  1. Yes you will be able to get shareholder benefit if you have booked a normal cruise fare with a small TA discount which is given from their commission and nothing to do with Carnival.
  2. You may have to check out of your room but not the hotel. We regularly stay at HIE just off M271 and have often say on lounge/restaurant area and even been allowed free tea/coffee.
  3. Happened to us a while back we got right drinks, wrong card and wrong bill which I checked, as always, and refused to sign it. Unfortunately now you don't get a receipt to sign and check.
  4. See my response to your other post about this subject. That is why you are better to register a credit card rather than debit card.
  5. If you used a debit card to pay your final bill then they are "holds" that P&O, other cruise lines and hotels put on your card to make sure your final bill came be paid. They will eventually drop off without payment but can take a while. That is why it is always best to register a credit card instead of debit to pay your final bill.
  6. Just shows how penny pinching Cunard are prepared to go if it is true.
  7. Horses for courses we are all different and we all have our own favourite ships for varying reasons. For us QM2 is our favourite ship of all ships we have sailed on and love the roundtrip TAs on her. With reference to Cunard IMO the order of favourite ships are 1) QM2 2) QE 3) QV, we will wait until after July 2024 to see where QA fits in.
  8. Unfortunately you were badly advised by your TA as it clearly states on P&O website that guests taking mobility scooters on a cruise must book an accessible cabin, mini-suite or suite. They also be a maximum size of 120cms. My advise is get a better cruise specialist TA next time you book.
  9. I would mention again to reception and that the corridors are means of escape and should not be blocked or have obstruction and that they are contravening fire regulations.
  10. Just mention it to reception and I am sure the occupants of cabin will be informed not to leave them there.
  11. Think it has been on operation for a long while and nothing new. The reasoning is lack of space in ordinary cabins so in the past people left scooters outside their cabins in the corridors. This is of course creates a problem of access then in an emergency because corridors areas are means of escape. For that reasoning if you take a scooter onboard you have to book accessible room so there is room to store scooter.
  12. Every time I have used Freedom/Anytime/Open dining on Princess, P&O and Cunard when you turn up to MDR they always ask you your cabin number and check on the computer. So they must be checking what you have booked.
  13. No it is one or the other you cannot mix at your leisure
  14. I struggled getting a refund from a cruise cancelled during the pandemic and after many months waiting and finally threatening legal action finally received a refund. Unfortunately they refunded me direct to credit card and the 2 days later received a cheque so reimbursed twice. The trying to refund overpayment was even harder. Was told to send a cheque to an address which was never cashed and then months later was told to send another cheque which was cashed. Was this the end of the matter unfortunately not after my second cheque was cashed, which meant I had received correct refund and repaid the correct payment in which Cunard had overpaid me, they then the following week sent me a nasty letter threatening legal action for an amount owed to. Cunard which was even higher than the cruise cost. Very poor and awful service from Cunard of which there is no excuse.
  15. We had the same on our roundtrip TA Sou-NY-Sou in May which was booked as one booking so it seems normal practice.
  16. That is what everyone says but not everyone lives in London and we all know prices in London are a rip off. That doesn't mean Cunard should charge the same as they don't pay VAT and purchase their drinks all duty free.
  17. Depends what you drink and what bar. If you are a beer drinker the choice in Brodie's or similar on P&O are far superior, far cheaper and far more choice than any of the bars on any Cunard ship even including Golden Lion. Not everyone wants or can afford £20 cocktails.
  18. I don't like to use my phone on holiday but it wasn't a problem just to get it out of the safe while getting showered and dressed for dinner then at last minute join virtual queue. Put it in my pocket and 99% of time buzzed before reaching restaurant then turned phone off and put back in pocket. It was no great problem and very easy to use.
  19. On March on Iona we used My Holiday we just joined virtual queue for MDR on leaving the cabin and by the time we got the lift and walked to restaurant it had buzzed saying our table was ready. Excellent service throughout the cruise.
  20. Found it and mine is correct but as far as my personal details regarding my insurance company they are wrong. They have got me down as with Staysure which I haven't been for a couple of years. Been on at least 3 cruises with new insurance company details filled in as recent as May but is incorrect.
  21. Can anyone who is on or recently been on Arvia tell me on a 14 nt cruise whether they have 2 menus or is it the same one all the time in Sindhu. On Iona in March and it was the same menu for the whole cruise. TIA.
  22. You do get a discount for the King's Court alternative dining of you book pre cruise You pay $20pp instead of $25pp if you book pre cruise, or you do at least on QM2.
  23. Cannot rollover OBC from one cruise to other. If you use all OBC on first cruise and have a cash balance it will be charged to your credit/debit card at end of first cruise.
  24. I don't think I would be allowed anywhere for breakfast if I was wearing what I wear in bed at night 😅😅
