  1. What time is early traditional dining on Serenade. The TA site I use for my research says 6 PM, which would be OK, but I seem to recall reading here that it is earlier. We usually book Anytime but I understand that Anytime on Serenade is a mess and I would be better off with Traditional (which I have not done in years.)πŸ€”
  2. My understanding is that only the butler and concierge are not included.....the rest are.
  3. When we were on Seashore (Oct.) a couple asked if they could walk in with us, to "look around, because they're thinking of booking the YC on their next trip." We told them No, but I doubt this was the only incident. They also asked us on Deck 18, where they would not have to walk by the Concierges. On Seaside there was talk of a side door with a broken lock that people could get into the YC pool deck. Now I know Management was aware of this, because several people said they brought it to their attention on different sailings.
  4. Outstanding review. If we are fortunate enough to go on Prima in the Haven we'll be coming back to this review!πŸ‘
  5. I registered on-line but fully expected it not to take. So on the second day I checked with our Concierge in the YC and I was shocked to see that it did, indeed, register. So, if you are not in the YC, you could pick a time at Guest Relations when the line isn't too long and ask there.
  6. Does being in a suite help at all? Since there is no suite restaurant.
  7. Thanks for your post. However, what you didn't mind, we would. Waiting in line for 20 minutes would seem endless to us. My Time dining is not new. They should be able to figure this out. No excuse for this every night imo. So I guess the other alternative is Traditional dining and having dinner at 5:30 (5:15?) at a table right next to your neighbor.🀨
  8. What time is traditional first? Did you enjoy your cruise? How was Serenade's overall condition?
  9. Thanks....then what do you suggest if we like to have dinner on the early side? Tradiitional?
  10. How does My Time Dining work on Serenade? I have not been on Royal for a few years. Is it like it was a few years ago? Mainly you can just show up .....or..... make reservations? How early can the reservations be made? I have read a few threads where My Time reservations don't even start until 7 or so. Don't know if this applies to a smaller ship like Serenade.
  11. I did a quick Search and all I could find was that "jr. suites are very nice on Odyssey...two bathrooms." Can anyone add anything else?
  12. It used to be that if you were in a suite on the Oasis-class you did not have to make reservations for the shows (with the exception of the comedy shows). Is this still the case? Also, do you need to make reservations for Coastal Kitchen, or just show up?
  13. Do Junior Suites board with the suites?
  14. Thanks for your review. I enjoyed reading it. Since when does Oasis of the Seas tender? I always thought Oasis-class ships never tender.πŸ€”
  15. Haven't read all the posts, but most of them. Something very similar happened to us on Divina in the Yacht Club. We were on our balcony, like we always are at sail-away. Our next door neighbor had a boom box with a tape in it of his band (playing Cuban salsa). "Oooo I love this song" he said, playing it full blast. After awhile I went inside. My dh asked the guy if he could turn it down since I wasn't feeling well (not true). He said "Let me know when you leave, so I can crank it up." I really thought this was going to be a problem. But it wasn't. We never saw or heard them again.πŸ‘
  16. Splash of Water, Generally, we don't book ships that are as old as Dawn. However, DH really wants to cruise out of Tampa again. We live much closer to Tampa and it seems we're always traveling to other ports rather than taking advantage of its closeness. So I'm going to ask you to look into your crystal ball. I'm looking at booking during the Easter holiday. (either April 2 or 9). Do you think Dawn will attract a lot of children? .... not a fair question since you were just on her for 13 days and we'll only be on her for 7. But can you just guess for me?
  17. Dressy sandals for me, too. My closet is full of barely-worn, cruise only heels (we live in Florida....flip flops all year round). Can't wear those heels anymore!
  18. What ship are you on? (Maybe all the kids will be on your cruise😏.)
  19. Thanks everyone. There was a lot of very good information in these posts. I will not be booking these two cabins!
  20. Last year I went during Easter-time on Joy and it was chaos. However, Escape had just had its "accident" and some people were transferred to our sailing. One year I went during Easter time on Celebrity....mainly because the rates were great, and it was a brand new ship (at the time). I figured we'd just put up with the kids. However, there were less than 30 kids total on the cruise. I realize this was Celebrity, though. One thing I didn't mention was the ship I'm considering is Dawn. It's old, and doesn't have a lot of the activities that would attract kids. Do you think this would make a difference?
  21. Easter in 2023 will be on April 9. Which week do you think will have the most kids? April 2 - 9 ? or April 9 - 16?
  22. I went on you tube, but this was the only one I could find.
  23. I preferred the Yacht Club to the Haven. Number 1 reason was the pool. I don't like indoor pools, and the YC is outside. I also liked that they never asked for a room card while in the YC. I loved the Top Sail lounge, especially at night with light entertainment. I though I'd have enough to choose from in the Haven restaurant to not get bored with the same menu every night....but I did. DH, on the other hand, had lobster every night and still talks about that! In the YC you don't have to upgrade your drink package to get water! Sounds like I didn't like the Haven...but I did. Just prefer the YC more. However, Prima has an outdoor pool, so that'll be one of my next bookings. 😊
