Our last one on Celebration, our balcony had an upper drop down bed and the couch bed conversion to sleep 4, yet it was just us two. If they needed that 4 sleeper balcony cabin, they'd swap me to a similar for two and just do it....

Same. Wife and I did Horizon after start up and needed masks and it was no big deal. We don't hang out in the bars and clubs anyway.

My question to that is, when does it become a Carnival US cruise? Once we leave port? I have a feeling once we leave AUS, we'll be on US rules and that'll be relaxed.

If an adjoining or something like that, they may need to move you. They do have that right, it's in your contract of carriage.

While "Your mileage may vary" on this one, makes sense to me that post-cooties and with low staffing to quietly allow people to do this. If they publicly announced it, many people would try to ignore the casino entirely and get just free drinks and walk away. Just ask at the bar, that's the lesson. May work, may not, but give it a shot.

I was looking through an old one and even more convinced their reasoning is advertising. The app doesn't have the ability to flash a sale at you and there's no ads in the app for the spa services and other things. It's there, but daily specials aren't shown in your face like it or not, like it is on paper. Shopping things, sales, etc...have to have relied on eyes on that paper every day. The paper used the side galleys for these ads on these things.

I call the regular line, talk to the regular person, if they can't handle it they just send you to the casino people.

I had an interesting thought.... What if Carnival is trying to move us more towards a fast food menu (burgers, tenders/fries, burritos, pizza etc...) and away from the now diminishing the MDR through quality? Fast food is cheaper, easier, less staff needed to prepare and serve. Even Italian food is a long hold food that freezes well. It's Italian fast food. If everyone ate primarily fast (frozen) food, the entire menu cost per person would drop significantly

I get cheers with my casino offer, since I do not drink alcohol, I would never pay for it. But it does come with specialty coffees, energy drinks and milkshakes. If the Bubbles soda package moved the coffees and milkshakes (I can live w/o Red Bull), that is something I would pay for. Keep that in mind, Cheers is more than booze and soda. It also includes your triple half-caf pumpkin spiced mocha gummy bear coffee in the morning and your spiked vanilla shake before bed.

Having travelled a lot and been to Las Vegas MANY MANY times in suites with hot tubs.....NASTY!!! People are nasty.
