  1. BINGO... My wife and I go out to eat about twice a week and we go to 6-7 different restaurants a month. They all have waits, they all have open tables. They can't get enough staff My wife and I have been on a dozen NCL cruise. I can count on one hand our service for a meal was less than great. Only one time did we have really lousy service
  2. OK...... that makes sense. I can see their IT department blocking access
  3. Trying to wrap that one around my head. Social Media.... FB, Instagram all use the internet to access, so I'm a little confused about you can use social media yet not use email or the "internet"
  4. It was, the bridge tour was fine for about 10 minutes Lol. I thought the sanitation area was pretty interesting. The guy with the most stressful job...... (Provisions)! Here is some from the Escape.... Gem Bridge Tour
  5. Not on the Epic, done the Gem, BA and Escape. The Gem was the best, 3 hours long and 30 minutes on the Bridge
  6. Do a search on any cruise line, any ship. You will find all kinds of negative reviews. Don't let that stop you
  7. Ah yes lunch, in all of our time in suites and the Haven I have never had lunch Lol
  8. The Haven on the Jewel class ships is very nice, however no dedicated Haven Restaurant. The Haven courtyard is very small. You do get breakfast in one of the specialty restaurants (Haven and Suites)
  9. How long is your cruise? My wife and I have only used the laundry service a few times even though for us we get a free bag. Its taken two days to get it back. If your cruise is only 7 days it might be easier just to wash your clothes in the sink. We had a few things that shrunk
  10. When my wife and I had friends for dinner in the Haven restaurant with us the concierge told us what night we could do it. The Haven restaurant was never crowded to begin with and the concierge was able to pull up the best night to do this. He was able to see how many Haven guest were eating somewhere else (specialty restaurant)
  11. I've never seen anything written out about the subject. Maybe their is a policy actually written out somewhere
  12. 100% Wrong, twice in the Haven (Escape & Getaway) and twice we had non Haven friends have dinner with us in the Haven Restaurant. The had to pay X amount to do it
  13. You are most likely out of luck... but if you are first on board and run to guest services you might have a chance
  14. Smarty pants, that added 6 hours was going about 20knots because they went about 80 south to another island (backtracked) This change in itinerary was not done to save fuel. And the Garmin planner is on par with anything the cruise ships use, its a professional system just like the Garmin aircraft planning software And those dozens of NCL planning experts went to the wrong dock in St Lucia, they let it slide and didn't go back to the correct one because the Epic was coming in two hours later. It did screw up the pickup point for everything booked on board.
  15. We had the green / sustainable initiative BS on our last cruise. They change a few dates around to our ports and said it was for fuel savings. When I went on my Garmin App and plotted the cruise it ended up being 160 miles longer and 6 added hours at cruising speed. When I brought this up and the meet and greet they didn't know what to say LOL
  16. Yup, that has happened on three of 12 cruises.... and just after final payment Lol
  17. Stuff happens, we have had whole itineraries change because I storms. Missed Bermuda entirely a few years ago and we headed to Florida and the Bahamas. We made it to Port Canaveral and then missed GSC AND Nassau, Lots of angry people on that one. It was a very slow trip back to NYC. On our last cruise which was 12 days we missed Puerto Plata, no explanation why. Three of our other ports had time changes due to fuel economy or some BS like that
  18. Take the drone, I have on numerous cruises. The worst thing that happened is I had to take the drone back to a locked room when I came back from being off the ship in port. The best thing that happened was a number of the officers were so inthralled with it I was invited up to the bridge
  19. Great review as always Kim!!! Merry Christmas to you and your family
  20. Anyone who is cruising / traveling would be wise to bring your own test kits and a dose of Paxlovid for each person. My wife and I do just out of caution, we also bring N95 mask, one for each of us for each day of the cruise
  21. Getting ordained to be a marriage officiant with the ULC is very easy, took me about 5 minutes Lol
  22. So did I, at times you need to bounce back and forth to get the best views
  23. Must be user error. Chrome and Firefox were fine on a Windows machine and Mac
