We like going to the suite area on Labadee. Lots of shade and they usually have a nice buffet offering.
Is it just me? I found getting into the water on Labadee (the suite beach, I've forgotten the name, is it Barefoot) treacherous. I fell (flat on my face) getting in. The sand was very soft and at an incline. I watched and saw no one else fall, so it was just me that provided the comic relief that day, but now I hesitate to go back to the beach because of this.

I'd be interested in your opinion of Celebrity vs. Holland America.
I think you will still prefer X. But I could be wrong.😀

Looking forward to reading your review.
We are on Symphony in April, also in a Crown Loft Suite. Are you on the back or side?

If you called to tell them your preferences, do you have to call again (each time you cruise).
Our first time as Diamond, we didn't receive anything.
The second time we did (water), but I had called before the cruise. Do I have to do this again? -
I know that many cruise lines only do room cleaning once a day.
However, I thought that suites were excluded from this.
We were recently on Rotterdam in a Vista A (I know, not really a suite....but). We were asked by our room steward if we wanted room cleaning once a day or twice.
I was sort of surprised we were asked this.

Orange border? I don't have that. Should I?
Did those of you who were Club Orange have an orange border?

We've only been in Fort Lauderdale since 2008, but I've never seen the port run out of parking. Normal "load" is 5 or 6 ships. Full capacity is 8.
I haven't worried about it either. Never gave it a thought.
Until now.....someone on our roll call posted that all the TV channels are cautioning about lack of parking.
And I believe the full capacity has already taken the parking spots. My cruise on Rotterdam is the only one of two coming back into the port on Friday.

Park n Go may already be full (it serves both the airport and cruise port).

Thanks but....
Many of those parking facilities (like Park N Go) are no longer taking reservations because they are full.
We prefer to park at the port and will probably try to time getting there at about the time most people are getting off Rotterdam and following them to their car (like we've seen people do in parking lots at Christmas-time.)
Do the hotels let you park there if you are not a guest?

Our cruise leaves this Friday (Nov. 24).
Someone on our roll call has stated that the TV stations in Ft. Lauderdale are cautioning people that parking at the port parking lots will be at a premium because of the holiday.
We're driving over from the west coast.
Haven't heard anything about this until today (our local TV station is just talking about parking in Ft. Myers airport.
Locals? What should we do?
-
Someone on our roll call mentioned that their news stations are saying that there may be a space problem at Ft. Everglades for parking.
This certainly doesn't help us. We live on the west coast and are driving over and always park at the port. Our local news stations have not talked about florida cruise parking at all (only Ft. Myers airport).
Now I'm worried.
Rotterdam leaves on Friday.
Suggestions?

Thanks everyone for helping me.❤️

I have the bar code. I just don't have the check in time. I do on a later one, but it's 12:20.
-
My cruise leaves on Friday.
I have printed my boarding pass with the bar code but it had no check in time "to be assigned."
Then, a few days later I got another, with a check in time of 12;20. I did not print this one because our boarding pass stated Priority because we are Club Orange.
Should I print this one? Or just go with the one with no time? The advice I have gotten is Ft. Lauderdale doesn't really go by boarding times anyway and Club Orange and Priority is all they will look at.

My dh lost about 70 lbs on Rybelsus. If you measure it by what was his highest, it's 100 lbs.
His AlC is 5.2 and he takes the Rybelsus every other day (and sometimes every third day).

The suite lounge and CK are basically one big room with CK on one side and SL on the other. Drinks are free at both locations during happy hour.
Your waiter in CK will bring your drinks.
When you say "drinks", do you mean wine and beer, or cocktails also?

Can't wait to read your trip report!

Anyone know which supermarket is the closest to the port?

That's what I was hoping for....thanks!

I find this very confusing.
If I am in a suite and in Coastal Kitchen for dinner, can I order a cocktail from the Suite Lounge (it'll be Happy Hour)? Or if I want it complimentary, do I have to get up from my table and physically order it from the suite lounge. My understanding is that the suite lounge and Coastal Kitchen are one big room.
