  1. I'll never understand how someone can hear of one person's unfortunate incident and based on that decide they'll never choose that cruise line or hotel or resort or whatever.
  2. Don't have to climb into and out of a tub in order to shower. Tub base is three or four inches above bathroom floor making it awkward to step out, and reduces headroom in the shower for anyone six feet or more. Lastly, we shower, not bathe, so tub is unnecessary.
  3. N2 aft CCs on port side have showers and minimal noise from above. Have spent hundreds of nights there on Azamara ships.
  4. Never seen it done except for maintenance of the veranda.
  5. Look at the deck plan. CC suites with triangles have tubs.
  6. Right. But the highest level at Windstar, reached by us in nine cruises (not 40 or so, like Azamara), gives unlimited, free same-day laundry, not one shared bag on a 13-day cruise (as well as unlimited free wifi). That's free laundry.
  7. True...unless you are in an area not covered by Starlink. I was able to Zoom with no issue.
  8. I don't think anyone gets free laundry on Azamara, even Discoverer Platinum. One bag per seven days per stateroom is not "free."
  9. When were those cruises?
  10. Seems to me it's now occurring everywhere, except on trans-Atlantics. That's pretty "consistent."
  11. Except in the Colon area that Starlink has not covered, Starlink connectivity was excellent. Colon doesn't have traffic lights, either.
  12. Yes. So, I guess they are not saving money.
  13. Of course, nothing is "free." Everyone understands that. But, if you find yourself with hundreds of OBC dollars remaining late in a cruise, your choice is to let it go to waste or buy overpriced stuff in the shop or spa or on the wine list. That stuff may not be "free" but there's no additional out-of-pocket cost to you to take the stuff home or consume it on the ship.
  14. As is everything in the shops.
  15. I'd guess the Taittinger was very overpriced compared with a US wine shop, too.
  16. Comparison: https://www.soiladvocates.ca/maple-vs-birch-syrup/
  17. For the most part it was fine. Depends where Starlink's satellites are and whether the end you need is working.
  18. It's actually quite satisfactory where Starlink has coverage. Where Starlink has no coverage, there is no internet at all. I believe Tony said Colon was an area not covered. There was a full day and also half a day on the Christmas cruise where there was no internet.
  19. Guess it's a personal thing. We much prefer Zero to Diet. Much closer to "the real thing" in taste.
  20. There is no traffic going by the four tables against the wall (two against the mirrored walls) in the aft corners of Discoveries.
  21. We ask for one of these four tables against the wall in the rear corners of Disvoveries as they are relatively private. If one is available, we'll be given it. Cannot imagine tipping the host or hostess.
  22. We just left 8056 yesterday. No issue.
  23. 8056 was quiet. I'd think most of the CC suites aft of the rear elevator would be. 8056 was quiet for 24 nights. Aft of the rear elevator they are generally quiet.
