We are on Symphony. Can we wait till we're on board to make specialty dining reservations so we can use our OBC?
Don't know if Symphony's specialties tend to get booked early.
We are in a suite, if that matters.

We like being near the elevators.

Unfortunately, DH thinks his Highlander is a Rolls Royce and doesn't want an attendant driving it.
So we always park in the garage.

In line for dinner. It's pure chaos.
I'm thinking of booking Connie, leaving from Tampa.
What would you suggest we do to avoid this ? (the chaos)

It is pretty crazy at night, but not at all during the day.
We were on a cruise that came in on Sunday night and stayed till Wednesday. Wednesday is Ash Wednesday and Mardi Gras is over and it's pretty normal then.
Many of the parades are also family friendly.

I just found a cruise on Constellation next year over Mardi Gras that stays in NOLA for three days!
Off to do research!😉

Thanks for responding.
I'd really like to spend more time in NOLA. We went on a Celebrity cruise a few years ago and we spent two (maybe three) days there. We went to the WWII museum for almost one full day.
It was around Mardi Gras, so about the same time of year as your cruise. It was really cold though.
We arrived there around 7:30PM so I was really looking forward to cruising up the Mississippi, but it got really foggy and we ended up seeing very little. In fact, we passed a Carnival ship that was leaving and although we were very close, we almost couldn't see her.
We do love New Orleans!

How long were you in New Orleans?
What did you do there?

Some day creams contain a sunscreen that I read "somewhere" you shouldn't leave on your face at night.

What shows have a suite reserved area for Symphony of the Seas?
How late can you arrive ? Where in the theaters are the areas located?

For whatever reason, Beyond seems to have more cabin noise issues than Edge.
What about Apex and Ascent?

My fear is I will be to late and the parking on site will fill up
Thanks for the helpful advice. We have decided to drive down the day before and spend 5he night at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami.
Going the day before is a good plan.
We live in Punta Gorda and usually drive down the same day for Miami and Ft.L. We leave here around 7:30.

My cruise is on Symphony April 28. I know I have to start looking to make reservations for shows sometime around the first of the preceding month (that would be today). That's the when.
Where do I do this on the cruise planner? Is it pretty obvious, or do I have to go hunting for it?

Is it ship-wide or just Haven?
Ship-wide doesn't have lobster tails every night. Haven does. Haven's restaurant has the same menu every night. However, that menu has lobster on it (prime rib, filet, and lobster tails).
Those tails are pretty small, so ordering two was hardly gluttonesque (sp?) and the waiters would often prompt people to order more.

. We switched over to MSC because we had a reservation at 6 pm in the Coastal Kitchen for dinner and had to wait because a Pinnacle couple had taken our table that were not paying for a suite.
I could see this happening. I don't blame you for switching.

Just realized this OP posted this Twice and there are two active threads. Maybe mods can merge them?
There's also a thread over on NCL stating that the Haven is limiting lobster to one per person with a $25 charge for each additional.

We've been in suites on Norwegian, but the Haven only once, on Joy. We never waited for a table, always got a window seat, but we did eat earlier than 6:30.
MSC's Yacht Club never had a wait for us.
-
I'm sort of surprised about having to wait 30 minutes to be seated in the Haven restaurant.
Wouldn't like that.

Didn't I just see this same question by the same poster on another forum?
I'm originally from NJ. Most people from there are nice, generous people. Unfortunately, OP doesn't seem to be.

We always add extra, as you do to the butler, concierge, waiters and bar staff. It seems others do also.

Did you experience any noise (especially at night) in the walls, ceiling of the ship?
-
I was just on and it was OK for me.
-
Thanks for your review. I enjoyed reading it.
I was glad that you had no noise issues. Actually, I don't remember reading about a "noisy ship" until Beyond. Apex did not seem to have a lot of issues. Am I wrong?
We have a lot of OBC, can we wait to make specialty dining reservations?

Do I have to pay then, or can I wait to use my OBC?
