  1. I have sailed RCCL, MSC, Norwegian and Carnival. I am only loyal to Carnival due to casino deals. Keeping all you read in mind, ANY CRUISE IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT. Carnival does have a different vibe, but that varies by cruise length, time of year and some departure ports. The shorter 3-4-5 day cruises are total ragers many times. If you're younger and dig that, cool, I don't. Longer cruises during off seasons are quite chill and nice. Up until Covid, it was my opinion that Carnival's MDR and overall food experience was better than the others. Since covid and the two cruises we've taken, my opinion on the food has dropped a notch or two. Covering up flaws with more fast food isn't better food. I don't want a floating McD's or KFC. (yes, it is better than them, but point still stands), it's cheap fried food. So as for the other lines, I can't speak in an up to date manner, but if you think RCCL or Norwegian's food has dropped some since, then Carnival is still better, with more options. MSC's food is just terrible. Bottom of the list. Carnival's entertainment is good overall and will also depend on the ship. You can stay busy or you can chill. No one is screaming at you to get up and boogie in the halls or quiet spaces.
  2. While inappropriate wear for the evening, yes, but this I find interesting "how inappropriate her attire was and that she looked like a hooker" Why? How? Would she have looked like a hooker poolside as well? If so, you just didn't like it at all, elegant night or not.
  3. "Cutoff jeans," not jeans entirely Punctuation matters
  4. If not for this forum, I wouldn't know what a PVP is, seriously. I've always taken care of it myself. I get my offers, go through, pick one I like and that's it. I do my homework. I don't really get a lot of options with offers, but if you look around you can occasionally trip over extras like spa balconies or aft-balconies with the usual balcony offers. If I have an issue or question, I call the regular number and talk to them. If they can resolve it, cool, if not they send me over to the casino people.
  5. I understand your thinking, but I don't believe it plays a part. IMO, it was a customer dissatisfaction issue as well as the previously mentioned revenue drop in certain areas like spa sales, drink of day, and the gift shops
  6. There is Uber in Australia and here's the link to Uber in Brisbane - https://www.uber.com/global/en/cities/brisbane/ That's our plan. We'll just Uber to hotel and then port in the morning. Now, if you see these people, run....they're terrible, terrible people (Wife and I in San Juan last month)
  7. I'm sure it was. But for what's their specialty restaurant, they can upscale it a little.
  8. I am sorry, but this presentation disappoints me. Looks like something from Chili's or Carrabbas. This could have easily been dressed up a little better. Maybe a larger tomato sauce bed, couple sliced cherry tomatoes, a single large basil leaf, a few balsamic drops? Looks lazy Took a piece of fried patty chicken, tossed a slice of cheese, under the broiler/salamander and that's it
  9. That's old now. If you like that, you'll like things the "Piggies" games or similar. Sounds like you might also like something like Wolf Run. Just keep in mind with the newer machines, it's more about the bonus games than any individual spin win.
  10. You're not alone. At first the newer machines are super intimidating. I have found that if you spend a little time, play down $ wise, and learn the machine. Many all rely on some sort of bonus game system. You're literally playing for the bonus, it's what keeps you alive....or ahead. The short cruises don't allow you enough time to learn the ship and get comfortable
  11. I realized today that the Australian Formula 1 Gran Prix will be in Melbourne that same weekend. Whole thing might be like a national holiday or something, even though it's in Melbourne. May make bars and pubs very busy
  12. Not alone. Not a big fan. They're ok, not great. and that stupid menu gives me a headache trying decode it.
  13. It is inappropriate for them to discuss their wages with customers.
