  1. I believe the Celebrity app will show current ship time. I leave my phone in airplane mode. When in port you will want to be sure you know ships time and many like to bring a normal watch (not a smart watch) for this purpose. 2. Regarding World Wine Tour, we book this all the time and it does not show up on the app frequently. It is usually on a sea day and you can just go to Cellar Masters when you get onboard and ask them what day and time. If for some reason it is cancelled you will get a refund. You may have to talk to Guest Services though.
  2. Thanks everyone! I appreciate the help. Someday we will sail with HAL, it just hasn't worked out yet.
  3. I'm trying to answer questions for a friend who is new to cruising and looking at a HAL cruise. It appears that gratuities are not part of the Have It All promotion, correct? I have only sailed Celebrity so far and gratuities are included in the All Included rate but no shore excursion or specialty dining $. Thanks for your help!!
  4. I am trying to help my cousin and his wife plan their first cruise. They are looking at Koningsdam in November. My cousin is very tall (about 6'5" maybe a bit taller) and has issues with pain at night that requires him to sleep in more of a sitting position or propped up quite a bit (they have an adjustable bed at home). I have never cruised with HAL before but I know the sofas in the balcony rooms on Celebrity have very small sofas so with his height, that would not work. My first thought is to have them have beds set up as twins so he can prop up, but I was wondering if anyone else has had a situation like this and was there some accommodation that HAL was able to make. I'm also thinking either an accessible room or even a suite of some sort (but that would be cost dependent). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  5. Just jumping into this Live now. I have a dear friend that is boarding today. I'll be reading this so I can see the fun that she is having!! Thanks for sharing.
  6. So it appears you're 3 year old is the only person that is booked for this cabana. Are you going to let your 3 year old be there alone? What will you be doing? I'm sorry but this makes no sense to me.
  7. Thank you to the OP for posting this question. So much great information here. We will be doing our Med. Cruise June 2024. I have wanted to see Cinque Terre for years (both my daughters went to Europe in high school and spent several days in Riomaggiore). I like the idea of the ferry from La Spezia. I have saved this thread for future reference. Thanks again.
  8. There is a live review currently for the cruise prior to your (Australia) and then your cruise. This is mentioned in his 2nd post. Testing Requirements Clear as Mud for Hawaii to Vancouver. He may be able to answer your question regarding boarding in Hawaii.
  9. We are neither Elite (we're Select) and stay in regular balcony rooms. We've been invited to helipad sailaway twice. I believe it is just random.
  10. We've been invited twice out of our 9 cruises on Celebrity. We are just Select and book regular balcony cabins. I really do think it is just luck of the draw thing.
  11. Thanks for the information!! Very helpful!!
  12. We are looking into doing a Mediterranean cruise next year (possibly May/June or Sept/Oct). We have only cruised Celebrity so far but I am looking at all options. I am looking for the best itinerary for our needs since this is a bucket list cruise. I've noticed that for HAL, the only ship in the Med is the Oosterdam. Is this normal for HAL or have they not released all Med cruised for next year. Other lines (Celebrity, NCL, Princess, etc...) seem to have multiple ships in the area. Thanks for any help you can give. Kelly
  13. Another great site that I just learned about it CruisePlum. They do not book any travel. They have a search engine that you can filter for date, cruiseline, ship, price, price per day, etc...
  14. We just got off Millie last Saturday. Our favorite is Cellar Masters. Marren is amazing. She was there last year when we cruised also. Yes, full bar and wine bar. I mentioned to Marren that I used to love the Pineapple Ginger Mojito that Celebrity used to have years ago. The next evening when we got to Cellar Masters she made me on (with fresh ginger!!). Marren is an amazing mixologist and can make anything you want. Many people come to her and just ask for her to make "something". She always comes up with an amazing drink!!
  15. Thanks for sharing. We board that lovely ship this Saturday!! I night pre cruise in San Juan and 3 nights post cruise.
  16. If you bring corked wines, get these stoppers the do not leak. I keep them in my house and motorhome. Rabbit Wine Stoppers
  17. I believe so. Just go on their website.
  18. We've done both the regular tour and the rum tasting tour. Trust me, you want to do the rum tasting tour. I highly recommend it!
  19. Thanks everyone for the information. Much appreciated.
  20. Is there somewhere online that one can link their MGM rewards # and Celebrity Captains Club #? Or do you have to do it at the MGM Rewards desk or call? Thanks
  21. I know Celebrity often has issues with it's website. I logged in the other day and my Captains Club status shows 0 points (we've taken 8 cruises I believe) and no previous cruises. I have emailed Captains Club for them to look at this but I know it could take a while for a response. Anyone else having this issue? Sorry, just saw that there is another thread for this issue.
  22. I get that! I got us a 6:30 time (which is actually a bit early for us) but we're sailing out of San Juan so sail away isn't until 8:30.
