  1. I was so excited when I saw your post!! A web version?!?! I've been away long enough to not realize it (and also didn't pay close enough attention on the personalize). Went right on and I couldn't access on the web version!! 😆 lol I did delete and add the app back, and now I can at least access my booking via the app. I see the fun still continues with the app.
  2. I have not received my "blue book" either, so I asked my TA... She said it was delivered on the 5th.😳 Now I need to see if someone else found it in the mail and put it somewhere. 😞 Is it a big deal if we don't have it? Just the luggage tags, right? Maybe it's a good think O is changing to print your own???? Will I be able to print them after check in? or if they were mailed I'm SOL?
  3. Can we check in on our computer or do we need to do it on our phones (to snap a photo)? My computer has a camera, so maybe....?
  4. I love the beaches in Barbados. The Hilton is a taxi drive to Harbor Lights, a great beach with loungers and food, and outdoor showers. We loved our day there and considered spending more days at the Hilton the next time 🙂
  5. We too love the Grand! Sounds like it was lucky there was space to move people to and that Princess is doing everything they need to accommodate passengers.
  6. Please do not take this the wrong way, but Count me in as someone who absolutely does not care about this addition.... I'm not into cruise ship entertainment of this fashion. There are so many other things to entertain me, my traveling companions to start with. 🙂 I worry that Oceania is spending money on something that isn't part of their core strength. I have yet to take my first O cruise, so don't lash out at me, but my first is coming up, on Vista, SOON. I'll check things out, so I can have an educated opinion, but my expectations are not high or eager for the "entertainment", ie dancers, singers, shows. I'm not a negative nelly. I'm super excited about my upcoming cruise, but the entertainment has nothing to do with the excitement.
  7. No, but that’s super cool!! While I do usually enjoy some sea days, an additional stop could be interesting
  8. I have seen Mazatlán taken off a cruise itinerary before, and that would be disappointing. We love getting off the ship, going to eat close by and walking back. Agree with the previous response about Mexico having a strong military presence and given the current conditions I would still take the cruise and do something in every port. In PV we always take the public bus to the malecón. In Cabo we go to Medano beach and we do all these things on our own. We've done the open air taxis in Mazatlán a million times as well. Hopefully they won't take any ports off. Plus, being so close to your cruise, I don't think they will remove ports. Good luck!!
  9. Do it! Back in the day, you could add the beverage package to any cruise, even an one nighter (Ive heard that is no longer the case). If it's available, I'd take it. Nice to have the gratuity and drinks included ahead of time.
  10. Thanks for sharing, those are ALL perfect examples of when travel stuff happens! I too have been stuck in Atlanta overnight as well and gotten a voucher for a hotel. Been stuck in JFK and had to pay for my own hotel because the delay was weather related and Delta didn't compensate. It's unpredictable and never fun to have the disruption. Plus, it's not even anyone's "fault", it just happens. I know people who live on the edge and always take that short connection and arrive within 30 minutes of their flight only to mostly make it most times. I just don't work that way. I am much more at ease when there is plenty of time before flight, between flights and all around. 🙂
  11. Just purchased a ticket on Iberia website that was a Level flight, so it looks like sometimes, they do show up on Iberia. Can't say I have always seen Level flight available on Iberia, but it was today.
  12. I've never had a bad cruise, there is always something I enjoy, my family enjoys, etc. I may like a ship more or less, and decide not to cruise on it again, etc, I have even cruised on what some consider the "worst" ship in the fleet because it was a home port and loved every one of my cruises and the cruise staff. Perhaps I'm just easy to please. I may look at reviews, but they will not keep me from booking an itinerary I want to do. Then I make my own decision for myself. 🙂 But that's just me
  13. Go to the Level site directly. it's not always the cheapest option, but it's nice to have the nonstop flights from the West Coast! I always google Level airlines and it comes up as the first hit.
  14. Yum, I like that coffee much better than Starbucks (which I don't like).
  15. I travel for work, sometimes the airlines make really short connections. The cost to put you on the next flight is worth the potential miss on the connection. Sometimes they make it and others they don't.
  16. Count me in as a believer in going early, especially with a short connection. I don't know what happens in immigration in Canada, it hasn't been a layover for me, but when I travel to Europe, I always give myself at least two+ hours in Paris or Amsterdam on a layover. There are tighter connections, but they may not get you home that day.
  17. I don't really care either way, show up to muster/e muster. I always take it as a reminder of what to do and where to go. I guess, it may be more practice for the crew than it is for us, and if the crew needs practice, well, it's probably better to do a show up at muster instead of on the TV.
  18. Thanks for posting on your cruise!! I would love this itinerary! Enjoy your cruise!
  19. I'll give Ember a try towards the end of the cruise (when I reserved it), but if something looks better elsewhere (GDR) then I will cancel.
  20. What if there aren't porters? I guess we could just carry on our bags, if that's the only important paperwork one gets before the cruise. I'm so used to printing my own tags that I didn't even think of this!
  21. Do you actually receive documents in the mail before a cruise? What happens if you don't receive them? Going on our first O cruise in May.
  22. No, I meant what I said 😀 be it one way or round trip. PRE cruise is good, Post cruise NEVER good, for us of course, to each his own. This is why the direction/itinerary matters to us. For example, Alaska is amazing but will only cruise if the cruise originates in Alaska, otherwise we won’t go and I would never do a RT, you don’t see enough. We would do a cruise out of miami again, maybe, for Panama Canal and end in SF
  23. 😆 I think DH feels that way after any vacation. We never plan anything post vacation, as we are always ready to go home no matter how long or short a cruise is. The times we have planned something after we did not enjoy it as much as we would have pre cruise.
