  1. I did through my TA but still don’t see it on my account. She could not do it through the portal, she had to call. I did receive an automated email from Oceania that it’s been booked but no details about cabin, etc.,
  2. Wholey moley! The arrival time has gone away! 😅 I have been away from Princess for too long! lol How is there not chaos at the ports? The medallion makes that big of a difference? I love embarkation lunch in the MDR. How can that still happen if everyone can board in time to go? Crazy. I guess it's time to take another cruise and find out. lol
  3. Ah, interesting, I was having that problem as well with pricing not available over the weekend. I thought it was the use of a VPN. I got off it and it was back to showing me pricing. Good to know I'm not the only one with the issue. I don't like to have to call a TA either for pricing because they won't have the patience for my requests. I spend HOURS researching everything, different ships, cabins, I put it all on a spreadsheet and compare pricing and amenities. Then break it down to what I want quoted. I like to know pricing before I book so I make an education choice, for me, on our next cruise. I know there has been lots of frustration with Princess loyal folks, for myself included. I think for my family, we won't "never sail Princess again", but have moved on to exploring best options for itineraries we want to do. Princess will no longer be our first stop and book. It's probably better for us this way anyway. Home port sailing will still win out for us for most cruises, but we now have more than Princess to research prior to booking, more "work" required finding the best options. We have branched out, have one cruise booked with Princess and looking to book another cruise soon.
  4. I was really looking forward to looking into all that's new with Allura. Patiently waiting....
  5. Thanks!! I look forward to it 🙂
  6. Anyone know if the August 23rd date is still looking good for new bookings on Allura? I just haven't seen email or advertising on this.
  7. This is what we ended up doing in May. I briefly considered the train but then decided it was less stress to book the O shuttle to the airport. The problem was we wait.... an hour or so for stragglers who didn't disembark when they were supposed to. Two couples got on while we were waiting, but we eventually left without everyone. Wish people would respect times.....
  8. UGH!! Reading through this thread has been painful and eye opening. I am further saddened by what Princess is doing. I don't like the nickel and diming- AT ALL. In all fairness, we usually get a drink package, but we always consider NOT getting one. As we traditionally travel with the kids, our cruises have been 10-15 days, but we will soon be going on longer cruises, and hearing this just makes me want to jump ship. The drink package for long cruises is not worth the money, to us. Since the restart of cruising all I've heard is negative comments about how the food on Princess has declined. Prior to Covid, we had experienced the food decline ourselves, so hearing that it's worse was cause for concern. For the first time ever, I cancelled cruises we had booked (with FCD's) on Princess. I finally put them all on a booking for the Sun Princess next year, but the more I hear, the more I feel like canceling that too. Loyalty doesn't matter to Princess, you don't get discounts that are worth anything, and with the way things seem to be going, I'm not sure if I should make that Sun Princess cruise our last chance for Princess or just switch over to Oceania, who we have cruised since the restart of cruising and loved it. I'd rather pay more and get more up front, as opposed to paying slightly less, and getting a subpar experience. So we take less cruises, that's OK. One family leaving Princess doesn't matter to them, and it hurts because we've been so loyal for so many years.
  9. I happen to be on board on Vista right now and had to get Euros from reception because casino ATM only gives USD and we needed euros for an excursion. The euros we purchased were added to the on board charge account, I confirmed there is NO cash advance fee from credit card, and the balance will be settled to credit card as if it was an onboard purchase. O charges a fee but it’s far cheaper than using a ATM on shore. Just wanted to share our experience.
  10. oce_oceaniaclub.pdf They send this to us about benefits of booking on board
  11. I appreciate the heads up. I too am disappointed that you can't pay the up charge with the drink package. That's annoying, but better to know up front.
  12. We always like fresh flowers in the room. However, having to pay that much for flowers and a wine I don't need, is not something I'd want to do. I can live without the flowers too.
  13. Our first cruise to Alaska was LONG ago and in an interior cabin. It was fine. We spent a lot of time out of the cabin. Since those days, we prefer at least a balcony, but if my dates were set I wouldn’t rule out an interior cabin. If that’s the cruise you want to go on, book it and then be very active with available cabins in the category you want. Check often and hold immediately if you see something. you should be able to find someone who cancels or bid? Or enjoy the cheaper cruise in interior and spend your time outside the cabin?
  14. I was so excited when I saw your post!! A web version?!?! I've been away long enough to not realize it (and also didn't pay close enough attention on the personalize). Went right on and I couldn't access on the web version!! 😆 lol I did delete and add the app back, and now I can at least access my booking via the app. I see the fun still continues with the app.
  15. I have not received my "blue book" either, so I asked my TA... She said it was delivered on the 5th.😳 Now I need to see if someone else found it in the mail and put it somewhere. 😞 Is it a big deal if we don't have it? Just the luggage tags, right? Maybe it's a good think O is changing to print your own???? Will I be able to print them after check in? or if they were mailed I'm SOL?
  16. Can we check in on our computer or do we need to do it on our phones (to snap a photo)? My computer has a camera, so maybe....?
  17. I love the beaches in Barbados. The Hilton is a taxi drive to Harbor Lights, a great beach with loungers and food, and outdoor showers. We loved our day there and considered spending more days at the Hilton the next time 🙂
  18. We too love the Grand! Sounds like it was lucky there was space to move people to and that Princess is doing everything they need to accommodate passengers.
  19. Please do not take this the wrong way, but Count me in as someone who absolutely does not care about this addition.... I'm not into cruise ship entertainment of this fashion. There are so many other things to entertain me, my traveling companions to start with. 🙂 I worry that Oceania is spending money on something that isn't part of their core strength. I have yet to take my first O cruise, so don't lash out at me, but my first is coming up, on Vista, SOON. I'll check things out, so I can have an educated opinion, but my expectations are not high or eager for the "entertainment", ie dancers, singers, shows. I'm not a negative nelly. I'm super excited about my upcoming cruise, but the entertainment has nothing to do with the excitement.
  20. No, but that’s super cool!! While I do usually enjoy some sea days, an additional stop could be interesting
  21. I have seen Mazatlán taken off a cruise itinerary before, and that would be disappointing. We love getting off the ship, going to eat close by and walking back. Agree with the previous response about Mexico having a strong military presence and given the current conditions I would still take the cruise and do something in every port. In PV we always take the public bus to the malecón. In Cabo we go to Medano beach and we do all these things on our own. We've done the open air taxis in Mazatlán a million times as well. Hopefully they won't take any ports off. Plus, being so close to your cruise, I don't think they will remove ports. Good luck!!
  22. Do it! Back in the day, you could add the beverage package to any cruise, even an one nighter (Ive heard that is no longer the case). If it's available, I'd take it. Nice to have the gratuity and drinks included ahead of time.
  23. Thanks for sharing, those are ALL perfect examples of when travel stuff happens! I too have been stuck in Atlanta overnight as well and gotten a voucher for a hotel. Been stuck in JFK and had to pay for my own hotel because the delay was weather related and Delta didn't compensate. It's unpredictable and never fun to have the disruption. Plus, it's not even anyone's "fault", it just happens. I know people who live on the edge and always take that short connection and arrive within 30 minutes of their flight only to mostly make it most times. I just don't work that way. I am much more at ease when there is plenty of time before flight, between flights and all around. 🙂
  24. Just purchased a ticket on Iberia website that was a Level flight, so it looks like sometimes, they do show up on Iberia. Can't say I have always seen Level flight available on Iberia, but it was today.
