Try to see if hotel will allow you late check out. If not, it's much more comfortable waiting in hotel lobby for an hour then standing in a line possibly at the port.

It really isn't if you plan well. Especially with a 10pm flight. We saw the buses from the cruise ship and were thankful we chose a DIY. As were others we saw.

You take an uber or lyft to car rental, keep luggage in trunk, explore Kennedy, drop off car at airport. We saw people from Germany doing the same as us.

They were ok. Not as good as Butcher's.

We were booked on this back in January but it was unfortunately canceled that am due to choppy conditions. We have rebooked for an upcoming trip in November. I cannot stress how nice and responsive the online staff has been with me. I had accidentally booked the beach day instead of the snorkeling for November and Bernique the rep said "let's wait and see what conditions are so at least you can enjoy beach. If its good to go, we will add a snorkeling for you".

I have now that we are turning 60 this year on a couple of snorkeling excursions. My answer is to give my truth on what age I think I am (if that makes sense).

There are a few YouTube videos and social media postings. I'd forward those that may help make your case. Also if you are on a 3 or 4 day sailing, chances are pretty high you will be with a fun crowd then on an 8 day and above. If you get what I'm saying.

Probably too late for you but routers do work on MSC and quite well once you get connected. It's trial and error.

I actually thought about both Uxmal and Chichen itza and decided to change my tour using YucatanCenote Eco tours. I think the ship excursion will be too much with the crowds. Opted to do a private tour for just my husband and I to Uxmal, lunch with a local family and then snorkeling in a cenote. I think we will enjoy this more.

I too do not recommend mainland from Cozumel unless one really wants to see the ruins and it's the only option. As you can see by my post, we did the D and K ruins from Costa Maya. And we used Native Choice as well for Chacchoben as I also pointed out. The excursion I chose for Chichen itza includes the cenote. We have been to the Yucatan many times and never made it to Chichen itza. Since we will be there in December and Progreso as a port just doesn't interest us with the selections, we opted to finally visit mainly to cross off of our bucket list finally.

Is this just a question for how much to tip or for port days? For port days, if we are on our own, we usually do $100 per island plus the credit card as you never know. If we do a non ship excursion, 50% of the time it's cash only so we also include a 20% tip of whatever the excursion was since the gratuities are not included. Those days I also bring $100 on top of the budgeted tour.

Not sure how long you are in port but IF over 8 hours, do the ruins for 4-5 hrs then head over to Mahahual and get one of the boats there to take you out on a quick snorkeling tour for an hour. Good way to cool off. You may even ask Native if they can drop you off around there.

We did D and K through the ship rom Costa Maya as well as Chacchoben via Native tours. I preferred the Native Choice solely because of the travel time. I would not recommend d and k together as we were rushed, had a poor guide, ride is long. We have been to Tulum on a land vacation visit on our own and liked it but it was years ago. In December, we are going to be in Progreso on a port stop and are actually visiting Chitchen Itza plus a Cenote also via the ship. Its our 1st time to both port and landmark. It appears to be slightly less travel than Cozumel or Costa Maya. We have also looked into an excursion with a flight to Chichen itza.

Yes, but can't remember where in NYC. I do remember the courses were amazing and there were at least 7. I could barely walk out from food and wine. I was trying to sip but it clearly didn't work.

So you are looking at close to $500 for a dinner. Wow! As I mentioned before I have done dinners similar to this (Brendan's in Houston) but it was nowhere near the price that Im seeing here. And from the answers I'm seeing, I would guess not many people would pay that out of pocket.

You said you had the drink package. You didn't have to pay as it was covered under your premium drink package. IF I was to do this I would have to pay for the wine pairing as I do not have a drink package. So on top of the price, we would be charged for the wine pairing.
