  1. Shuttle to the port is $9 PP sign up night before. 10.11.12.1 Airport to the hotel is Avanti 954-655-1376. Call when you have your luggage and he will be there in 10-12 min. $8 PP I was quoted for 2. Might be less PP for more I am not sure you can call and ask. Do not use a Cab they have gotten really bad at trying to overcharge.
  2. The hotel has a private company doing airport pick ups. It is called Avanti Shuttle. It is $8 p.p. I was quoted $16 for 2. Might be less P.P. for more than 2 , as I am not sure, you can call any time for a quote. 1-954-655-1376. She said once you have your luggage, call the # and it will be 10-12 min for the driver to show up. Usually he is sitting at the hotel waiting to take passengers to the airport. We have always used them and are very professional. Used a cab once 2 years ago and he tried to charge me $50 from the port to Hyatt Place, less than 1 mile. I grabed my luggage and tossed him a $20 and walked into the hotel.
  3. Was there about 3 years ago. Typical H.I. We like Hyatt Place west of H.I. behind Embassy Suites 1 block.
  4. That's great news Ashland, What ship are you cruising in May. We are on a Princess 10 day May 20th.
  5. My 490 year old son is taking his 5 year old on a Carnival cruise this September. Thanks.
  6. Are there any shuttles from Port of Miami to Miami airport with child seats for a 5 year old.
  7. Exactly, nothing to worry about. You will get an email. some times it takes a while. You can always just check with the hotel for conformation. We have used V.T. 6-7 times over the past 10 or so years. Never had a problem. You are not charged until you stay. We have May 18,19 pre cruise, and May 31 , June 1, booked with them for our 10 day Princess cruise.
  8. No need to shuttle, the port is less than 3 miles. 10 min ride in a cab, uber ,or lift. Your choice.
  9. Hyatt Place is our go to hotel in this area. Been to most on 17th. St. Hoilday Inn is fine also, we just like H.P. better. Both are very close to Publics in the Harbor Shops off 17Th. St. H. P. is also much cheaper if you book thru. ( Valutrips.com. ) From May - November it is only $ 109 & $119 a night before taxes. Most hotels are around $180- 250 this time a year.
  10. Thank You everyone!!!! Going to book the Hampton Inn Brickell.
  11. Hyatt Place on SE. 10Th. St. or Riverside down town. Embassy Suites is a dump. Every other hotel on 17TH,ST, is nicer than E.S.
  12. Last time we left H.P. walked down 10 min before boarding, got on shuttle at 11.00 went straight to our ship. was at the port in 10 min. They have multiple shuttles for ships at this location. No standing around waiting for an uber just to save $5. To each his own.
  13. I have been looking for a post cruise stay and Hampton Inn B.L. area looks to be all fast food.
  14. Just wanting to hear from others what they liked and did not like. Tired of reading reviews. Looking for good suggestions firsthand, good or bad. Have not been out of Miami in about 12 years. Nothing special, just what was clean, had a good time there, ect. Post up!!!!!!
  15. Valutrips.com for a stay at Hyatt Place on se10th.St. just off 17th. St. behind Embassy Suites. Fri, and Sat, thru V.T. is a considerable discount. $119 a night. We are staying there in May pre and post cruise, and have been using V.T. over 5-6 times in the past for this hotel. They also have a parking package at the hotel, not sure if it is available if you use V.T. for your stay. I would contact the hotel to find out. Most hotels in the area are $180 a night or more.
  16. Got our on board credit $100 just last week for our May 10 day cruise on Emerald.
  17. We have an October cruise coming up and are staying Pre Cruise at the Yotel. Looking for recommendation on a Post cruise hotel for 1 day. Have not cruised out of Miami in over 12 years and have stayed at the Intercontinental and Holiday Inn in the past. Just looking for suggestions on what you like and ones you have not liked. Not concerned on price. Thank you.
  18. It does happen if they are filled up. I would try Trivago.
  19. It is about 25 miles and 45 min ride. Have done it a few times.
  20. Margaritaville $$$$$$ I have cruised for $400 PP for 6 nights in the past let alone 1 night stay. OUCH!!!!!
  21. No, but it is considerably less expensive as booking with the hotel, and others in the area.
  22. What dates are the 2 of you trying to get? They have blackout dates on the bottom of the page. Post your dates. Sometimes they can be very slow to get back to you.
