I've realized the last two cruises, check in and arrive at the late end of that window and you glide on through almost without stopping.
  10. Necessary? No Do you really want to get on the ship the second the last passenger disembarks? Then the two days early helps
  11. Who says they're not the leader and those others are following Carnival's lead, trying to keep the business afloat, passengers happy and not get fired by disgruntled stock holders pissed they don't get twice a day room cleanings.
  12. Good idea, let's fire the people who kept the company afloat and alive during the worst economic downturn in the tourism industry, and a total shutdown of the cruise industry for more than a year.
  13. I realized this morning, we're going to do a full 'round the world on this trip. Completely circumnavigate the globe going East to West MCO>DXB>PER>BNE>PPT>SUV>HNL>SEA>MCO That's....Orlando>Dubai>Perth>Brisbane>Tahiti>Fiji>Honolulu>Seattle>Orlando DXB Dubai is a 7 hour layover. Week in Perth before cruise.
  14. Hi, I'm Dave. I'm a degenerate gambler (*Not really me in picture)
  15. Cash is king and if the bar is crowded and you're holding up a dollar bill, you'll be seen a lot faster. I also tip out my cabin steward a twenty up front and let him know my needs
  16. "When you close your eyes do you dream about me...."
  17. Let me rephrase that, we did "Preferred Seats" Flights do not show a "Premium Economy" at all....either the 777 or the A380 we're on Difference? No idea? Another name for same product on new aircraft?
  18. One leg we did, the other I got an exit row premium seat. But I have also noticed a pretty empty flight, so I now have wife and I split a 4 seat section...it's a 3-4-3 configuration. So, I have us in two premium seats, one apart, in a 4 seat section, allowing some space to lie down or whatever. Once in the air, no one really cares what seat you sit in, as long as it's not theirs
  19. Not sure if you saw earlier, I found decent flights to Australia out of Orlando Emirates can get you there in one stop in Dubai MCO>DXB>BNE (Brisbane)
  20. Divide out the cost of a six pack of soda or other mixer
