  1. Different ships and different concierge and made same mistake. You are correct only if $51.98 comes off the package. However, if only $25.99 then it’s a loss.
  2. I’ve sailed 3 times this year and did not notice that the allowance towards a package on my recent sails is $25.99 vs the $51.98. Never noticed because I use the 1st 2 D+ free days and then purchase the balance days package. I’ve noticed this on the Allure August sail and Oasis October sail. When I sailed Anthem at Easter it’s listed as $51.98 towards a package. Any ideas as to why ? Anthem vs Oasis
  3. If that is Tilapia in the plate, it's a very tick piece of a very large fish. Tilapia that I buy frozen in bag at supermarket (including frozen shrimps) come from South America and each piece is slightly ticker than sole. By the way, give me a piece of Bluefish anytime.
  4. There seems to be still a Black Friday special. Both for my upcoming Oasis and February Anthem sail of $13.99 for the 1st device and $11.99 for the 2nd when you purchase the plan in the cruise planner. Also, if one purchases 2 of more devices, the price for the add'l devices averages $10. All prices are per day/per person
  5. A good night to go to the WJ.😆 Have any Pinnies heard anything regarding the menus going forward.
  6. Yes, but the classic section provides additional flexibility if the entrees are not to our liking. Salmon, steak and pasta are good substitutes.
  7. Can't forget the service and the food experience on both the Oceanic and Leonardo Da Vinci.
  8. I'm on an 8 niter and the only additional port is Miami. Many years ago, when we left out of NYC the Oceanic only stopped in Nassau. We also sailed the Italian line I believe it was Leonardo Da Vinci and it stopped at St. Thomas only.
  9. Yes, waiting time is long these days. Thank God for speaker phones. I would suggest go to restaurant as soon as you board, but the times may not be available. Try sending an e-mail to RCLdining@rccl.com. I use this e-mail for special requests when it comes to the MDR, however, you should try for your request. They are usually pretty prompt in responding.
  10. We sailed Oasis in October, and now since Wipeout Cafe no longer, the only place to get a ready to order omelet is in the MDR. Was able to get freshly made omelets in the WJ on our February Allure sail. Ps. Someone posted that Johnny Rockets no longer offers freshly made omelets.
  11. We went to the CP cafe the 3rd of our October Oasis cruise and they were not ready at 12 PM. It took them some 10 minutes to get the beef out and the related breads and gravy. They did not trim any of the fat on the roast beef and our sandwiches were more fat than beef. Never went back to one of our favorite places for lunch. By the way, this is the 3rd cruise where no chips available in CP cafe. Speaking of cutting corners.
  12. You have to keep an eye on CC for any decent sales.😀 Someone posted that The Key during, their Labor Day sale, was less than $20 pp/pd. Just for the internet alone it was worth it. Also, another poster mentioned that if you one person selects 2+ devices under the current sale the first is priced at $13.99 and subsequent device(s) works to $10 pd.
  13. If there's one thing on Royal ships is the number of bars. Can't go too far without bumping into one.🤪 For solitude, I like the bar (Vintages ?) by Jamie's
  14. We did the KSC on Easter. The description is confusing, and we had to contact Royal to be sure that it included the entrance fee. The Shuttle/Bus takes about a little over an hour, depending on traffic. The bus driver was like having a tour escort as he was quite knowledgeable regarding the happenings at the Space Center. At that time, the KSC closed at 6PM.
  15. In my 3 sailings (Allure Feb.), Anthem (Easter) and Oasis (Oct,) the long lines were for MTD. However, I had traditional early seating on Oasis and when finished around 6:30 the diners were grouped according to their reservation time. Alos, I did notice that on the Oasis 3rd deck restaurant which accommodated MTD, the back portion of restaurant was sealed off and no diners. Don't know if it was every night or some nights because I wasn't facing the back of the restaurant the entire cruise.
  16. All you need to do is tell your waiter that you have a show to catch. Prior to pandemic, some waiters asked us if we had a show to catch and acted accordingly If it's not for economics why are these so-called extreme problems coming to light now.
  17. Someone had posted that for lobster night he/she asked the MDR Head Waiter for the lobster tail delivered to Chop's and paired it with the filet. Haven't tried it myself.
  18. The Casino desk tele # is 888.561.2234. I find that they are usually the best in dealing with. BTW, usually the cheapest balconies are the CP balconies. Depending on the itinerary, OV balconies are more expensive and overrated.
  19. The only real sale that I saw was the S&S internet of $13.99 for one device and $11.99 for add'l devices. Even cheaper if you person purchased more than one device. Calculated as $13.99 for the first and $10 for up to add'l 3 devices.
  20. I very much doubt it, they still have to carry record and serve the same number of dishes independent of the number of entrees on the menu. If it's a staff issue, then that is a totally different problem. As a matter of act, when my wife and I sat by ourselves, many times we were out in 45-50 minutes. We got to the MDR on time and our waiters took our orders right away. Not only that, but noticed on Allure (February), Anthem (Easter) and Oasis (October) many MDR tables in MDR (early seating) were empty. Maybe reserved for MTD or lack of staff, but who knows.
  21. Don't know why you dining times should take so long. My experience is in the 1.15 hrs. tops Maybe you have a large group and waiters wait for everyone before taking dining orders. Do you have an inkling, as the new skimpy menu will not resolve your issue, unless it drives many Paxs to the WJ. I think it's more of an economic issue, otherwise why would they charge for a 2nd lobster tail + 18% grats.
