  1. I realize many are interested in fares….posted this in a other thread…
  2. Log into your NCL account. Choose your. cruise. You should see a link for eDocs.
  3. I watched Vibe price rise. Fact is, NCL kept raising the price, and it still sold out. It still sells out, at current Vibe prices. Once the Vibe gets to the price point where they don’t sell out, prices will drop! Not sure I would get a dozen shrimp from room service. There are better venues and cheaper options for a dozen shrimp!
  4. This is a bit sideways from a reviews, but it does have cruise implications for any cruise line (and general good health). I know some buy or bring bottled water on board. I’m not one of those. I have seen NCL’s filtration systems. I think their water is probably more pristine than what you get in any bottled water. NCL sells “boxed” water if you still want to buy water. This information has been hitting the news outlets….FYI! https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/bottled-water-nanoplastics-up-to-100-times-more-plastic-pnas/
  5. 7 Days-Western Caribbean Sailing out of Galveston on February 2, 2024. It sold out almost a month ago!
  6. This is on the Prima in an HE Haven Suite sailing in less than 3 weeks! Just have to shop some. The deals are out there. But, it’s like looking for anything. A little work nets some good fares!
  7. I think it might depend on where you live. Just saw a CPI for the Midwest where inflation is sitting right around 3.7%. So, your numbers are…well…off! Personally, I just bought a new Accord! It cost about 5% more than my 2019. But, it’s a hybrid! And in 2019, hybrid’s cost more. Gas in my burg is running about what I paid 5 years ago. They did go up during Covid, but have dropped back to normal! I do believe you have to shop a little more to get cruise deals, but I’ve been able to find them! I just think NCL is offering different coupons and incentives and ways to impact fares (cruise next, cruise first). They can really drop cruise fares. I just think it’s a different way to get good fares vs just posting them on the web site!
  8. Received mine the same way...corporate "swag". Been using it for many years. Very useful.
  9. THE ALMIGHTY FOLDER…keeper of all the paper copies of everything I have digitally. Back up of EVERYTHING….including a copy of my passport.
  10. Thanks! There's nothing I think I'd want outside of these choices. Bulliet, Buffalo Trace, 1792, Tangurey, Bombay Sapphire, Kettle One, Titos, Blue Moon, Stella, Peroni.
  11. 2nd those sentiments, wholeheartedly. And, the experience starts before you even board. The pre-cruise concierge will make your reservations for you, make note of your snack and bedding preferences, etc. Quite frankly it's the best cruise experience I've ever had. And, that includes the other "luxury" cruise experiences I've had on MSC's YC and Celebrity's Retreat. Those were by no means bad. It's just NCL seems to have the magic sauce that makes cruising the Haven so special. I will qualify that by stating I've seen some crazy fares people have paid. There's a limit to what I'll spend for the Haven. My rule of thumb is less than $5K/Haven Cabin...all in. Truthfully, I've never paid more than about $4,700 all in for a Haven Cabin. And, I've stayed in the Haven on the Epic, Breakaway, Getaway, and in a few weeks, the Prima. Those are all some of the nicest Havens in the entire fleet. I know the other luxury cruise lines can't compete for such a good cruising experience at those fares. Not close. I've looked....a lot! Now, I can't always sail the Haven because of the fare on a ship/itinerary/time of year I want. But, if my self imposed fare limits fit, I'm in the Haven!
  12. Just got this notice, too. Sailed the Epic in the Mediterranean last October. It was mostly Euros and Dollar exchanges at Customer Service. But, I saw people trying to exchange Canadian Dollars, Pounds and Yen, too. I would think that's a real PITA to update the exchange rates of different currencies every cruise. And, to keep 10s of Thousands on hand for each currency to do exchanges. Heck, my own bank takes a couple of days to get a different currency in when I request it (like Euros). NCL just didn't have enough foreign (non dollar) currency on hand to exchange more than a few hundred for me. It makes more sense to use credit cards and U.S. dollars only....for both the guest and the cruise line. That being said, I would imagine they could add a surcharge for exchanges or give unfavorable exchange rates. So, from that perspective I'm surprised they don't try to make it a revenue stream. But, in reality, the U.S. Dollar is the universal monetary currency now, anyway.

  14. Customer Service on board my Mediterranean cruise said they didn’t have Euros to exchange for my Dollars. Thought that was weird given all the ports we visited accepted Euros as their main currency. Sounds like it’s Dollars or nothing no matter where they cruise!
  15. Just received this..kind of figured this was going to happen given I could not get euros last October while on board. Dollars or nothing! IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOREIGN CURRENCY EXCHANGE SERVICE DISCONTINUATION Dear Valued Guests and Travel Partners, Thank you for choosing to sail with us for your upcoming cruise vacation. We have important information to share, and travel partners are asked to share this information with impacted guests. If you are in need of US currency for your upcoming cruise, we encourage you to obtain it prior to embarkation. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. As always, we are at your service and look forward to providing you with a truly memorable onboard experience! Sincerely, Norwegian Cruise Line Please do not reply to this email.
  16. Oh yes she does!!!! 😉
  17. I’ve learned to say “yes M’am” and “no M’am” whenever the GF tells me what to say. I’m very low maintenance!
  18. Awwwrright....how about the biscuit batter?
  19. Anyone want to discuss formal wear?
  20. Now, I'm peaking around corners before I walk into a room. Thanks...thanks a lot!!!!! LOL!
  21. It is...it's a conspiracy. LOL! I know some had an issue with Windows machines. I use a Mac. It's usually pretty easy-peezy. Today, NCL's WEB site on my end has been funky with Safari. They're selling out their cruises. Might want to invest in a wee-little bit on WEB site infrastructure given a lot of their communications are done that way.
  22. Same here. I have started checking in later and later. Prefer not to mill about the port waiting for an hour or more. To me, that's not fun.
