Barefoot, which we really like
I had a little mishap at Barefoot last year.
I was watching DH go into the water and I thought to myself "he's walking so gingerly, he looks like he's 90 years old!" Well, I went to go in and I was carrying a float. I put the float in the water and it sort of got away from me. I leaned forward to get it and I fell flat on my face. The sand was so soft under my feet I couldn't get a grip and get up without the assistance of the life guard. I was so embarassed!
I guess I provided the comic reflief for the day.
Does anyone else have a problem with the soft sand and the slope getting in the water?

What is the name of the suite beach?

Thanks for the reply, gizfish. I wondered about the noise from the fitness center and also about the spa. I wouldn't like it in the room either.

Thanks for your well-written review. I don't blame you for being upset.

Can you find out before you book if the Vibe is available?
Can your TA book it along with the cruise?

. There is a suite sundeck but it’s not close to pool and need to walk up stairs to get there .
Is this the case with Symphony also?
-
We were in the Haven on Joy and that hot tub on the sundeck didn't have bubbles either. We thought it was broken, but now it seems that's how NCL's hot tubs are. (I like bubbles).😔

If you go on Beyond do your research on what cabin you select. There are reports that Beyond is very noisy (creaks and bowling-ball sounds from within the walls). Not all cabins, but bring ear plugs just in case.

Have sailed in the Haven on the Breakaway, Getaway and Epic. Nothing at all bad about the "Away" ships Haven. But, the Epic's was better in every way. That said, it has just been refurbished, too.
I'm sure you'll love it.
PS...looking at my pics, again...I can still smell the Haven (all good) and remember all those I met and helped me while on board.
Isn't that balcony snakk

We didn't buy it in Aruba, because we ran out of time, But I know they have them, and the prices are best in the supermarkets.
We bought our Gouda in a store in Curacao. We bought a 10 lb/ wheel so, yes, it was wrapped in wax. We gave some to our neighbors. We came home on Dec. 4 and are just finishing it now. I think the price was about $40.

We usually get there between l0:30 and 11:00. Never had a problem finding a spot.

It is my understanding that the SVs on Deck 7 on the Beyond and Ascent are partially covered which would minimize any soot.
Don't they also have the largest balconies?

What stateroom type are you considering?
If you have questions about stateroom types, feel free to ask.
We were considering the Haven on Epic. I had read that it was, by far, the nicest.
However, the price for the Haven (an older ship, and not in the greatest shape) is higher than the Breakaway and Breakaway + ships. Also, I'd rather sail from Miami.

How is the Haven on Jade? Does it have its own restaurant?

I have only been on Wonder Anthem and Indi, and all of them were TITO like in vegas and take USD bills, your sea pass is only needed to either collect points or for room charges to gamble on the machine, I assume that's the same across all ships.
OK, thanks.
That's what we're most used to.
-
Are you required to insert your card at all? Can you not just put $ in? ...and get a TITO when you cash out? (I have a tendency to forget my card.)

Our directtv stopped showing ABC so I moved to Dish (Dish offered us 500 to switch)
We lost CBS a few years ago.
Temporarily lost NBC for about a month, but it's back now.

Captain Kate walks around with a bodyguard?

We'll be in Coastal Kitchen. How is the dining room lobster prepared if Coastal does poached? Broiled?
Which do most people like better?
-
Is there lobster night on a 6 night cruise on Symphony of the Seas?

As the Seascape creeps toward Miami with stabilizers extended I am enjoying the piped-in jazz and a pot of Twinings Earl Grey tea.
This is as close as we came to Ocean Cay, so add that to the list of reasons to seriously consider a future second booking in MSC Yacht Club. I was really looking forward to checking out MSC’s private island, but Mother Nature is not cooperating.
I am reflecting further on the comparison between this first-time MSC Yacht Club enclave experience, what we have become accustomed to in the S-class Retreat on two previous occasions, and what we might be in for starting tomorrow during our first M-class Retreat experience.
No has not been a very common answer to our requests including last night’s two glasses of Meiomi ordered in the Yacht Club Restaurant. Apparently it is available for purchase here by the bottle, but not offered by the glass. Although at Cocktail Bar on Deck 8 in Gen Pop, it is available by the glass and covered under our drink package. Well that does not make a whole lot of sense, does it? Needless to say we have not encountered any additional upcharges associated with wines that exceed the per glass package limit. If ordering above the limit, only the difference is charged as on Celebrity.
This morning Renuka greeted me in the hallway and proceeded to provide me with an elevator escort from 18 to TSL on 20. The YC has a single elevator within the enclave that only travels between 16, 18, 19, and 20. Anyway I told her I was actually heading for Marketplace Buffet for coffee. The look on her face seemed to ask why are you going where the commoners reside? I chuckled to myself and told her it was convenient. DH soon joined me in the adjacent Jungle Pool Lounge where he discovered cappuccinos and an orange juicer. Food porn alert.🤣
We noshed for a bit while the suite was refreshed. I finally tried the pizza. Although it was Nutella, strawberry, and hazelnut. It was okay. I passed on the fried egg pizza. I think MSC has the whole logo and self-promotion piece of cruise down pat. See mug and melamine buffet plate. The plates are huge and people pile them high.
We headed up to the YC pool deck to check the weather and found gale force winds and the breakfast crew clamoring for cover behind the bar. I do not expect they were going to get too many diners.
The pool net is stowed in a lidded garbage can after it is removed each morning. After the wet net is deposited in the can, it is dragged off to storage. I found this process fascinating.
We returned to the suite and packed up most of our things before lunch. Food porn alert. I visited with new Florida friends in TSL. They enjoyed hot chocolate while I opted for ginger-ale. My favorite smiling face on the bar team, Kim delivered it in this heavy, comical crystal highball. She said they just got them on board. Small touches like the drink ware on board exude understated elegance to me. I was reminded of our sole Crystal Cruises experience.🤩
Next it was time to spend the remainder of our OBC in the MSC logo shop and Venchi.
Venchi and the other shops were hopping.
I watched one of the chocolatiers at work through the fancy glass partition.
i stopped by The Hub to inquire about our complimentary Voyagers Club photo, but it was such a zoo there that the crew member that was assisting me suggested I come back later.😳
I opted for YCR which opened at noon. DH ordered pepperoni pizza and ginger-ale through room service.
Seafood spaghetti had lots of seafood and was pretty good.
Sadly, male passengers are not asked to remove their corny captain’s caps several of which have been spotted on a nightly basis.
I got dh one several years ago, and he never wore it. I guess I know why now.
