  1. On our cruise on QM2 last year we received auto upgrade even though we had asked for no upgrade when booking. We didn't know until we checked in and printed off luggage labels and boarding pass was different cabin than luggage label. Initially wasn't happy rang TA confused which cabin was right luggage label or boarding pass. TA rang Cunard who confirmed we had been upgraded even after asking for no upgrade on booking. After checking upgraded cabin accepted because it was such a good upgrade.
  2. Sorry if this has been asked before have done a search but cannot find an answer. Can anyone tell me which dining room has tablecloths for evening meal.
  3. Never been able to print luggage labels on my Android phone using Chrome but go on my laptop using Microsoft Edge and they have always been available to print.
  4. Gutted that QA arrives into Southampton on 27th. We are returning to Southampton on the 28th on Arvia and hoped her arrival would be that day. We had planned to disembark Arvia and stay in Southampton for QAs arrival. Will just have to be satisfied with hopefully a quick glance as we pass Mayflower on our way home.
  5. Is that because of your mindset before you are even on the ship that the staff are happier and it is a happier ship because you love QV. Personally we prefer QM2 but that is nothing to do with happier staff or happier ship. Honestly can say that we have found no difference on any of the ships as all are equal.
  6. Well having cruised on all current Cunard ships have never found any staff more happier on any ship compared to others.
  7. Of the choice of the two QV/QE we personally prefer QE than QV but don't there is not a lot of difference. Like has previously said access from Southampton means we have to sail on QV in the past. With regards to staff never noticed any difference on any of the ships, including QM2, as they are all excellent. General staff waiters, bar staff, cabin stewards etc tend to move around ships anyway so never understood that QV staff are any better than other ships.
  8. We received an e mail with offer to upgrade on our December Canaries cruise last year. We were in PG and we bid for QG even though the grade we bid for was showing as sold out. We then received an e mail some time later saying we had been successful with our bid and giving new suite number. Don't know how it works but should imagine they send out upgrade e mails just in case they have any late cancellations.
  9. Had an OK cruise on Oceans moreso because of people we met onboard rather than the ship. Oriana never liked the ship and certainly didn't shed a tear when she was sold.
  10. 25ml is the standard serving of a spirit in any licensed bar or hotel in the UK.
  11. E-mail direct to chief executive office with your complaint and how it has been dealt with.
  12. But I do not think the price quoted by Mysticalmother was for 1 nt pre cruise and 16 NTS parking for £152. I think she was being charged £152 for parking as she was staying pre cruise but that was not included in that price.
  13. But even if you just pay for parking at Elizabeth House and do not stay pre cruise at £180 for 15 days is not cheap. At £225 for 1nt pre cruise breakfast, 15 days parking and return taxis at Chilworth Manor is excellent value for money.
  14. You shouldn't have to ask they should do it automatically that is what they are paid commission for.
  15. No it hasn't changed or at least it hadn't in November last year.
  16. If you apply for shareholder benefit then the cruise line issues a new invoice including benefit to TA. It is not the TA who issues new invoice just forward it on and should do that automatically if yours doesn't do that then I would get a new TA.
  17. If Shareholder OBC benefit is about to be ended in July, which nobody officially knows it is all guesswork. Why have Carnival negotiated a contract to administer applications for benefit with Stockperks if they are going to end paying benefits.
  18. The main issue with pre authorisation on cards is more of an issue on debit cards rather than credit cards unless you go over your card limit.
  19. The price quoted by Elizabeth House in July for 1nt pre cruise and 14nts parking is £373.50 which is a considerable amount. You have to price 1nt stay and parking separately and then add together to get inclusive price. £193.50 for room and £180 just for parking.
  20. Searched for pre cruise stay in hotel and for parking included and couldn't find anyone near £152.
  21. That is expensive when you can use an established and highly reviewed meet and greet at port where they take your car to their secure compound close to docks and return your car to terminal. Parking4Cruises is virtually the same and only charges £130-£140 for 14 NTS and is virtually the same as CPS.
  22. You don't have to but coffee/tea you can help yourself free from the machines in restaurant.
  23. No need can stay at HIE and get free coffee/tea.
  24. No problem you can check out of your room by 11am and then sit in small area or dining area nr reception for as long as you want. You can also get coffee/tea free from machines in restaurant. We sat there until 1pm last year with no problems and some Americans who also stayed at hotel didn't have a boarding time until 3pm and we're staying in hotel.
